Rebel Queen

: Born Unlucky

---

Scene 1: SHUYI's Room – 5:12 AM

Before the sun rises, SHUYI is already awake.

No alarm. No noise. Just her and silence — always silence.

She brushes her hair back, ties it roughly, slips into black clothes, and opens her laptop. The blue light reflects off her tired but sharp eyes.

Balance: ₩5.8 billion.

Her trades were successful overnight.

But there's no smile on her face.

---

Scene 2: Flashback – Age 7

A little girl — SHUYI — standing outside the school gates. Every other child is being hugged, cheered, or picked up.

She waits.

Waits.

No one comes.

That night, her parents scold her for not getting a top rank in class. Even though she came second.

Her mother's voice echoes:

> "You're not special. Don't expect the world to hand you warmth."

---

Scene 3: Present Day – Back in Her Room

SHUYI scribbles into her black diary.

> "I was not born unlucky. I was born forgotten."

> "I was not born to break. I was made to survive."

She flips to the next page.

> "People wait for love. I stopped waiting when I was ten."

She tapes a photo to the page — a childhood ID picture with a sad expression.

Under it, she writes:

"This girl is dead. I buried her myself."

---

Scene 4: At School – Morning Assembly

The principal announces a student achievement award. Everyone claps as Minji's name is called.

Minji walks to the stage — glowing, smiling, hugged by her proud family standing nearby.

SHUYI watches from the shadows.

No one claps for her. No one even looks.

She claps once, slowly — sarcastically.

SHUYI (to herself):

"Born into applause? Congratulations. I was born into a battlefield."

---

Scene 5: Class Time – A New Teacher Arrives

Mr. Baek, a young idealistic teacher, steps in.

"Good morning! I believe every student has potential!"

SHUYI raises a brow. Looks down at her notebook.

Mr. Baek:

"Let's do introductions! SHUYI, would you start?"

SHUYI (without looking up):

"I'm Kim SHUYI. No hobbies. No dreams. No friends. I'm allergic to nonsense, so talk to me only if you have a brain."

Mr. Baek (awkwardly):

"Well, every personality is welcome."

SHUYI:

"No, it's not. Some personalities need therapy, sir."

The class chuckles nervously.

---

Scene 6: Later That Day – Library

SHUYI sits in her corner. Alone. A stack of economic journals beside her.

Minji walks by, whispering to her friend:

> "She's so weird. Always alone. Doesn't she get bored of acting superior?"

SHUYI speaks loudly without looking up:

SHUYI:

"If I wanted to hear mosquito gossip, I'd open a window."

Gasps. Minji scowls. Her friend tugs her away.

SHUYI smirks, turns the page.

---

Scene 7: Night – SHUYI's Home

She enters. Her parents are dressed up, leaving for a gala.

Her mom stops.

Mom:

"There's leftover rice if you want. Don't open the front door for anyone. Don't make us look bad if someone visits."

SHUYI says nothing.

Her father adds:

Dad:

"And for once, fix your attitude. You'll scare people away your whole life."

The door shuts behind them.

SHUYI stares at the silence.

SHUYI (murmuring):

"Born unlucky isn't about fate. It's about having people who leave before you even speak."

---

Scene 8: Late Night – Computer Screen Glows

She gets a message.

> Encrypted Broker Chat:

"Congratulations. You're the youngest anonymous crypto investor to cross ₩6 billion."

She closes the tab.

Opens a file named:

"Escape Blueprint – Age 18."

Inside are plans.

– Buy a studio in Tokyo.

– Get CEO license under alias.

– Disappear before graduation.

SHUYI (quietly):

"I wasn't born for this city. I was forged in it. But I'll leave it behind."

---

Scene 9: Final Moment – Alone Again

She lies on her bed.

The only light comes from the moon and her phone.

She opens her own childhood photo again.

SHUYI (softly):

"Don't worry, little one. We'll escape soon. I didn't forget you. I just had to kill the softness to survive."

A single tear escapes, but she wipes it away before it finishes falling.

---

Ending Caption:

> Some are born with hands to hold.

Others learn to fight with empty fists.

> She was born unlucky…

And made that her crown.
