Chapter 103 - Chapter 103: Future Plans

After a quick once-over of her overall appearance, Firefly naturally moved on to examining the finer details.

Of course, don't get the wrong idea—she was referring to her height!

Anyone seeing Firefly for the first time would immediately think she was very young or petite, but that wasn't entirely accurate. She was actually quite tall, standing at around 167-168 centimeters.

While not exceptionally tall, she was at least on par with Robin's height, perhaps even slightly taller.

In truth, Firefly had grown accustomed to viewing the world from this height. Aside from having to tilt her head back during conversations and occasionally stand on tiptoe to reach things on higher shelves, everything else was perfectly fine.

Then, Firefly's gaze gradually drifted downward, settling naturally on her chest.

Hmm... To put it plainly, they were quite large. Compared to Robin's figure, she could distinctly feel the added weight on her shoulders.

In Honkai: Star Rail, Firefly belonged to the "young girl" body type, like March 7th and Asta. Among characters of the same body type, she was undoubtedly one of the most well-endowed.

Her gaze drifted downward, settling on the area between the hem of her skirt and the top of her over-the-knee socks. Without hesitation, Firefly calmly reached down and pinched her thigh.

Hmm, pleasantly plump! Feels great!

Of course, this wasn't to say she was overweight. Rather, Robin's legs were simply too slender, likely due to her career as a singer, which required her to maintain a slim figure. By comparison, Firefly's physique was that of a typical young girl—neither too thin nor too heavy.

It was a pity her V-shaped over-the-knee socks weren't more revealing. Had they been regular over-the-knee socks, pulled up a bit higher, they might have created a subtle, flattering indentation on her thighs.

As for her weight, there was no doubt she weighed slightly more than Robin, but not by much.

After this brief assessment of her current body, Firefly skipped even a shower and headed straight to the bedroom to sleep.

After all, she was still running on fumes from staying up all night. Now that the excitement of piloting the mech had subsided, an overwhelming drowsiness washed over her.

-

In the Dragon Nation, it was already five in the morning. Robin, still in her pajamas, sat hunched over her computer desk, repeatedly banging her head against the surface. Several times, she actually collided with the desk, leaving a faint red mark on her forehead. The pair of wings behind her ears drooped listlessly, utterly drained of energy.

After Firefly finished her tasks, both bodies simultaneously slipped into bed and sank into a deep, restorative sleep within seconds. Their efficiency was truly remarkable.

As time passed, perhaps due to the System's "Perfect Multitasking" ability, which had significantly enhanced Firefly's mental fortitude, she woke naturally after only four and a half hours of sleep. Not a trace of drowsiness remained; she felt fully refreshed and ready to go, as if she had instantly resurrected at full strength!

Back in the Dragon Nation, it was only 9:30 AM. For Robin, it felt like she had simply indulged in a slightly longer lie-in, waking up a bit later than usual, but without affecting her workday. After a quick wash, she contacted Chu Xingyu to resume preparations for her second concert.

Firefly woke up in this body to find it was 3:00 AM, and she wasn't even remotely sleepy. She was starting to feel the strain.

"Ugh... Controlling multiple bodies simultaneously is bound to have its downsides," Firefly sighed wearily. With nothing else to do, she began planning her next move.

Should she have this body return directly to the Dragon Nation?

With the Superhuman Association's assistance, obtaining a long-term residency permit wouldn't be difficult.

But... what would she do after returning to the Dragon Nation?

Firefly glanced at the System.

Iron Cavalry (6.02%)

Six percent! Just days before she transformed into Robin, her progress had barely hovered around a fraction of a percent.

Perhaps she should postpone returning to the Dragon Nation and spend more time near Dimensional Rifts, hunting more monsters.

The European Union had Dimensional Rift Early Warning Devices. When a rift was about to open, all EU citizens would receive alerts on their phones, allowing them to evacuate the area. Firefly could turn this system to her advantage, deliberately heading to the predicted rift locations and waiting for her prey to come to her.

Another problem arose: if Firefly transformed into SAM and flew across the country, she would undoubtedly be attacked as an enemy combatant.

Firefly furrowed her brow in thought. She decided to approach the Dimensional Rift as Firefly, gambling that it was an Otherworld type. If it was, she could wait until she entered the rift before transforming into SAM and then speed through it.

But... the early warning device only provided a five-minute alert. If she didn't fly there as SAM, would she really make it in time?

Speaking of which, she had another concern: did Wesley suspect that she had been responsible for closing the previous Dimensional Rift?

Although the European Union official struck Firefly as rather dim and slow-witted, he was still a team captain and couldn't be completely clueless.

It was clear Wesley's squad hadn't closed the rift. By process of elimination, Firefly was the only possible culprit.

It wasn't like the Dimensional Rift had suddenly gone rogue, swallowing them out of boredom only to spit them out again, right?

As it turned out, Wesley didn't press Firefly for any details about the Dimensional Rift. The matter was simply brushed aside with surprising ease, leaving her genuinely perplexed by his behavior.

Just as Firefly was starting to worry about her next move, idly scrolling through her phone out of boredom, she stumbled upon a news article.

The article reported that a Dimensional Rift had appeared over the Pacific Ocean and stubbornly remained open, hanging in the sky.

Of course, Firefly thought. Dimensional Rifts don't just appear in populated areas. They're essentially random occurrences. I could start by searching for those in international waters—areas beyond any nation's jurisdiction. SAM can fly over the high seas without anyone bothering him, right?

With this idea in mind, Firefly immediately began filtering news articles using the keyword "sea." To her surprise, the results were plentiful.

Aside from the Pacific Rift she had just read about, Dimensional Rifts had been reported in the Atlantic, Indian, and Arctic Oceans, as well as near both the Antarctic and Arctic regions.
