[Rosie's POV]
Arriving at the castle brings back memories. I've always seen it from afar, heard of it, longed to be in, but never have I been this close to it.
An awe wears me as the car we entered from the airport arrived in front of the palace.
I can see some elders flocking around the castle gate, peeking and looking as though they expected some news. Maybe whenever the alpha goes out and comes back, he always comes with unexpected visitors.
They chattered among themselves as their eyes were fixed on our car.
The sun cast a warm glow over the compound's entrance, where a group of elders gathered at the gate.
The air buzzed with excitement and uncertainty. Flowers and local symbols adorned the archway, a sign of welcome.
I sat beside him, he seemed nervous, darting his gaze to and fro. We've been silent ever since we dropped from that plane.
I smiled through the window as the elders straightened, eyes bright with anticipation as music played to welcome us.
