First of all, I had no obligation nor any responsibility to do that.
Secondly, he still hadn't given me what I came here for.
A system window flickered before my eyes, announcing a new quest. Of course, the kind that would compel me to free Rorden from the shackles of human bones.
The reward? Nothing but affection points. Numbers that once thrilled me now felt cold, distant, and utterly meaningless.
I ignored the system, locking my full attention on Rorden and the twisted maze that was his storyline.
"I'm not interested in learning about your past." I said, raising a hand to grasp the gun barrel now brushing beneath my chin. "Where is the antidote for Lethis Bloom?"
"Ah. I forgot."
With infuriating calm, Rorden removed the gun from my reach and tapped it lightly against his temple, a wicked curve to his lips.
"It's all right here."
Damn it. He was toying with me again.
