Chapter 18 - Chapter 18

"Take them to the medical areas, check their conditions, and report back to me," the woman ordered, guiding the people around her.

Thanks to the big mess we had made, too many people had come out of the other buildings and were now watching us from afar. Following the woman's words, people began to take us to a different area, along with the boys from this place.

"You two are in serious trouble for this," I heard the woman say, and when I looked back, I saw that she was talking to Victor and Alaric.

"I'm sorry, but they started it," I apologized internally.

A few hours later, with the sun already setting, they had completely searched us and ordered us to stay put until they decided where we would go. I had thought that we had easily won the fight that had broken out earlier, but after they took us to be treated, I saw that several of us had bruises. I even saw Oswin, who had broken his hand fighting.

"You don't seem too worried," I heard from behind me, and when I turned around, I saw Anna smiling at me.

I thought so too, even though it was the first time I had seen someone with a broken body part who was still alive, I couldn't help but have the image stuck in my head. Oswin, on the other hand, didn't seem too bothered.

"Those guys hit hard," said a boy from behind, who was lifting his clothes and showing a large bruise on his side.

"Don't tell me, someone kicked me in the leg and I can't even stand up," replied another, sitting on the floor while massaging his leg.

Listening to them, I remembered the guys I had faced, which made the red areas of my body start to burn from the friction with the wooden sword that the green-haired girl had made for me.

"Speaking of green hair, where's Della?" I thought, looking around.

As if she had heard my thoughts, Della appeared beside me, smiling at me.

"Were you looking for me, Conan?"

"Yes, I hadn't seen you during the whole fight."

As I spoke to her, I saw out of the corner of my eye the students from this place coming out of other buildings, some with bandages and others with only patches on their faces. I saw the pig from a distance, giving him the finger when our eyes met.

In response, he also raised his finger while making faces at me. However, this stopped when someone else hit him on the head.

"Hey, you guys, follow me. We'll assign you a place to sleep tonight," said a guy with several marks on his face.

We all started to follow him, going to a separate area from where we were. When we arrived, I saw something like small broken houses.

"This is where you will stay for now," said the man before turning around and leaving.

After the man left, I saw that several of those houses had broken roofs or barely any paint on them.

"They're better than I thought," said Jumyeong from behind us.

We all turned around after hearing him, unable to believe his words. It seems he's not seeing the same thing we are.

"Sects of this level don't usually accept so many students. I expected them to throw us aside, but giving us a place to stay after what we did is good news," said Jumyeong, sensing our stares. We started walking toward these houses and entered.

Although we were hesitant to enter, we decided to follow him inside, dividing ourselves into groups after finding out how many rooms there were. This wasn't difficult after spending so much time in groups.

The houses weren't as small as they looked from the outside, as they had a few large rooms that allowed more of us to enter than expected.

The problem was the beds; there weren't any.

"Stick together or you'll freeze to death," said Anna with a giggle as she leaned against a wall.

Following her instructions, I leaned against a wall and began to fall asleep as I watched others do the same.

"Hey, wake up!"

Instantly, after hearing that shout, someone threw water in my face, which woke me up with a start.

When I was able to shake off my sleepiness, I saw that the one who had thrown the water at me was the pig from the previous time.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I yelled, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt.

"Stop!" someone said from the doorway.

Looking at the door, I saw that it was the same man with scars who had brought us here the night before. I stared at him before letting go of the pig and letting him go.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw that the others had already woken up and were now behind me, looking at the man.

"Since all of you have been accepted as students, you must start the day with the others," said the man, giving the pig a nod, at which point he ran off. "Since it's morning, everyone must go to the dining hall and have breakfast, and then receive uniforms to begin training."

"We have to eat with the other guys? What a pain." I heard someone say behind us, and several of us nodded in agreement.

After that, the man left, leaving us behind.

All of us who were inside went outside, surprised to see that the others were already outside. It seems we were the last to wake up...

"Come on, I'm hungry," said Ghislaine, yawning as she led the way.

It seems that yesterday affected us all. Not even after the hard days on the farm did we wake up feeling so tired.

------

When we arrived at the place they had indicated, we saw the guys from before, who also looked tired, and several of them still had bandages or patches on their bodies.

When we entered, they took us to a separate area. We sat down as several men entered, among whom we saw Victor and Alaric, who had some bruises on their faces.

"Looks like they took a beating," Della said, laughing at their faces.

Following them in was the woman from the day before, shaking her white hair with her hand as she entered.

"Vain," I heard the other girls on our side say, which made me laugh and drew attention.

The people on the other side didn't like that, because they all looked at me angrily. I didn't pay any attention and continued to watch the woman as she walked to a table above us.

I felt a little annoyed to see the woman sitting in a higher place, which made her literally look down on us. Standing up straight, the woman raised her voice and announced

"From now on, several new students will be joining us. I hope you will all get along together to raise the prestige of the Fallen Sun Sect!"

The moment seemed exaggerated to me, but it seemed even more so after everyone on the other side replied,

"Yes, ma'am!"

After that, the woman continued talking, but I didn't pay attention. I just turned around and looked at the others, who had the same look on their faces, indicating the same thing.

"This is going to be long."
