Chapter 4 - Chapter 2.5 - Thief

Meanwhile in Los Angeles

"Police are intensifying their search for a grand theft auto suspect responsible for stealing seven luxury vehicles, valued at over $1.5 million, in the past month. The thief, described as highly skilled, has targeted countless neighbourhoods and bypassed advanced security systems with ease.

The latest theft occurred Tuesday night, when a black Lamborghini Veneno was stolen from a downtown parking garage. Surveillance footage captured a hooded figure tampering with the vehicle moments before it vanished.

"We're dealing with a calculated and experienced individual," said Police Chief Daniel Ramirez. Authorities suspect the thief may be linked to a larger criminal network specializing in high-end vehicle theft.

Residents are urged to secure their vehicles and report suspicious activity. Extra patrols and advanced surveillance are being deployed to prevent further incidents."This is unsettling," said local resident Mark Carter. "If they can do this, what's next?"

Police encourage anyone with information to contact the city's anonymous tip line. Despite the thief remaining at large, officials remain confident that justice will be served. This investigation is ongoing, and updates will follow as new details emerge.

This was Olivia Creed, from Fox News. Tune in for more details."

You know when people say that thieves are normally broke and trying to make a living off of the money they extract from their stolen goods, mine being luxury cars, well, they aren't exactly wrong. But you know what, if they haven't caught me after three years of doing this, I don't know why they haven't changed their strategies. Normally, you lure the criminal out in order to make the capture easier, but these dumb cops have been using the same tactic for these past three years. That being to try to catch me in the act. To try and gather some luxury cars in hopes I go after those, but no, I'm not that stupid. If you were to see more than five luxury cars in the same place, this normally means something is going on. Which is why I always head in the opposite direction.

Oh, and the news reporter wasn't exactly wrong when she said I was working with someone, but this someone isn't someone to mess with. Which is why I've been doing my best in order to be on his good side, not only so I don't get caught, but also so I get my cut in the jobs I pull off.

Anyway, this is me. Grand Theft Auto. Runaway, and Broken.

I work in the shadows, and race for the wild. As my boss likes to call me, I am Shadow Rider.
