"Notify all the mages of Kamar-Taj and all members of the Avengers to get ready. Steve needs our support," Doctor Strange ordered firmly in the New York Sanctum.
Although Strange had only just been resurrected, he was the one who triggered this chain of events—and he knew exactly what was coming.
More accurately, he had seen the future. Now, all that remained was to rally everyone to support Steve and Tony.
"No way, Strange—you show up after five years and start barking orders?" A golden portal shimmered open, revealing a plump man in monk's robes with a wry expression.
"Wong, you're the Sorcerer Supreme now. How could I possibly command you?" Strange replied with a subtle smile, relieved to see his old friend again.
Though it felt like no time had passed, Strange knew five long years had gone by.
In Strange's absence, Wong had served as the acting Sorcerer Supreme, bearing the responsibility alone. Honestly, Strange figured Wong might be the shortest-reigning Sorcerer Supreme in the history of Kamar-Taj.
"Now that you're back, you take the title. I've had more than enough trivial duties—can't even find time to get dim sum in Hong Kong," Wong muttered, his tone laced with mock resentment.
"Alright, alright. We'll talk about the title later. First, carry out the order." Strange quickly turned away, unable to bear Wong's accusatory glare.
Even someone as shameless as Strange felt a pang of guilt. Without another word, he changed the subject.
"Gather every mage of Kamar-Taj. Head to Wakanda and bring all warriors directly to the battlefield. Steve and Tony brought us back—now it's time to repay that debt," he said, his tone grave as he addressed the gathered mages.
"Steve and Tony can't take on Thanos and his army alone. They need backup—now. If we delay, they won't last."
The mages of Kamar-Taj immediately grasped the urgency. Thanos had returned. There was no room for hesitation. One by one, they began opening portals across the world.
Fortunately, Wakanda was already the central rally point for the Avengers during the Infinity War. Strange's strategy required minimal searching—just rapid deployment.
"Mr. Strange, should we head over right now?" asked Peter Parker (Holland version), his voice filled with worry. "Tony's facing Thanos again!"
"It's alright. We still have time to assemble. They'll hold," Strange said confidently, exuding a calm that belied the tension.
But Wong was unconvinced. "What if something goes wrong? Are we really ready? Are you sure this future will work out?"
Though he wasn't close with the Avengers, Wong owed them. They had helped bring back many of Kamar-Taj's sorcerers—and that meant something.
"There can't be any accidents," Strange said solemnly. "This is our only shot. I believe in them—and in us."
He looked off into the distance, eyes reflecting a future only he had seen.
"I've seen the future," he whispered.
Wong opened his mouth again, but Strange raised a hand—he had just received word. The rest of Kamar-Taj's mages had finished assembling.
"It's time."
With a sweep of his hand, Doctor Strange opened a massive portal. Behind him, Avengers and sorcerers surged forward, eyes burning with vengeance.
They had returned to answer the call.
"T'Challa!"
"Sam!"
"Quill!"
"Spidey!"
"Bucky!"
"Strange!"
"Wanda!"
Steve Rogers stood frozen as the portals lit up the battlefield. Familiar faces walked through—friends long lost to the Snap.
One after another, the Avengers returned. Resurrected by sacrifice. Back to fight.
Emotion surged through Steve. Every hardship, every loss—it hadn't been in vain.
The reinforcements didn't just include superheroes. Robed sorcerers marched forth, magic crackling around their hands. Warriors from Wakanda followed, spears gleaming, armor catching the sun.
Black Panther T'Challa stepped forward. He locked eyes with Steve and simply said:
"We will win."
Just two words—but they landed like a vow. Everyone present felt it: the weight of purpose. The need for victory.
"Avengers…" Steve called out, lifting his shield.
"…assemble."
He raised Mjolnir.
The Avengers prepared to charge—but then they all froze.
Because before them, in the heart of the battlefield, was a blaze of flames.
High-level mystic fire incinerated alien soldiers by the dozens. At the center of the inferno stood another Doctor Strange—not the one they knew, but a version more imposing, more powerful. His hands moved in a blur as he cast the powerful Fire God Opens the Way spell.
Beside him, a silver-white figure flashed through the ranks, fighting Thanos in hand-to-hand combat. The air rippled from their collisions. The figure moved with such speed and force that Thanos—the Mad Titan himself—was driven back.
The newcomer was dazzling, godlike. His strikes sent shockwaves that knocked even the returning Avengers to the ground.
Tony, Steve, and the others had expected to find chaos and desperation.
But instead, they saw Thanos getting absolutely wrecked.
Wait… weren't they the backup?
Tony blinked. "Uh… guys? Are we sure we're needed?"
Peter whispered, "I thought they said we were the last hope…"
"Is that Strange? Or… another one?" Steve murmured, watching the robed sorcerer incinerating enemies without breaking a sweat.
"And who the hell is that?" Sam added, pointing to the silver-white fighter hammering Thanos into the dirt.
Had the world changed that much in five years?
Had humanity evolved to the point where someone could solo Thanos?
Strange—the one who had gathered everyone—stood stunned. "Another me…?"
Wong glanced between the battlefield and his friend. "Are we in the wrong timeline? Did we just witness the future—or something beyond it?"
Because that other Strange wasn't just powerful. He radiated the aura of a true Sorcerer Supreme.
Strange locked eyes with the silver-white figure.
Alex Ray.
The so-called Lord of Hell's Kitchen, wielder of the Space Stone and Mind Stone. The man who once traversed multiverses with nothing but chaos magic, a broken Sling Ring, and a fistful of rage.
Alex had become a godlike force.
The true future had already arrived. And it was tearing Thanos apart.
Strange exhaled, almost in awe.
"So this… is the future?"
