Chapter 269 - C269 : The Tsugunai Leaves

The four young pups; Alfia's girl, Freki… Ardee's girl, Giri… Neze's son, Skol… and Rose's girl Hati. All four of the women went everywhere with their baby, they were the cutest little things, and they loved the attention others gave them.

Skol really enjoyed the times when he'd be passed around to the other familia members, he'd get a lot of extra milk while this happened. It was helpful, since like their father, all four babies had a voracious appetite, one that would only grow for a while. Similarly, they also grew at a similar pace to how he did when he was born, proving that he really was the true alpha, Fenrir.

Whenever Ardee and her sister wives put the babies down for a nap, it was always with their father, creating an adorable scene the four of them watched.

"Look at that, they really love their father." Neze smirked, a faint flash would cross her eyes before she'd shake her head. "Not yet, I need to get back into the swing of things. I can't stay rusty forever."

"That's good. With them resting here with their father, we're free to train as hard as we want." Rose added. "I'm going to reach level 4 as soon as possible."

"I for one, wouldn't mind having another right now." Ardee giggled watching Shurry's ears flick.

"Agreed, they're too cute. I wondered how Meteria felt when she had Bell… it must be something like this." Alfia said, allowing herself a moment to express feelings she would otherwise keep hidden, here though, she felt fine in sharing them.

…

Before anyone knew it, there had been a full year since the Evilus attack on the city. And on the anniversary, there were honors, and mourning all around the city. Though, in one place, there was a much different atmosphere.

The ship had finally finished construction, stocking and fueling. This was the ship that would carry the Loki and Freya familias around the world to spread good wherever there was evil. Its name…

"So, what do you want us to call this ship?" Finn asked, turning to a still distraught Loki.

"Does it matter?" Hedin chimed in, clicking his glasses. "There's only one name we should give it."

Shurry was present here, to see them off, not because he cared about them, no, rather he was making sure they didn't make any more excuses to stay longer. He was tired of seeing Meteria struggle with her emotions while they were around.

"And what do you wish to call it, Hedin?" Shurry asked with a powerful gaze.

"We name it after what its purpose is… Tsugunai, it means atonement in the language of the gods." Hedin said, proving his mind superior once more.

"I concur, that's a good name for it."

Shurry let himself show a small smirk, an earned one. Freya seemed to want to ask something, for that matter Loki did too.

"Origin Wolf, are you certain this is what you want to do?" Freya asked, she could see something else. "It doesn't look like you want us to leave."

"The only thing left for you here is a one way ticket to Tenkai. Now that you'll be leaving, you can finally start doing some good in the world. Or at least try to… furthermore, with you gone, my sister Meteria will finally get a good night of sleep, knowing that her husband's murderers are paying the price for what they've done." Shurry answered, making sure not to tell a lie. "I'm also curious to see what results of your journey. Will you finally come to realize what you did was purely evil? Or will you come to some other conclusion, one that I've missed?"

"Pfft, you're cute when you don't tell the whole truth." Freya giggled.

"Freya, if I had my way, I'd have long since sent your familia to the cycle of reincarnation, of course sparing the ones who hold no responsibility for what happened. As for you… I'm not sure how I'd punish you…"

"I can think of many positions…" Freya teased, and then turned to walk away. "Go ahead and ask your question Loki, let's get out of here so I can have fun with my muscle man."

Loki looked Shurry square in the eyes. "You'd better treat Ais right! You hear me?!"

"I'll do a far better job than you ever could. You've already failed her once, and her father trusted me with her training. I won't fail either of them."

"Let me have Ais…" Loki pleaded despite the fact she just prodded about keeping Ais safe. Loki was mentally unstable without her precious Ais.

"No. Now get out of here, Loki."

After some kicking and screaming, the Loki familia managed to board the Tsugunai, Loki didn't make it easy, surprising everyone with her ridiculous strength. Even so, the ship's hull finally closed. The magical engines hummed to life, and then they took off, away from the city. Leaving behind the city of Orario, a place both familias that wished to be number one, and now, neither would ever have the chance again, at least, not in this lifetime anyway…

"Van, how's the ship handling?"

"Everything's in working order, Finn."

"Fantastic. With the map we got from Leon, and Lady Idunn, we can map our own course to ensure we don't overlap any of their stops." Finn said, eyeing the world map, with a lightly marked out route the School District follows.

"How about we make a circuit something like this? It will cover a few key places on the continent, it's out of the way of the School District's route, and we can also potentially gain a few insights on the Black dragon's movements." Hedin suggested.

Allen's face twitched… "That damn thing… Ottar! Fight me."

"I had the same idea."

"We will act with this route for now, and make adjustments as we need. Riviera, can you stay here and manage things this time? The rest of us are going to fight until we can't lift a finger."

"Fine, but I'm not going to be the only one doing this."

"We'll rotate out every two days or so. We need to do this to continue growing, there's no other way to get excelia without the dungeon."
