"Oh? Um.. Unccy Bokhoir? If you have trouble, get to the Under Garden. There's a small group of wolf monsters there that'll help you if you show them this tuft of my fur. It won't be much help, but they're loyal! Use them if you need to." Shurry smiled, handing over a small charm made from his very own fur.
"I see, I'll hope to not need it, but will do so if needed." Bokhoir smirked, putting the charm in Legi's care. "She'll be the best choice for such a task if it comes to that."
"Huh? But I still haven't memorized the floor main paths." Legi protested, but she didn't let go of the charm. "But I guess, if you think it's good for me to have it, then I'll keep it."
Hathor watched the scene with a quiet interest, smiling all the while. Seems Legi is developing beyond her initial attachment. This is good, she'll make more progress this way.
A few moments later Bokhoir, and his large dungeon party had taken their leave. The remaining combatants of the familia were to undergo their new training requirements. With everyone gone, including the familia captain, Nernatti, the remaining executives were in charge of keeping things running smoothly… This included the Amazoness Oxelene.
"Lady Hathor, what do you have planned today? Spending time with Shurry?" Oxelene had come over and started patting Shurry's head. Hmm, looks like it worked, I was really able to avoid causing him issues!
"That's right, he just returned from the dungeon. He even interrupted Denatus just to see me again, it's best to spend a bit of time with him for now." Hathor said. "Plus, I'd missed him so much! My little cutie!"
"He really is absolutely adorable." Oxelene affirmed, watching that tail wag.
"Mommy, what's our first stop today? Meat skewers, or stuffed potato poppers? Both?" Shurry asked, bright eyed.
"We're going to get you some money first. It's best to have a big bag of money when trying to feed you." Hathor answered.
Shurry's excitement remained high, though it lowered the moment his stomach growled. "But… Food…"
"No worries, we can get snacks on the way to picking out the jobs."
"Oh, here, take this and get yourself some munchies. Consider it a gift for doing so good in the dungeon." Oxelene said, placing a small pouch of coins on the table.
"Thank you!" Shurry smiled, wagging his tail. He'd been completely fine with Oxelene now. Something about her is different. She smells like an amazoness, but it's overpowered by the scent of a good person. She's a very good person!!!
…
Having left the familia home, Hathor walked through the streets of Orario holding Shurry's hand. She truly was fitting the role of a watchful mother, causing more than a few people nearby to talk about how cute they are.
Stopping at a food stall, one a little closer to the Hathor familia home, Hathor stood there, this time a little more serious. "Give us two of everything, make that three."
The vendor, you'd heard the stomach growling earlier, laughed heartily. "Coming right up, Lady Hathor."
Shurry looked up at the vendor cooking away, he stood on his tippy toes, and peeked over the top of the stall. His eyes watching the food sizzle, and flip. "Yummy, yummy food!" His tail brushed side to side, bouncing along the way. His ears flicked to match whenever the food was flipped.
Other passersby giggled seeing such an excited boy. The stall vendor couldn't help but chuckle seeing such a cute scene. So he prepared a separate piece of meat, quickly cooking it up, knowing full well that a little rawness of the meat was actually preferred among the werewolves. "Hey, what's your name, little guy?"
"Shurry!"
"You're too cute, it's made my day a little brighter, so have a special treat, it's on the house." The Vendor said, with a quick toss of the meat into the air towards Shurry.
Shurry jumped and caught it in his mouth, when he bit into it, a fresh full flavor impact flooded from the meat. His eyes lit up, and smiled with a completely satisfied expression. "Yummy!!! Really Yummy!"
"Good, I'm glad you liked it!" The Vendor laughed, having a good time. "Lady Hathor, your son is absolutely adorable." He said, preparing the take away bag for them.
"I know, he's just the cutest, most adorable bundle of joy." She smiled a little warmer as she grabbed the bag.
Shurry opened his little money bag, and started pulling out the right change, placing it on the counter for the vendor. "1, 2, 3… 7000 Valis right?"
The vendor, surprised for a moment, then seemed to get the idea. "I see, you're getting experience paying for things now, aren't you?" Well, let's see here… Yep, this is enough to cover the cost. And… Here's your change, 70 Valis."
Shurry tilted his head, confused, and looked at the number again, did the mental math again. "Change? Isn't it just 7000?"
"That's right, good job kid, you're cute, smart, and have a noble soul. Sorry about that, it was just a small test."
Shurry wagged his tail. "Oh! You're a good person too!" Shurry cheered, just before he and Hathor started walking away.
"That kid, something about him… He's so kind."
…
Later, arriving at the Guild, Shurry munched on the food, his hands constantly devouring every bite. Hathor looked at the quest board, looking for any information on quests that would be a good match for her son. Though, nothing really popped out, so it was time to visit the guild reps.
Given that such an influential goddess had appeared, Royman came running out, and had a private room prepared. Hathor might not have been the most influential in terms of dungeon exploits, but when it came to some other businesses, she was second to none.
A nervous and sweating Royman, rubbed his cheek. "What business does Lady Hathor have with the guild today?"
"Nothing too serious, nothing to sweat yourself thin over. I'm looking for some good paying healing requests for my son to take on." Hathor explained, sipping the prepared tea. "I looked on the board earlier, and didn't see anything that worked for him. I'd prefer him to get safe work since he's still young. And he needs to fill out his earnings before that bag of food runs out."
"Ah, if you wouldn't mind waiting a moment, I'll get the most up to date information right away!"
"I don't mind, just don't waste time, I gave you a deadline. And he's almost done." She said, holding back a chuckle.
