Enrolling the Abyss

It was a darkness considered primordial. Before anything existed, before life itself sprouted, a deep dark blanketed the entire universe. In the absence of light, it lurked and dampened the bright stars themselves. It was no intangible phenomena, and it certainly was a creature. An otherworldly being, unbelonging anywhere, and surely would never find a place it could call home. Yet, that all-encroaching, fear-inducing, pitch black-- is now a student in a dimensional academy, with amnesia to boot. The reborn beast, now in the form of a young man, was given the name Crescent. Either mistakenly or purposefully chosen, he now struggles in an unfamiliar place filled with talents across the universe. And for some reason, the academy's focus is to expunge a primordial darkness which endlessly sprawls forth an army... one which Crescent may be connected to.
