Chapter 1 - I want to retire!

"I want to retire."

Facing the table was a tan youth, with a cast cradling his right arm.

The man being Leon, 22 years old and the world's greatest special agent.

The very same man viewed as inhuman in the eyes of many others.

Responsible for stopping world wars, successfully accomplishing tasks deemed to be impossible.

The man whose has never lost a battle, the man who has never failed a mission.

Leon, the world's greatest agent.

Yet the very same man called inhuman by many is requesting retirement at the ripe age of 22.

"Yeah, screw that, rejected."

"Why the fuck not!"

And also having his request absolutely rejected.

The man sitting across from Leon rubbed his brows before asking.

"How many times will you ask? I've already said no so many times."

"Well screw you Charlie, I don't want to do this shit anymore."

Only Charlie knew what Leon's true nature was behind all his magnificent achievements, an immature brat.

Leon was a child Charlie found during wartimes and decided to take him, only to accidentally raise a monster.

"Leon... what's the issue." Charlie asked, leaning back. "You get paid millions, and you're also very young, so why on earth are you trying to retire."

"You blind or something?! Look at my arm."

Charlie shifted his eyes towards Leon's right arm, indeed his arm was held within a cast.

"What about it, injuries are normal in this line of work."

'It's weirder that this is his first injury.' Charlie silently thought to himself.

Thump

Leon struck the table with his left arm.

"This isn't normal!" Leon yelled. "Who the hell gets run over a by a truck, not once, not twice but four fucking times!"

He continued. "I wasn't even on a mission!"

"Well... I guess that's a bit strange." Charlie admitted.

Over the last two months, Leon been run over by a truck four times.

Once while walking the street, second while inside a café, third while buying groceries, fourth while in a swimming pool.

How that even happen? No clue.

If there was something related to it, it'd be Leon was on his phone.

"It's because of that damn phone." Charlie nodded to himself.

"Oh fuck off!" Leon sulked. "Every time I try reading this stupid web novel, some bullshit happens and stops me from having a good read."

Another fact about Leon, he is a total nerd, despite his overwhelming physical accomplishments.

He is incredibly lazy and loves to spend time reading and watching all sorts of entertainments, be it movies, shows, manga, novels, web novels, he does it all.

"I only read like 50 chapters!"

"Well, you ever thought that web novel might be cursed or something?"

"Yes! That's why I want to read it all the more!" Leon exclaimed.

"Haah." Charlie sighed, rubbing his forehead. "I'll allow for an extended leave, say a year, how about that."

"Hmph, it's not like I expected anything." Despite saying that, the corners of Leon's mouth rose.

"The hell is wrong with you, you're a grown ass man acting like a—"

"Well I'm out!" Leon interrupted him before he could finish and dashed away. "Thanks for the vacation!"

Watching his departing back, Charlie let out a helpless sigh.

"When's he going to grow up..."

***

Leon climbed a flight of stairs, eventually taking him out of the basement he was previously in.

"Oh Leon?"

A man's voice greeted him from his side.

"Oh sup, how's the business running."

"Eh, not bad, not good, what can I say."

"Well, I suck at comforting." With that remark, Leon walked past the man. "Get me a lemonade, though, will ya."

"Aye aye."

Leon kept walking, through the hallways, through the kitchens, then finally at the front counter.

He silently took in the surrounding atmosphere, a peaceful calm with silent chatters and sound of cutleries.

A base for the special operations was inside a restaurant, quite a relaxing one at that too.

As he was standing there, he heard footsteps approaching him.

"Here you buddy." The same man from before, as well as the restaurants' owner.

"Don't talk to me like I'm a child." Leon grumbled before taking the lemonade with a wide grin.

"Yes, yes."

"Well, I'm out, see ya."

With a smile, Leon left the restaurant, still holding his lemonade with his left hand.

"Hmm, hmm, hmm, what should I do today." Leon looked down at his pocket. "Maybe I should read that web novel again?"

Leon looked at his left hand holding his lemonade and then his right hand inside a cast.

"Hmm, how to hold my phone?"

And so he did the most normal thing.

RIIIPP

Tear his right hand out of the cast.

Don't ask, this guy is just weird.

Taking out his phone, Leon loaded up his app to look at the novel.

[World of Azeris]

A web novel Leon had been determined to read recently, the novel itself seems interesting to him.

A world separated by four different continents, the north, east, west and south the demons' continent.

The abyss and abyssal creatures, blah blah blah.

Long story short, Leon just digged it, but for whatever reason, things happens every time he tries reading it.

"Alright, this time for sure."

Leon took a sip of his lemonade and opened the chapter.

Almost immediately...

BEEP

A loud sound of a horn interrupted his concentration.

"Oh for fucksa—"

The truck struck full force into Alan, propelling him across the air and through the glass of a nearby shop.

Ignoring the sharp pain on his back, Leon slowly stood up again with a look of pure anger.

"You fucking piece of shit!" Leon shouted.

"Hey you alright...?" A man tried helping him, but Leon brushed him off.

"Every time I try reading, why the fuck do you keep coming for me!"

Yelling nonsense, Leon approached the truck and swung his fist.

Crack

Leaving a deep dent into the truck.

Everyone surrounding him immediately froze, even the truck driver, who already looked confused, became petrified.

Then they realised something, Leon didn't have a serious injury even though he was hit by a full truck, more than enough that he was fine enough to punch holes into the vehicle.

The driver immediately jumped out. "A-are you okay?"

"Shut up!" Leon barked and pulled out his cracked phone. "I'm reading that shit whether you like it or not!"

"Hey... I am not trying to stop you from reading... you just got hit by—"

"Shut up!" Leon cut him off. "Even the fucking gods can't kill me, so who the hell is going to stop me from reading this!"

"What are you tal—"

"AAAAA!" With a loud yell, he furiously tapped on his phone screen.

How someone like this is the world's greatest special agent? I don't know, he probably got some mental issues.

Everyone surrounding him was deeply and utterly dumbfounded by this scene, even worse for the truck driver who just awkwardly moved his hand trying to do something.

And finally the chapter loaded.

"Yes! Hahaha." He laughed for no reason. "Who the fuck is going to stop me!"

No sooner than he started speaking, the people surrounding him started yelling and frantically running away.

"Uh..." Leon awkwardly looked around. "I wasn't that bad though..."

Then he looked at the truck driver.

"Hey man, it's alri—"

But he stopped speaking because the truck driver wasn't looking at him, but instead looking at the sky with a horrified expression.

Leon immediately felt uneasy and started looking up.

"Please don't be..."

An entire fucking plane was crashing down straight at Leon.

"Oh fuc—"

But he never finished his words.

CRAASHHH

Because the entire airplane crashed into Leon.

At age 22, the world's greatest special agent, Leon, passed away.

Cause of death, where do I even start.
