Feeling the strange shift in his body, Madara sneered. His hands blurred through seals.
"Impure World Reincarnation—Release!"
The soul that had been on the verge of leaving his body instantly snapped back into place.
Just like that, Uchiha Madara was free from Kabuto's control.
At the same time
Far across the mountain, the battlefield had turned apocalyptic. Gale-force winds roared, lightning tore through the clouds, and a tornado howled, ripping the sky open.
It was like a scene straight out of the doomsday movies Guts had watched in his previous life.
"That is…"
Guts narrowed his eyes slightly.
"That brat… He hasn't even captured the Nine Tails yet, and he still went through with it?"
Through his Rinnegan, Madara had already sensed Obito's reckless move.
High above, the moon itself seemed to respond, slowly swelling in size.
On another side of the battlefield, Shisui had just exited the cave after forcing Kabuto to release the Impure World Reincarnation.
The moment he looked up and saw the sky, a heavy premonition gripped his chest.
Without hesitation, he dashed toward the heart of the chaos.
Soon, the violent storm began to settle and then came an immense, suffocating Chakra, stretching endlessly, pressing down on the world like a mountain.
Madara's lips curled into a cold grin.
"Taijutsu brat… it looks like our battlefield is about to change."
He summoned his Susanoo once more, wings spreading wide, and shot toward the center of the battlefield.
"Humph."
Guts snorted and followed immediately.
Both of them knew exactly what this meant.
The Ten Tails had been summoned.
And this time unlike the original anime the Eight Tails had already been absorbed.
Its strength would be even more terrifying than in the anime.
Guts also knew one undeniable truth:
The only vessel that could revive Ōtsutsuki Kaguya was Six Paths Madara.
Even Six Paths Obito wouldn't be enough.
If he could kill Obito now, everything would become far simpler.
And if he could also eliminate the millennium curse of Black Zetsu, it would erase the threat entirely.
Suddenly, a massive crimson beam, nearly black at its core, swept across the battlefield with a deafening roar.
Even Madara's complete-body Susanoo didn't dare to take it head-on. His wings flared, forcing him to change course midair.
Guts, on the other hand, simply clenched his Haki-coated fist and punched the beam aside.
BOOM!!!
In an instant, the mountains and valleys behind them disintegrated into dust.
"He's wielding the Ten Tails power so recklessly… this chaotic output…" Madara muttered, clearly displeased.
He surged upward, landing atop the Ten Tails head after dispelling his Susanoo.
Even his full-body Susanoo seemed like a small bird compared to the colossal beast.
"You're far too impatient, Obito. Summoning the Ten Tails before its time…" Madara said coldly.
"Humph."
Obito, his mask now shattered, only let out a cold snort.
By then, Guts had arrived immediately drawing the attention of the Allied Shinobi Forces.
"Sensei!"
"Guts, you're finally here!"
"And the masked man… he's really Uchiha Obito!"
Hinata, Minato, and the others called out, while Might Guy stared at Obito in disbelief.
"Guts," Minato said, regaining his composure,
"Obito's ability lets him turn intangible for five minutes. After that, he can be hit. What about Madara?"
"The legendary shinobi with the Rinnegan has access to all its powers," Guts replied, his eyes locking on Madara's.
"But even so, I can handle him like this. Obito is yours... Minato, Kakashi. You two can deal with his space-time tricks."
Madara's lips twitched in amusement.
"Ohh… so you're aiming for me? This Impure World Reincarnation body can't show my full strength."
He wasn't one for empty boasts, but he could admit that right now, Guts had the upper hand.
Once he was revived as the Ten Tails' Jinchūriki…he would surpass Guts.
No he would surpass everyone in this world.
Obito gave him a cold glance.
"The only way forward is for me to use Rinne Rebirth on you. Right now, that means you follow my orders. Don't move recklessly."
Madara's eyes gleamed with dark amusement.
"The little brat from that night… has become far more cunning."
As the two Uchiha exchanged cold words atop the Ten Tails
Guts leaned down, whispering a few instructions to Hinata and Hanabi.
Their faces stiffened, but they nodded, splitting apart as he directed.
"Kakashi," Minato said firmly, "let's deal with Obito together!"
Following Guts's unspoken plan, Minato moved first.
Kakashi, meanwhile, was still dazed.
Seeing his long-dead friend alive before him left his mind reeling, his heart unsteady.
Guts wanted to smack him awake, but he let it go... for now, he needed to focus on Madara.
"Susanoo—Nine Hundred YASAKA MAGATAMA!!!"
A storm of dark green chakra magatama rained down like a thousand deadly petals, hammering toward Obito and Madara atop the Ten Tails.
Obito immediately phased into intangibility, while Madara summoned Susanoo's shield and arms to block the barrage.
Even the Ten Tails staggered back several steps from the impact.
"That's… the Perfect Susanoo!"
Jiraiya, who had seen it once before, couldn't hide his awe.
But this one was dark green and not Madara's.
"It's Shisui!" Hanabi shouted, recognizing the energy from their previous battle.
The full-body Susanoo soaring in the sky was indeed Shisui's.
Madara narrowed his eyes.
"Oh? Another Uchiha who can awaken those eyes but they aren't truly yours, are they?"
"Another nuisance," Obito muttered coldly.
"Can you handle it?"
"Heh… worry about yourself," Madara said with a mocking smirk.
"Those two are coming for you."
