[Rosie's POV]
"I think we've heard enough. Guards, take the maid away. We'll investigate further."
My heart stopped racing for a while as a sense of relief flushed through me.
He wouldn't let them take me because...he trusted me?
I turned to look at him, and for a while I paused and I just wanted to keep looking at him.
Dayla's face fell as her eyes flashed with anger, but the alpha just waved his hand, dismissing her,
"Take the witness away and the Luna..."
Dayla didn't let him finish his words before she appeared with a small tablet, the screen glowed with a video recording as though she was prepared to see my downfall.
"I have one more piece of evidence, alpha," she said, her voice dripping with confidence.
Damien had to take his seat as he drew the screen closer to his face.
I stomped to where he was, eager to also see for myself, and then the video began to play.
