[Rosie's POV]
My world shattered like fragile glass, and my heart splintered into a million pieces.
I stood frozen, my ears ringing with the words I wish I hadn't heard.
Get
Rid
Of
Her.
It was low and casual, cutting me like a knife.
When Austin's laugh echoes, it's like a cruel mockery as Damien joins in.
Earlier, I had purposely waited, with the thought that he'd come after me, and we would banter with words.
But then, when I saw Austin coming out from the other end, opposite me, I crept to hide, intrigued to know what was between these two.
I just got to realize they were friends, shady ones, and my eyes burned at them.
Now, I feel dirty, discarded, and used. I won't be surprised if Damien knows Austin and me were once intimate and mates.
They're the same thing. I lost my breath as my blurry vision threatened to spill down tears.
I could see Austin bend slightly, his fingertip brushing his nose, and he suddenly faced my direction like he knew I was there.
