Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: A New Beginning

"Now, please allow me to introduce the latest generation of exoskeleton products from the Osborn Group."

"The EXO-Miner Friend, an engineering exoskeleton, enhances the user's arm strength and balance. It is suitable for various deep-water and mining operations. Depending on the scenario, it can be fitted with diving or dust-proof armor, effectively protecting the user's life while improving work efficiency."

On the ship, young Harry Osborn was introducing this project product that had brought Osborn Enterprises back to life. Staff members wearing power exoskeletons and armor were demonstrating the armor's superiority.

"Now, let's slightly increase the environmental challenges for our demonstrator—as we all know, the current record for equipped diving is 332 meters." Harry smiled. "Let's go to 332 meters underwater."

The equipment hummed, and the staff member in the power armor waved at the camera, indicating he was fine.

As the equipment hummed, some invitees gasped in surprise—after all, typical diving operations involve a slow descent, and operating the equipment this way subjected it to water pressure far exceeding a gradual dive.

"This isn't the limit yet; let's continue testing."

Norman Osborn and General Ross were watching this scene from a distance.

"You have a good son," General Ross said.

"I won't deny that." Norman smiled. The two clinked glasses and walked toward Harry.

"Harry, this is General Ross, the Military head of the Military EXO Project." In reality, he was also a supporter of the Human Enhancement Program, but Norman didn't say it out loud, as the failure of that project had nearly cost the Osborns their company.

Harry nodded with a smile. "General Ross, I've heard much about you."

Of course he had; who didn't know about the deep connection between General Ross and the Hulk?

Harry wasn't a local; his original name was Harry, a transmigrator. It wasn't until recently, when Norman Osborn nearly turned into the Green Goblin due to the stagnation of the Human Enhancement Program, that his system awakened.

Having awakened the system, Harry relied on this exoskeleton technology to successfully transition Osborn Enterprises and keep it alive.

Seeing General Ross, he knew the main event of the day was coming.

"Ladies and gentlemen, that's all for today's demonstration for now. Please make yourselves at home." With that, the wealthy businessmen entered the ship without any dissatisfaction. After all, looking at products wasn't their only purpose for being here; socializing was equally important.

Next was the Military weapons demonstration, set to take place on a deserted island 300 miles away. They would be heading there by helicopter.

"First, the EXO-E1 power armor." Harry walked toward the power armor in the distance.

Seeing Harry walk over, Norman frowned. "Wait, Harry, what are you doing?"

"To verify the reliability of the weapon, I will demonstrate it personally. Trust me, Father."

Norman hesitated, while General Ross gave a subtle nod.

"The armor system of the EXO-E1 uses the latest Cermet material developed by our company. As a heavy power armor designed for the front lines, it can withstand various explosions and Impacts head-on."

As he spoke, a staff member threw a bundle of grenades at Harry.

Boom!

Harry was instantly engulfed in flames. The power armor's balance system kicked in; he took two steps back, and the Impact didn't even cause him any adverse reaction.

"This is an anti-personnel mine."

Then, he stepped on a mine. The anti-personnel mine only made his foot lift slightly, without much of a reaction.

"This is an anti-tank mine." Harry hesitated for a moment, not because he lacked confidence in the system, but because the force of an anti-tank mine was so great that being hit directly would inevitably look a bit clumsy.

His hesitation was noticed by Norman and General Ross. Just as they were about to say something, Harry stepped on it.

Boom!

This time, the heavy power armor was knocked over, and soaring flames completely engulfed Harry, making Norman's heart tighten.

"Cough, cough... that was a bit clumsy this time. But as you can see, the power armor is still functional, and the personnel inside have no issues other than potentially being knocked over."

As the smoke and dust cleared, Harry slowly stood up. The feet of the power armor were slightly blackened from the blast. To dispel General Ross's doubts, he jumped a few times to show that combat capability was unaffected.

"And now for the final test..."

Rumble, rumble...

Staff members slowly rolled out an artillery piece.

"This..." Ross was surprised now. He looked at Norman, who simply nodded at him.

"This cannon simulates the main gun of a main battle tank currently used on the battlefield. As for its power... you know it better than I do. Detailed parameters will be given to you after the experiment. Now, let the experiment begin. Enter anti-artillery stance."

"Against tank shelling, the power armor is equipped with a Reactive Armor System. This system isn't complicated and is highly reliable."

Harry dropped to a half-kneel, removed the steel plate from his back, held it in front of him, and struck a defensive pose.

Boom!!!

The shell left the barrel and slammed straight into the steel plate. The reactive armor exploded instantly, triggering the reaction system. The armor's hands immediately switched to auxiliary control mode, pushing the shell outward!

Bang!

To Ross, it looked as if the shell had been pushed aside, grazing the power armor and landing behind Harry, leaving him dumbfounded.

"The defense performance test for the EXO-E1 is over. There will be combat tests later, but those will be operated by trained soldiers. After all, I'm not a soldier."

"Good, good, good, good!"

[Mission: Reach a strategic partnership with General Ross]

[Completed]

[Reward: Technology: Neural Implants, Mechanical Prosthetic Technology]

Seeing the message box pop up from the system, Harry smiled. He knew this cooperation was a sure thing; all that was left was for his old man to negotiate a fair price with Ross.

Seven days later.

"Cheers."

Harry and his cheap old man returned home.

"So, how much is General Ross willing to pay?" Harry asked.

"Two million dollars per unit for the armor, with an initial delivery of 4,000 units." Norman looked relaxed. "Three million dollars for every ten batteries."

"A good deal. The battlefield over there is getting more and more intense."

"Indeed. If we were originally an arms company, we could probably sell another batch of weapons."

"Dad, that's impossible. If we were in the arms trade, we'd probably be having an even harder time." Harry shrugged. He was thinking of Stark Industries; calculating the time, Tony and the Military should have signed a contract for a new batch of weapons, and he'd be heading to Afghanistan for testing soon.

"By the way, son, the shareholders have basically been dealt with. You are now the Chairman of the company."

[Mission: Jointly hold more than 51% of Osborn Group shares with Norman Osborn]

[Mission Completed. Shares held: 79%]

[Mission Reward: Item: Global Energy Grid Design Outline]

"That's good..." Harry suddenly felt something was off and snapped his head up to look at his dad. "Wait, Dad, who did you say is the Chairman of the company?"

Norman smiled. "My son, it's you. I've decided to hand the company over to you now. If you don't mind, I can continue to serve as your CEO for a few years. After all, I'm just working for my son."
