Lisa POV
I stood completely mute, looking at his worried face but I decided to not be like my sister and trust anybody.
My eyes scanned his tall, muscular physique with his brown hair and blue eyes.
He looked older than Julian and I guessed his age should be around 25 years.
I still maintained calm and sat down.
"What's going on Lyra? You're not saying anything? It's fine, I totally understand that you're in shock but don't worry I will take good care of you from now on" Harrison said, holding my hands tightly.
I wondered what kind of relationship my sister really had with Harrison but I decided not to pay much attention and jump into conclusions.
He looked really concerned about Lyra but the look he had in his eyes seemed more than platonic friendship.
"Pack your things, you're not staying with this monster anymore. I should have done this a long time ago and I'm sorry" he said as he stood up trying to pack my clothes.
"No! Stop! I can't" I stopped him.
"What? What do you mean? Do you want them to kill you before you see reasons to leave this place?" he asked.
"You are more like a sister to me than being my brother's wife. And I will not stay here and see you get hurt again. So please just listen to me" he said as turned to continue packing my stuff.
"Please Harrison, wait! I can't go just like that. I mean, not after what they put me through" I said.
"What are you saying?" he asked, looking confused.
"What I am saying is, I am not that weak Lyra you once knew. The old Lyra died from that cliff that day and a new one is standing before you. I will pay those people for what they did to me".
I continued, "Don't worry about me, I will be fine".
"No, I can't.." I cut him off.
"Please, I want to do this. If I need your help, I will definitely call you" I said in a low voice.
"Fine. But if you get hurt, I will come and take you out of here myself" he said.
"Okay" I replied.
I sat down and asked, trying to maintain composure without getting noticed, "Harrison, can you tell me what happened that day of my accident?"
I added, "I can't seem to remember anything, I guess I hit my head really hard".
Julian sat beside me, "I just knew there was no way for you to take your life. When I heard the news I couldn't believe it. I knew there was more to it and to top it all the sucide note you left behind".
"Sucide note?" I asked confused and worried.
Suddenly, I remembered hearing about the suicidal note in the news but I was clouded with my emotions and pain from the news and didn't pay attention to it.
I asked, "What did I write inside the sucide note? Do you have a copy of it? ''.
Julian replied, "What did you write? That is not your handwriting! I can't remember what was in there but I think a copy should be with Julian".
He continued, " I asked for a copy of it but they declined because I am not your husband so I'm very sure Julian has a copy of it".
"Why are you asking me all this question?" Julian asked with curiosity etched on his face.
"Do you think someone planned to kill you and disguised it as sucide?" He asked.
I replied, trying to act normal, " I can't say for sure. I'm just curious about that day. Can you tell me what really happened that day, who I met and visited?"
"Sure, if that will help you with your memory I will gladly do it" Harrison said with a smile on his face.
He continued, "You were at home all through the day and I called you in the evening to come watch a movie with me. You got dressed and met me at the gate, then we were about to enter my car when you received a call and you sounded worried and urgent like something had happened".
He continued, "I tried asking you…" he got interrupted by a knock on the door.
I was eager to finish the story but the knock on the door grew louder.
I stood up and reached for the door and saw a maid outside.
"Good evening ma, dinner is served. Julian is waiting for you downstairs" she said.
"Okay, I'm coming" I said as I closed the door.
Harrison stood up and said, "We should get going now".
I felt bad and wanted to hear more but I didn't want to push further so I just followed Harrison downstairs.
As we got to the dining table, I saw two young reporters at the dining table who held cameras and videoed us.
I was confused but thought of it as a good chance to stir things up and expose Julian's real face to the public.
One of the reporters signaled me to act along like a happy family they thought we were.
I took my seat beside Julian and I noticed Georgina and Evelyn's gaze were focused on me but I did not flinch a bit.
I decided to stir up the dinner table a little.
I turned to face Julian and said, "My darling husband, you could not wait for me to rest in peace before you plan to take over all my shares and company".
Julian paused for a moment and stared right back at me, his eyeballs wide open in shock.
I continued, "Honey, please close your mouth to avoid flies".
Julian gave a fake smile trying to remain calm and not lose his cool in front of the reporters and on live tv.
"Baby, it's not like that. I just wanted to ensure the smooth running of our company to avoid it from falling but I'm happy you're here now" he said holding my hands.
I forcefully tried to smile too when I said, "Baby, what do you think should happen to men who are too cowardly to be real men, and instead hurt and hit their wives?".
