"Yo, how's everything going?" Kai asked, dusting off the dirt on his pants and shirt.
Nadya and Gwen hugged Kai as he approached them, glad to see that he was fine, even though they knew he would be.
"We finished our battle here. Nothing that interesting happened either. What about you?" Gwen asked
"Well, that Carlito guy was pretty weird. He was using this dark magic mumbo jumbo against me. Of course, it didn't work; I'm just that great." Kai rubbed his nose with pride.
"That wave of mana we felt a bit ago," Selena walked over to Kai, desperate for answers. "Was that you?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"J-Just how powerful are you?"
"As powerful as I need to be." He responded. It wasn't a lie either. Sure, he was overpowered, but after fighting the demon king and that sea serpent, he was literally as powerful as he needed to be in order to kill them. Maybe a bit stronger, but there's nothing wrong with that.
