Theron didn't say anything for a while. He just stood there, watching me, waiting for my answer.
"I can't die, Your Majesty," I said at last. "Whether it's humans or other supernatural creatures, none of them can actually kill me."
Honestly, sometimes I wished they could. It would be easier if an assassin came for me and succeeded. Because really, who would want to live such a miserable life for so long?
Other werewolves lived in packs or maybe within the kingdom, but my pack had vanished. They had been wiped out because I brought misfortune to every place I set foot in.
So unlike others who wished for a long life, I always believed that death was the only way to end the constant misfortune that clung to me.
