It was no surprise that everyone would be shocked by the outcome of the little duel between Kai and Galen. Since Kai was said to be a tier-10 corcerer, they expected Galen to lose, but for him to lose in one hit before he could even understand what happened to him was insane.
Aleah cursed in her head, knowing that she now had no chance of getting the blue tower under her control. In her eyes, she just wasted a good phoenix egg for no reason. But at least that was all she lost, unlike Galen.
Tharn, too, was glad that he wasn't the one who stepped up to make demands. Sure, he was upset that he couldn't get his hands on Kai or his girls, but that was far better than being humiliated in front of a lot of the kingdom's nobles.
Galen's reputation, as well as the reputation of the White Magic Tower, will definitely take a hit after this. At least it won't be as big as it would have been since Kai was stronger than him. If Kai were weaker, then that would have been horrible for Galen.
