Knights from a nearby baronet’s domain had arrived at the Isles estate, claiming to be acting under her orders. Antonio had felt relieved at first, believing he was in safe hands. But that reassurance was short-lived. Their smooth journey came to an abrupt halt when imperial knights intercepted them on the plains of Arcadia.

Though there was no physical confrontation, Antonio had been confined to a carriage and taken straight to Cadis without ever learning why or even seeing the Prince who had summoned him.
