Chapter 268 - C268 : Loki Familia's Decision

Loki trembled in her seat, clearly upset with the implications. Everyone of her kin just witnessed Freya's children stick by her regardless of the problems it caused for them, and now her very own were refusing her in broad strokes, she started looking to each of them individually to see if any of them would crack under the pressure of her gaze.

"Loki, I'd suggest not doing that." Zeus warned with a truly terrifying pressure in his voice, purely directed towards her, and her alone.

"Alright, Orba you have spoken, but this kind of decision is one that everyone must state their intentions individually. You are leaving her familia…" Hermes said, trying to give Loki one final chance in the minds of her familia's members.

"Respectfully, Lord Hermes… let me tell you something. When I came to Orario, I went around the city with my friend, we searched for a familia to join. There were a few that were willing to take us, but there didn't seem to be much benefit in joining them. So when Finn showed up and explained he was the captain of one of the strongest familias in the city, we were overjoyed." Raul began, and then he let out a tense sigh. "Fast forward a bit, and now that we know we were fighting for, and bearing the mark of a familia headed by murderers… it leads one to think really hard about whether or not the benefits outweigh the issues, they absolutely do not outweigh them." He added, taking a bit of a break from the pressure on him.

"Furthermeow, there's the matter that we came to Orario to adventure in the dungeon, not to be bound to a familia forever. If we found someone that ended up being good, a place where we belonged, that would have been for the best." Anakitty finished Raul's thought, showing off a bit more than either realized.

"Oh my, you finished each other's thoughts. You can come to my familia, what do you say?" Ishtar said, and then took a light puff from her ridiculously long pipe.

"Absolutely not. We already know who we'd like to join in place of Loki's prison." Anakitty quickly bit back against the sex freak of a goddess.

"What's wrong girlie? Is my familia not good enough for you?" Phreme asked, spraying spit everywhere. "You can't just get away with insulting us like that, you know."

"Somehow, I'm not scared of a bunch of prostitutes playing up threats like this. I'd be more worried about keeping Raul to myself."

Phreme took a step forward, she was planning on making good on her threats, however, someone simply let out a chilling effect, one directed right towards her, yet also one the whole room could feel. It was Leon, and it was at that moment Phreme backed down.

"Alright everyone, let's get back on track. There's quite a lot of children who need transfers. Let's get to it."

And so what began was Loki's ultimate humiliation: she was forced to release all of her familia's new members one by one. First up was Orba.

"Orba, who do you want to join? You've got pretty much anyone to choose from."

"I respect Origin Wolf deeply. However, I have another goal, so if he would accept me, I'd like to join Zeus familia." Orba answered.

"Hmm, verywell, I'll give you my blessing Orba. How about you Raul?"

"Thank you, Lord Zeus." Orba replied.

Raul shook his head, slowly. "Thank you for the offer Lord Zeus, however, Anakitty and I want to join the same familia, together. So, Lady Hathor, if it would be-" Raul asked.

"Hmm? It looks like the two of you are already prepared, sure. I'll accept you, you love birds."

What happened was a long chain of events like this. Eventually, the Loki familia had mostly converted to other familias… the only ones who hadn't yet, were those who weren't allowed to. It was an absolutely humiliating scene for Loki. And once finished, they'd all leave, now with their new familia designations. The majority of them were absorbed into Astraea, Hathor, Hera, or Zeus familia. The remaining members who felt like they couldn't cut it being in a familia so close to the hero of their age, chose some of the mid rank familias like the Miach familia.

"Alright, now that the war game matters have concluded, is there any other business that needs to be brought up?"

"Yes, there is." Vidar spoke up. "I am announcing that I will be attaching my familia to Hathor's for any support she may need from us. We won't move in together, but we will work together with her."

"I second this notion as well." Miach added. "I plan on aiding them in whatever ways I can."

Hermes chuckled. "You both accepted people who chose you because you were removed from Hathor familia…"

"Well, it's not like this move will bring us too close for their comfort, plus, some of those children made this choice because they were still a little scared of what Origin Wolf may do. The stigma they carry now is heavy indeed." Miach explained in a calm manner.

"Agreed, having their goddess hide murder from them, while smiling isn't what I'd call good manners. Though, she does live up to the trickster name."

There was some more banter back and forth for a while, and then… the Denatus ended. A long written account of what transpired, was posted for the public to read. There was a huge shift in Orario once again. One that caused more than a few ripples among many different markets, and occupations.

With all of the new additions to allied familia, to include the new allies, training became far more serious than it ever had before. Shurry would be seen aiding in training everyone, or taking care of his pregnant wives, there really was no in between.

Time began to roll day after day. Bokhoir and the other high levels would occasionally handle dungeon dives, each rotating to keep the smooth flow of growth. There was also, always a constant presence of an emergency response crew, one that would be ready in case an incident occurred in the dungeon. This crew had enough collective power to defeat a few level 7 floor bosses all at once, that was the minimum requirement…

Eventually, months had passed, and there were four young werewolves added to Shurry's family.
