"I don't remember seeing a monster that could do something like this down there, what happened?" Shurry asked, with a curious worry.
"It was the Amphisbaena, my familia was tasked with taking it out when it was confirmed to have respawned. However, the battle didn't go too well. The damage you see all my familia's healers can do on their own, given they were targeted by a siren's shout, causing turbulence in their souls. I can't even safely update them until they get a good rest."
"Wait, that big prey already respawned?" Shurry questioned, momentarily shocking the God of the masses. "It didn't taste that good anyways, so I guess it's fine… Alright let's see here…" He went over to the nearest person, and sniffed a little bit. "Yep, I can heal this." Shurry's tail began to wag.
Soon, a light emitting a truly serene glow enveloped everyone in the room. The severe burns, and even the instability of the soul were all completely gone, it was truly a perfect recovery.
"Wow, my healing got a lot stronger." Shurry cutely giggled. Hathor crouched down, patting Shurry's head and whispering something in his ear, it took him by surprise. "Are you sure mommy?" Hathor nodded.
And so Shurry walked over to the now completely surprised girl, and then handed her one of the last Mruits from his cloth wrap. "Huh?" the girl uttered through the tears still falling like the falls on the 25th floor of the dungeon. She took the Mruit after realizing it was for her, and then started eating, finally smiling a little bit.
"My name's Shurry, what's your name?" He asked, with an interested look.
"Ardee, Ardee Varma."
"Ardee, you wanna be friends?"
Ardee's eyes lit up with a hint of confusion, but also a childish happiness. She looked at the rather expensive fruit in her hands. Then she looked at the person who'd been burned to kingdom come, waking up to see the interaction.
"Look at that, Ardee, your first friend." The woman on the bed giggled.
"A friend?" Ardee's eyes began to light up a little brighter, and then a large smile appeared on her face. She at that time lost all reserve and hugged Shurry, laughing. "Friends!"
A room, once completely filled with the horrific feeling of loss plaguing their hearts, now couldn't help but be filled with cheer.
"First the boy heals everyone, and now the children warm our spirits. How could we stay down at a time like this?"
"There will be a time to mourn our losses, but let us not forget to be grateful we came out the other side, alive."
…
"Hathor, you told him to do that, what are you expecting from me?"
"Oh nothing, just that now he has a good reason to keep coming to get some assistance with his questions on monster taming."
"Well, it's good for children to get along."
It wasn't long before Ardee & Shurry left the injury room to run around and play. The two of them really got along, from the start. In Ardee's head, she made a secret vow to herself, to always smile. Shurry was happy to have a friend much closer to his age, and made a vow to always do what he can to make her happy. They were childish vows, but even so, they were made.
In a different room the report on their expedition came to Ganesha. He being one of the few gods who could feel for the losses, cried at the number of fatalities, and doubly so when he learned the dead had unfortunately been left behind, or their bodies were burned to ashes right away.
"My children, taken from me so soon…"
"It's never easy for our children when they lose someone close to them. I see you feel similarly."
"I do, even if they can reincarnate to live again… They won't ever be the same person."
Soon there was a knock at the door, it was a lighter knock, clearly made by a child. Ganesha made himself presentable, not wanting to burden children with such things. "I Ganesha, welcome you, come in!"
The door opened, and in strutted Shurry, in his wolf form, with Ardee riding on his back. "Oh wow, I didn't realize your child could transform whenever he wanted. Wait, did those two mention that before? Or did I see it before? Hmm, interesting."
"Lord Ganesha, I had lots of fun playing today!"
"I did too, mommy!"
"Children truly are adorable." Hathor giggled. "Unfortunately today's play has to come to an end. My familia is waiting for my return. And Shurry has to come with me."
"Awe, he can stay for dinner though, right?"
"Sorry little sweetie, but Ganesha might have a panic attack seeing the price tag for Shurry's meals."
"Shurry, you'll come see me again, right?"
"Yeah! We're friends!"
"Well-" Ardee gets off Shurry's back… "it's a promise then!" She said, and kissed Shurry's nose.
"Yeah! A promise!" Shurry replied back, returning the kiss with a nose lick.
Ardee hugged Shurry, the two giggling for a while until it was time for Hathor & Shurry to leave.
…
Back at home, once the two of them arrived, Shurry's slightly saddened face lit up once he saw the giant meal made for him.
"So, what do you think, Shurry? Huh-" The chef asked, then stunned, chuckled, and went back to the kitchen to continue their work, all while saying. "I'll bring out some more delicious food!"
"Yummy!!!!!" Shurry exclaimed, devouring with such speed that Hathor familia thought about their proverbial wallets for a moment.
It wasn't long before the next morning when the second Mruit tree was brought back, and a third one too. "The third one is because I broke the first one… Sorry about that." Zald chuckled, and then ran off again with the young Alraj. "Come on Alraj, it's training time."
"Oh come on, I want to go peeping, and sleep in my bed!"
"There'll be time for those things once you're stronger."
"Shurry save me!"
"Have fun training!"
Alraj, was finally out of sight, and now it was time, time for something Shurry hadn't had in quite a while, a status update.
