After his disappearance through the barrier, A veritable army of first class adventurers readied their weapons, their expressions hardened. The tension in the air grew, the ground began rumbling with what was happening inside the barrier.
Alraj, the spirit who came down from Tenkai noticed the tension, he could understand, he had once stood before the mighty monster contained within the shimmering wind barrier. He swallowed, cleared his throat, and began hopping through the army of adventurers, giving each of them a wink, and then hopping away.
Each adventurer let out a relieved breath as if they were able to focus, and remain more relaxed, as if a portion of their tension had just vanished. They also felt like they could jump higher, and leap further.
Just as they were growing more relaxed, the rumbling changed to a reverberating quake traveling through the earth, nowhere was spared. Everyone felt this quake. The shining barrier which stood for 1000 years began cracking under the intense disturbance…
Inside the barrier the one eyed black dragon had known he would soon appear, and so, a grand welcoming had been prepared. It, along with every dragon in it's thunder, hundreds, thousands of dragons, opened their maws…
Shurry appeared through the barrier and was met with a horde of dragon's breath, the heat so intense his fur singed, burning slightly as it approached him. He responded in kind, opening his jaw, and released a ray of moon light in direct conflict with the dragon's breath.
There a clash of wills began, and while each side struggled to hold the other back, the pressure inside the barrier was mounting.
Luna left Shurry's body, protected by the mutual ongoing battle. She could find who she was looking for…
"ARIA!" She floated around, looking high and low. "ARIA!" She continued shouting.
"Don't bother looking for her, I know where she is."
"Where?"
"In the Dragon's eye, you can relax, we will rescue her in time."
"But I-I-I… She's in so much pain…"
"I know, but this will take me a lot of effort even now. I can do this for sure, I'm glad we waited as long as we did. I would not have managed to hold this back otherwise. Now take control of the barrier, and force it to shatter."
"Right! I'm sorry, I just…"
Shurry's voice came in once more, this time with some strain. "Don't worry about it, I know how you get when it comes to a spirit's pain." And then quickly returned to focus completely on the dragons, with a glare and a snarl.
Luna went to work, knowing that the surroundings, and much of the world would soon face a destructive force… Her moonlight filled into the cracks slowly forming within the wind barrier, making it glow… She had to, it was too dangerous for the adventurers to fight while the one eyed black dragon was nearby. People like Zald, would be able to handle it, but there weren't many of them here.
…
The barrier began shining with a brilliant power rivalling the moon, the sight was so beautiful, so romantic, and wonderful. The pleasant feeling that radiated off would have been nothing but soothing… However, everyone there knew, they knew that hell awaited behind the barrier. The depths of their wills solidified, clad in orichalcum, and then…
Zald noticed it first, he was eager, and attentive, his Level 11 eyes showed him the exact moment was nearing. He raised his sword, cape fluttering in the wind…
The barrier shattered.
Releasing the roar of a dragon's thunder…
Releasing the terror of a dragon's thunder…
Releasing the horror of a dragon's thunder…
Releasing the pressure of a dragon's thunder…
Zald didn't waste a single breath, a single moment, he was already on the move. And in a single move, six slashes of light sentenced a massive dragon to death. He reached into the dragon's body and robbed it of its liver, and ate it. He was the predator.
"1 Down!" He said. "I'll take care of these bigger guys, you all take care of the rest. And leave the big one there to him." He smirked, and darted off again, once more into the fray. This time he fought with a fierce vengeance burning in his chest. "THAT'S FOR GALE!" A slice, and a dragon's death cry… then another, and another… Each time he shouted out the names of his deceased familia, carrying their will as if channeled through the blade he carried.
Noticing the rest weren't able to move with ease, Shurry released a full moon into the sky. The effects were immense, and immediate… Even the one eyed black dragon faltered, giving Shurry the chance to push their breath struggle back into itself, resulting in a dragon's roar, temporarily silenced as Shurry's jaws chomped down on its throat, and ran off through the thunder.
As he ran, he flipped his neck around a little, slamming the massive dragon into the ground, tearing a few scales off here and there, all while permanently changing the landscape.
"It's time for us to end their terror!" Alise shouted, with her voice carrying over a vast distance, she had something to fight for, more than one, she hoped. "AGARIS ALVESYNTH!" She grew wings of flame, and dawned an armor of fire, she took off to the sky, and began entangling with the dragon's thunder.
"It's time, you ready for this, Nogdra?" Grena, smirked, as she and her crew took to the battle like a fish in water. Nogdra replied with a powerful cry, and a chomp on a whelp, killing it instantly.
The others all eventually gathered themselves once more, having been temporarily overcome with the respect for Zeus & Hera's previous members… They had once stood before such a monster, and all with but a mere fraction of what they had with this massive army today.
Adventurers without the ability to fly mounted some of the wolves Shurry left behind, allowing them to step through the air.
Others simply flew, slicing and dicing all of the ones they could handle. However, no matter how hard they fought, or how many of them there were, the dragons severely outnumbered them. For some this was a worrying thought, for others, it was a welcome one.
For one level 7 in particular, she was like a raging tornado of blades, a storm of blades.
