As Jason stood in the parking lot, still shaken by the flashes from his past life, he whispered to himself:
JASON (softly):
"I should still get him the coffee… maybe a snack too."
MEANWHILE…
Venessa had checked into a motel to rest and clear her head. But the moment she laid down, her eyes closed, and her vision blurred.
She saw her brothers.
She saw the hotel they were hiding in.
She saw demons—waiting.
She jolted awake.
VENESSA:
"I know where they are."
She moved fast, following her vision to the hotel, but when she got there… her brothers were gone.
She searched the building floor by floor, heart racing.
But then—she wasn't alone anymore.
Two men walked in, quiet and casual. But their eyes weren't human. Their presence was wrong.
VENESSA:
"Who are you?"
They smiled.
And in an instant—they attacked.
Venessa dodged the first strike, grabbed a chair, and swung hard.
The chair exploded on contact. One of the demons staggered.
The other lunged with claws extended. She rolled to the side, breathing hard.
VENESSA (thinking):
I'm not strong enough. I'm not fast enough…
She backed into a corner, blood dripping from a cut on her arm.
The demon reached forward—
But something changed.
Her blood… began to glow.
It lifted from her skin. Hardened. Took shape in the air—into a knife made of living crimson.
Without thinking, she grabbed it and stabbed the demon in the chest.
It shrieked.
Then turned to ash.
The second demon stared wide-eyed—then bolted, crashing through the window and disappearing into the night.
Just as the glass shattered, Jason and Alexander arrived—too late.
JASON:
"Venessa?!"
They ran into the building. Jason found blood on the ground and followed the trail down to the basement.
Nothing.
ALEXANDER:
"She was here. She was fighting…"
JASON:
"Then where is she now?"
ELSEWHERE…
Venessa opened her eyes in a dimly lit room.
She was no longer in the hotel.
A warm fire burned near her. Sitting across from her, calm and focused—Gedeon.
VENESSA:
"You…"
GEDEON:
"You were lucky I found you. If I hadn't stepped in… you wouldn't have survived that fight."
VENESSA:
"What is happening to me? What was that thing I created… that blade?"
GEDEON:
"That was your blood. God didn't send you without a gift."
VENESSA:
"A gift?"
GEDEON:
"You're the one. The Jade. The only one whose blood can truly kill demons. And you're having visions now too, aren't you?"
She nodded slowly.
VENESSA:
"I saw something else… I saw Jason and Alexander dying. At the factory."
GEDEON:
"Then we'll make sure that doesn't happen. But they can't face what's waiting there alone. They need you. You all need to awaken… completely."
