Davina's POV
"Still alive, Your Highness?"
Aurora cooed playfully, resting her chin on the back of her hand, eyes glittering with ridicule as she looked straight at me.
"Aurora."
I hissed through clenched teeth, fingers tightening around the dagger at my hip. At the same time, my eyes flicked subtly around the throne hall, searching for any signs of hidden guards.
"Relax. It's just the two of us here."
Seeing my guarded stance, Aurora let out a giggle, her face radiant with delight as she savored the sight of her prey squirming in the mire.
I didn't loosen my guard. Her words were little more than barbed fluff, and I kept my calm facade firmly in place.
"Who are you, really?"
My voice came out cold, sharp. I suspected she might be another player trapped in this twisted world.
If she was, I needed to know who she was and where she came from, to figure out how to deal with her.
Aurora burst into shrill laughter, the sound echoing unpleasantly through the grand hall.
