Naruto was currently sitting near training ground after training with weights ( and idea to inspired by bushi brows ) and Shadow clones to maximize the training efforts.
He had started with tree walking and water walking but his current chakra control was much much better than past . All it took two or three tries to complete the training so he moved on to weight training to start building his physical strength.
Tommorow was going to be bell test that he needed to prepare about . He currently has no idea how to convince them to do teamwork again after Kakashi sensei put those two teammates success conditions. Best way for him was to let things play as they played first time around. It was better that way for his teammates would also learn the second lesson Kakashi sensei taught them .
This definitely was going to need an lesson on not abandoning the teammates especially for thick skull of certain Raven-haired friend of his. But that was for later and he also needed to show that he was skilled not some dead last loser. It was matter of pride between rival and this test was his way of showing that he was strong enough to be his rival . Which was not the way currently he thought about Naruto , so training and his skills will help him accomplish that .
He also had knowledge of some more jutsu that he had learnt his time as Hokage he even though he currently didn't had those other chakra nature but he could still use normal jutsu that will not require him different elements and their still his personal wind release element that he was born and all the ones he taught to Boruto.
Genjutsu was not his speciality but he was good enough to not fall under any genjutsu of normal nature . All in all he was good in skills department but physical requirements were still lacking and still will take time . He could try to relearn Rasengan but that will bring to much attention if he suddenly learnt one high ranking jutsu after another ( considering he didn't inherited his father brains but he was genius in his own right. )
His mind was that of S-class Shinobi ( there was not any higher ranking ) but his body still had much catching up to do . Today he have started the training regime for physical improvement which will give sufficient results and put Naruto high above chunin level by the time of chunin exams.
He could try using sage mode but it's better to learn from Grandpa toad sage directly then risking turning into stone . There is still matter of forming contract with Mt.Myōboku. He could also form contract with Mount Huaguo too . After all Monkey king enma was not any Pushover when it came to summons .
His strength was for one-on-one battles not overwhelming enemy with size like Chief Gamabunta that was great in fight against enemy in large numbers . Having Monkey king as his summon would also help in not raising suspicion on how he was getting stronger that easily suddenly if Kakashi was not behind it . So, that was just another plus one for him as well the help he would give in his upcoming battles against Zabuza or Orochimaru in forest of death.
He wouldn't be getting Toad contract scroll till Ero-sennin came back to konoha after the first two half of chunin exams are done . Signing summoning contract with Mount Huaguo was the most logical thing to do for him .
He picked himself up as he saw that soon Sun is going to set and decided to go home. He looked at the cold eyes of people that were towards him as he walked towards his apartment. He really no longer was that greatly loved Hokage or hero that saved the Village from Nagato invasion. He was not going to let that invasion happen at all even if it meant was going work extra hard this time to that beloved Hokage again.
Gaara didn't need some invasion to get past his people hatred neither did Old bee . They both did it by themselves. He could say he was lucky in most unlucky way possible to get that chance that changed people of him from Fox brat to hero of Village.
" You know !! I didn't care much last time around because my hate for entire humanity but these people were really two faced assholes . I don't really get why you have that much care for this shitty village . Fuck them !! Who care what they think . " Kurama grumbled back to his head . He woke up after sensing sudden swift emotions and sadness came with to him .
' You know full well that ,It's not their fault. They simply didn't have full story . This blame can be mostly contributed to Danzo and shit he did .' Naruto tried to defend the Village he was going to be Hokage . But Old Fox grumbled some something along with line of stupid kid with to much of kind heart and started to act as if he was ignoring him .
Naruto simply sighed walked inside his apartment. Lonely & empty place, nothing like sweet home he built with Hinata . He really missed Sweet little Himawari waiting for him . He definitely going to spoil her greatly along with Boruto before Kakashi sensei term this time around completes .
He looked towards his cloths that were dirty from training and decided to take bath . An hot bath will definitely would help him greatly by taking his mind off from his lonely life .
After taking an hot bath Naruto sat down near his table on ground with leg crossed . He really had nothing to do other then think for future and how he was going to get summoning scroll from Grandpa Hokage. He really can't simply go and asked him to give him a C- rank jutsu. Especially when he didn't even started his Ninja career fully .
He needed a way and started to think really hard to find the solution to his problem. Let's see , he could go along with Konohamaru to learn it , Nahh!! That will not work as Ebisu will be big problem. Maybe sexy jutsu ? Ehh it will not work after all Old man hokage will have to summon the scroll himself for him form contract.
Then an idea came to his mind that will be perfect for this situation , he was going to what once Boruto did to him as little kid to learn elemental jutsu's . It was time for good old emotional blackmail and Kakashi sensei had already gave him enough material for this emotional blackmail.
This 66% failure rate lie of his sensei is going to help greatly and he can sprinkle little facts of that nobody in village is going to help him in this case other then him and he definitely didn't wanted to go back to academy again and needed to impression Kakashi sensei. He is going to visit him tomorrow before leaving for training ground meet with others . Considering that Kakashi sensei is going to be late and it will give enough time of it. If Kakashi sensei is going to be three hours late again then it will be little is not going to be any problem.
If Sakura-chan or Sasuke asked then he can simply say that he was gathering information on their new Jonin sensei considering he didn't tell them anything other than his name.
He stood up from his table and went to kitchen and started to prepare dinner for himself. He decided to make Curry rice for tonight dinner. He was currently washing the rice when looked at dirty rice water going in vortex shape in sink that reminded him of Rasengan.
He really should try to make Rasengan and see if he and least use his signature jutsu. After eating his dinner, Naruto went to his training room. He started to gather chakra in his hand and went towards next step of jutsu. A small ball of chakra vortex appeared on his hand and it slowly started to get bigger and bigger.
Now there was a proper Rasengan in his hand . A smile of satisfaction appeared on his face as he looked at swirling vortex of chakra in his hand . The jutsu that his father created , one that had become his signature move alongside with shadow clone.
He dissolved the Rasengan and went outside to his bed to sleep . He was happy to have Rasengan back into his arsenal once again. He went to sleep with satisfaction in his heart with looking forward toward Tommorow .
With Kakashi:-
Kakashi was currently in standing at the training ground that Naruto trained and thought about what he had observed about him . Out of all his students, he was really concerned with Naruto , unlike other two Naruto had worse chakra control , his grade were entirely absent and the method he had passed exam definitely something he was not happy with .
Naruto was decivied by Mizuki and could have been killed if Iruka had not arrived on time. What were those Anbu even doing by not handling the situation . He was going have them fully removed from Naruto if are not going to be usefull at all . He could blame that man Danzo for it , he would not expect anything else from that man. He would tried to use this incident to use against lord third and try to take control of Naruto .
It was relief that Naruto was able to save himself and Iruka through using Multi shadow clone technique and it proved that Naruto is not going to lose control and considered himself proud Shinobi of Konoha.
Still learning and S-rank jutsu in single day was impressive and showed Naruto great potential as Shinobi. He decided to keep watch on Naruto for today just to see that what he does after watching the changes Lord third that he had mentioned to his apartment.
It caught his interest so ,he wanted to see what Naruto current daily routine was that differed from his previous one . Kakashi had kept watch on Naruto during his Anbu days and Knew that kid was and hardworker . He didn't wanted other to see it so trained when nobody was around but he worked very hard and not giving up on even if kept failing.
Naruto had been emotional kid from the start and observent too . He had paid attention to other secretly to learn something for himself considering he had nobody to properly to teach him at home . It did get him in trouble when he got caught for Naruto was not loved by village and him spying other ninja training had of often came at price receiving insult from them. Kakashi often interfered to if some ninja dared to even thought he could try to raise his hand against Naruto .
Naruto had never let those insults let be down for much and always tried to pickup what he could from where could get . He didn't inherited the genius of his teacher Minato but that didn't meant potential was not there. The willingness to learn was even more evident despite the difficulties.
Learning Multi Shadow clone jutsu in single day have proved it that he was going to be great Shinobi with right amount of motivation and teaching. But that was only him showing his potential not properly utilizing it.
Iruka's acknowledgement of Naruto definitely brought great change that he could tell from his house being properly clean and him trying do better in his life overall . He saw Naruto leave into opposite direction of his house and decided to follow to see what hardwork he will be watching from this changing Naruto.
Well he was not definitely not expecting what he saw now . Learning tree walking and water walking in span of single afternoon was the most impressive thing he had seen and especially when Naruto did it with help of shadow clones . He knew that Shadow clones transfer information and experience back to original caster after dispeling but using this to training was not something people did in ninja world .
It was pretty taxing technique that divided a person chakra . Fact that Naruto could actively make this many clone and use it in training showed that he had made great progress and lucked out when learning the jutsu . This jutsu could only be using for training in entirety of Konoha by Naruto. Still handing the exhaustion that came with it also showed that kid knew full well it was going to happen as well to and did took it as surprise .
It seems bottom student might be the first one surpass him among the other three. But him learning these two things by himself also showed different things to kakashi was that Naruto was least of likely of his students to put his trust into other teammates out fear of rejection he got from village. He had gone learning these two things without other people only after observing other teams meant he was fearful of not being taught by Kakashi . Maybe learning him being Jinchūriki of nine tails was a part of it .
After all in Naruto eyes he was not Iruka just another ninja that might view him as cursed Fox child and Sakura girl telling she hated Naruto was not really helping either . It was delicate situation with him , he was still the first person to reach toward fact they might need working together to achieve success against.
Maybe Kakashi was simply thinking to much in this situation, but still felt sad to see that Naruto will go as far as stealing scared scroll to being ninja. It was cruel world awaiting them outside and they were not ready for it. Two already knew cruelty of world in their own and third one will soon realise that of world but before that he is going to make sure they can what little innocence they had left to them intact.
It his duty to prepare them for the cruel of Shinobi at same time protecting that innocent bond they will have as friend . He couldn't let them fall into pit he himself have fallen that led to his friends death as he his hand on his one covered eye . He sighed and thought ' I hope you can guide me Obito . It's going to be difficult road for this new team of mine '.
