Arriving to the surface, adventurers gave way to the returning heroes of the city, though they were a bit more surprised this time around since one of their stronger members was currently lugging up what looked like a tree.
"Hey, anyone ever seen a tree that big being brought up before?"
"No, think this is the first time, I wonder what kind of tree it might be?"
Soon, Zald, the one carrying the tree over his shoulder, got stuck. The roots were fine, since they were bent and molded to fit through the dungeon, but the branches were a bit harder with incessant need to keep the fruit bearing branches safe. However, stuck might be a horrible way to describe the situation, it was closer to a single moment where the wall gave way, causing a little bit of destruction to the dungeon entrance.
Shurry reacted instantly, quickly making sure the tree was okay. "Huh, hmm!" He let out a relieved sigh.
"Don't worry about it, I wrapped the tree in my skill to keep safe, in that moment it was basically a high quality weapon." And it was also at this moment when Zald deactivated his skill, the tree on the other hand… Had way more than enough, and instantly wilted on the spot, turning into a giant pile of dust. "Uh oh…"
Shurry, teared up, clearly about to cry. "Hey, don't worry about it, Uncle Zald will go down and grab another right away." Empress said with a truly, utterly, terrifying glare at Zald.
"Yep, right now, Alraj you're coming with me." Zald said, and before any objections could be made, Alraj had been lifted up with one hand, unwillingly being brought back into the dungeon.
"Noo!! I wanted a hot bath!"
Shurry was left digging through the pile of dust searching for any fruits that might have survived but, no luck. Now, he really was about to cry but he remembered that Maxim also carried a tree. "Unccy Maxy don't break the tree like Unccy Zaldy!"
Maxim laughed, and smirked. "Don't worry. The hole he made is big enough for this tree to fit. And it seems like he still needs some practice handling that technique. I'm better at it, I'll show you."
"Oh no you don't! That's the last one, you break it and he really will cry."
"Hahahaha!" Leon laughed, and let out a heavy sigh. "Go ahead Maxim, crush Shurry's hopes right now. You'll see what he can really do when holding back isn't a thing he's planning on."
Maxim chuckled. "Oh come on, I'm not that crazy. I saw what happened down there just as much as you did… That reminds me, Shurry, as well as everyone else, don't breathe a word of it to others. Let's take some time to understand it first." He said in a low whisper, then noticed a rat in the distance, glancing at it once before it scurried away in total terror. "Hmm, Let's take this back to your home first."
"EXCUSE ME! Who's going to pay for these damages exactly?" A furious guild member spoke up, crushing her clipboard.
"Uh, you can send us the bill, but you might want to have an entrance large enough to do stuff like this. I get the feeling that boy is going to be bringing more of them up to the surface soon."
The Guild's woman sighed. "Fine! The bill will be sent to Zeus Familia."
Maxim leaned down. "Shurry, let's go, quickly now, before the angry lady gets more angry."
Shurry, & Maxim ran through the streets, the people quickly getting out of their way. Though it was a bit dangerous, Shurry used his light platforms to help get home quicker, and safer by going over the city, instead of through it.
"It's dangerous to show off in the city, Shurry."
"I just have to get stronger than they are, right? If I show them something, it's because I can deal with the counters."
This boy, his battle sense is horrifying. If he could receive proper training, and the right environment, he'll be a natural disaster. Maxim smirked, and let out a small chuckle. Good, That pervy god was right about something for once. And more than that… Well, I won't say such morbid things right now, after all, nothing is written in stone.
Arriving at the Hathor familia home, Shurry landed with Maxim following behind him, the large garden had many trees, he sniffed around for the perfect spot, and then started digging. It wasn't long before Nernatti came out to see that there was an Mruit tree in the fruit garden.
"Oh my, where did this good thing come from?"
"Big sister, look, there, isn't that- SHURRY!" Legi had pointed out, but ran out to give Shurry a big hug.
"Ah! Legi!" Shurry responded with a similar degree of excitement, hugging her back, and wagging his tail. He looked over to see Nernatti. "Big Sister! Look what I brought back! It's a Mruit tree! Now we can have all the Mruits we want!" He couldn't help but lick his lips at the thought… He was imagining swimming in a sea of Mruit, munching down on them as he swam.
"Pfft, you've been in the dungeon for almost two months! Come let's get you cleaned up, it's bath time!"
"Yay!" Shurry cheered, and looked back at Maxim. "Thank you, Unccy Maxy!" He waved.
…
After the bath Shurry grabbed a cloth, and a handful of the Mruits, wrapped them up and tied them to his back in such a way that his movements wouldn't let them drop.
"Hey, where are you going, Shurry?"
"To find mommy, she's not here so I'm going to bring these tasty things to her. Bye bye!" And he ran out of the house with a speed that left the others absolutely bewildered.
Bokhoir let out a hefty laugh. "Oh we're going to be in for an earful later for not keeping him here to wait for her, aren't we?"
"Maybe, the Denatus is still ongoing after all. Not like any of us could catch up to him either. He took off with speed beyond a level 4. What were they feeding him?"
The chef chuckled, over hearing things. "By the looks of it, not much. I'll make sure we've got a nice big meal ready for him when they get back."
