Chapter 5 - CHAPTER FIVE: The Factory of Fallen Echoes

VENESSA: Who are you?

GEDEON: I am Gedeon, an angel. And I have come to tell you that it is not the time for you to meet your brothers. They need to discover themselves and know what they must do.

VENESSA: But they're going to die if they keep searching for our mom.

GEDEON: How did you know this? What are you talking about?

VENESSA: I saw it. I saw them die at the factory.

GEDEON: …You are the one. You are the one GOD has sent to help them. You are the Jade. You are the light.

VENESSA: What are you talking about? The Jade? What does that mean? Never mind—we need to go help them. If we don't, they will die tonight. They're going to the factory, and they'll be overpowered there. They'll be killed.

Meanwhile, Alexander and Jason were already getting ready. They reached the factory and began searching for any place that showed signs of demons. As they turned a corner, they saw a demon fly by and enter through a wall.

Without hesitation, they followed—and as they stepped through, it was like crossing into another world. It looked like their own, but darker… more twisted. The air was thick. Heavy. The moment they stepped in, the demons felt them. They began rushing in, growling, snarling, eyes glowing.

Alexander and Jason opened fire—but nothing worked.

The bullets slowed them down, yes. But it couldn't kill them. It was hopeless. The demons kept coming.

Just when they thought it was over—a blood-like arrow shot through the air, piercing the demon that was about to kill Alexander.

It turned to ash.

Then a beam of light crashed down from above—and from it, descended Gedeon with his brilliant angelic wings and Venessa, holding a glowing bow made of living blood.

Jason and Alexander's eyes lit up.

Their sister was alive.

Gedeon was alive.

Gedeon flew forward, fighting off the demons—but in their realm, his power was weaker.

Jason and Alexander ran toward Venessa, even as they reloaded their weapons.

ALEXANDER: Venessa?! How did you find us? How are you even here?

JASON: What is that thing you're using? Is that a bow made from your own blood?!

VENESSA: I'll explain everything if we survive this place. But first—did you guys bring the briefcase? The one with the infinity symbol on it?

They both shook their heads.

VENESSA: You should have. The weapons in there are the only ones that can kill demons.

The brothers looked at each other, stunned.

VENESSA: How were you planning to get Mom back without them? Look—we don't have time. My blood can kill demons. Maybe if I put it on your guns, they'll actually work.

Without waiting, she cut her palm and let her blood drip onto their ammo.

Jason took aim at the nearest demon. Pulled the trigger. Boom. The demon died instantly.

Alexander followed, shooting at the horde to cover Gedeon.

The tide turned.

The demons started falling back.

As they created an opening, Gedeon gathered his power, threw his hands to the sky, and pulled them all out of the demon realm in a final burst of divine energy.

They landed in a forest clearing—safe, but shaken.

Gedeon collapsed to one knee.

JASON: I thought angels were supposed to be strong. Why are you so weak?

ALEXANDER: Jason, why would you say that?

GEDEON: It's fine, Alex. I wasn't always like this. Angels need to stay in heaven to keep our power strong.

JASON: Then how long have you been on Earth?

GEDEON: Over ten thousand years now.

ALEXANDER: What?! What have you been doing all this time?

VENESSA: He's been waiting—for you two. To guide you in this war. To help you defeat the demons.

ALEXANDER: Then you need to go back. We can take care of ourselves. We need you strong, not dying.

GEDEON: Not until you open that briefcase.

JASON: Why? What's in it?

VENESSA: Because those are the weapons you used in your past life. Axes and swords. Meant only for you.

ALEXANDER: And how do you know all this?

GEDEON: Because I told her everything.
