Chapter 331 - Chapter 321 — Encounter

"Controlling spacetime primordials is way too difficult for the current me, luckily… even though the coordinates are a little off, it still worked."

Nagami activated the skill that let him traverse a multiverse using only his own power.

He also memorized the coordinates of the Honkai Impact 3rd world, meaning that next time he wouldn't need a traversal card to lock onto it.

Four figures appeared out of thin air, suspended a thousand meters above the ground.

Nagami let out a breath, unconsciously tightening his grip on the soft, delicate hand in his own.

In response came a faint tremor, like a startled kitten.

Seele lowered her head silently, stealing a glance at their joined hands.

Her pale cheeks glowed with an unshakable blush—so utterly enchanting.

But soon her attention was stolen by the breathtaking view before her.

Brilliant sunlight pierced the clouds, the blue sky dotted with drifting white. Towering mountains stretched endlessly, and a cool breeze brushed her skin with warmth.

It left Seele frozen in awe, her ocean-blue eyes welling with tears, vision blurring.

They had really… truly left the Quantum Sea!

C.C. reached out, gently ruffling Seele's soft short hair, then tenderly brushed the tears from the corners of her eyes.

"Don't worry. As long as big brother is here, I'll never let you face being alone again."

"Mm!" Seele looked up at the beautiful green-haired girl's refined features and bloomed into a radiant smile.

Even though Seele knew deep down this "pretty big sister" was really her Nagami-nii, C.C.'s flawless beauty made it impossible for the innocent Seele to think of her as male.

During the traversal, Kurumi had been forced out of Nagami's shadow space due to the strain of the spacetime jump.

She shot a flat look at C.C. flirting with the little girl, sighed helplessly, and turned her curiosity toward this new world.

Not that she was jealous… Well, maybe just a little.

But honestly, compared to Seele, she had far bigger headaches to deal with—like the countless alternate versions of herself across timelines.

Meanwhile, Nagami's expression stayed unreadable as he stared in a certain direction. That peculiar sensation again. The last time he'd felt this was with the Doctor.

Expected, yet surprising—confirmation!

Truth be told, having a "freeloader little sister" suddenly become himself left Nagami with some rather complicated feelings.

"Seele, Kurumi, come with me. We're going to find… a friend of mine in this world."

Nagami pushed his Alpha Stigma Eyes's analysis ability to maximum output, splitting it into ten threads: nine to parse the Herrscher powers and one to process Kurumi's time abilities, running them in the background.

That left him with no spare capacity to analyze anything else.

The parsed powers were also best left unused.

But it didn't matter—his Herrscher of the Void core still gave him access to space and reason abilities without restriction.

On Teyvat, nothing should be able to touch him.

If even Celestia tried to interfere—well, let them try.

Besides, no matter how occupied his powers were, basic flight was too fundamental to be hindered.

Right, Groudon~?

Mondstadt was only ten or so kilometers away—a matter of minutes at their speed. Already the city gates were visible. Nagami could also sense Lumine rushing toward him, that strange feeling growing stronger with every second.

"What a beautiful view!" Seele exclaimed, eyes sparkling as she took in the lush forest, little animals darting among the trees, and the morning breeze rustling the leaves in tranquil harmony.

"That city is called Mondstadt," Nagami explained. "Also known as the City of Freedom, the City of Song. Gorgeous scenery, but the gods here are… a bit special."

"Gods?" Seele's eyes widened with childlike curiosity. "Nagami-nii, does this world really have actual gods?"

To her, gods were beings of love, holiness, untouchable divinity.

Nagami's expression turned wry.

"Oh, they exist, all right. But they're… unique. The ones I know are: a lazy 'Ehe~' slacker, an old man who never carries money, and a shut-in programmer girl."

C.C. tugged Kurumi's hand as Kurumi blinked in disbelief, a giant question mark practically hovering above her head.

"Wait… you're seriously telling me those are gods?"

Her mental image of divinity shattered instantly.

"That's right. And soon enough, you'll meet Mondstadt's Archon yourself—Barbatos, the Anemo Archon."

To avoid drawing attention from the gate guards, the group landed well outside the entrance.

After all, while Liyue's adepti could fly without gliders, newcomers showing off flight would only invite suspicion. Better to stay low-key.

The four walked together, with Nagami and C.C. taking turns explaining Teyvat's basics to Seele and Kurumi.

But when they set foot on the stone bridge spanning Cider Lake, Nagami's gaze suddenly locked on the flock of pigeons in the middle.

Scanning the area, he found no children nearby.

He was just about to conjure a bow and shoot down a few pigeons when both he and C.C. froze, movements halting abruptly as they stared toward the city gate.

"Huh? What's wrong, Nagami-nii?" Seele whispered, noticing his sudden stop.

She followed his gaze.

At first, she saw nothing—but her enhanced Herrscher senses caught the sound of hurried footsteps approaching fast.

"Lumine! Lumine, why are you running so fast? Paimon… Paimon can't keep up—waaah!"

Her words cut off as Paimon crashed headfirst into Lumine's back.

The little mascot then performed her ultimate technique midair: clutching her head and crouching defensively.

Lumine stumbled forward a few steps, but she barely noticed the pain from Paimon's impact.

Her mind was consumed by the shock ringing in her head.

Her amber eyes met Nagami's pitch-black gaze—and she froze instantly.

Golden hair fluttered in the breeze, framing her snow-white neck and flawless skin.

Her pink lips parted slightly in surprise.

[Nagami]: Wow, she's such an airhead! No matter how you look at it, Lumine is hopelessly goofy. But… kinda cute, actually.

[Nagami]: Scared you, didn't I?

[Nagami]: And this Paimon… she looks plump and well-fed. I bet she'd taste pretty good.

[Nagami]: Whoa, wait—you mean you actually bit her before? Hold on, was that a kiss or were you really trying to eat her?

[Lumine]: …

[Lumine]: Another world… a counterpart?!!!

————————————————————————

Hearing that from inside Nagami's own inner thoughts, Lumine was completely dumbfounded.
