"It's useless, it's useless! Is this all you've got? Just try to please me all you want." Hell's Thanos taunted, effortlessly blocking the combined attacks of Wanda (Scarlet Witch) and Doctor Strange with a single hand.
With the sudden arrival of Hell Thanos and his army, the already chaotic battlefield descended into further madness. Fortunately, this new force didn't discriminate—attacking both Thanos's original alien troops and the Avengers alike.
Alex Ray, as well as the original Thanos, both took note of the chaos and the emergence of the new Thanos.
"This plot is completely broken. My life sucks... It was already enough trouble dealing with one Thanos, now there's another? How the hell did this guy even show up?" Alex muttered in disbelief. The situation was quickly spiraling into something far worse than he had anticipated.
He also noticed something terrifying—Hell Thanos was wielding three Infinity Stones. At this point, neither the Avengers nor Strange could hope to match that level of power.
Thanos had noticed the same thing. He didn't show surprise at Hell Thanos' arrival. After all, if he himself had crossed into another universe, then it wasn't unthinkable for another version of himself to do the same.
The only thing he truly cared about was the Infinity Gauntlet. When he saw Hell Thanos toss aside the customized glove crafted by the Avengers, Thanos' first response was fury. His second? Determination—he had to reclaim it.
With the gauntlet, he could regain the upper hand. Without it, he was vulnerable. Spotting a brief moment where Alex was stunned, Thanos charged toward the gauntlet at full speed.
Naturally, Alex wasn't about to let that happen. His advantage over Thanos was narrow to begin with. If Thanos reclaimed the gauntlet, it would no longer be a fair fight—it'd be a toss-up, at best.
"Where do you think you're going? Don't even think about getting away!" Alex's voice boomed across the battlefield. He flashed into motion like lightning, intercepting Thanos with blinding speed.
His weapon gleamed with lethal intent, slicing toward the Mad Titan with all the force of a thunderstorm.
"You damn pest!" Thanos growled, enraged by Alex's persistence. He threw a furious punch, the shockwaves ripping through the air with violent energy.
But this time, Alex wasn't holding back. He unleashed his full power—100%.
"What!?" Thanos staggered, stunned to realize that his strength was diminishing.
He had conquered countless worlds with sheer brute force. How was he now being overwhelmed?
In a rare moment of urgency, Thanos dodged Alex's follow-up strike. His large frame moved with startling agility, more like a predator than a brute.
But Alex had him beat—both in speed and technique. No matter how Thanos tried to escape, Alex was always a step ahead.
It became clear to Thanos: unless he could eliminate Alex, he would never get the Infinity Gauntlet.
Alex understood the stakes, too. His time was limited. He had to defeat Hell Thanos quickly to claim the Time Stone from Strange. If Hell Thanos got it first, then no one—not even Alex—could win.
Even if he somehow triumphed, Thanos could just use the Time Stone to reverse everything.
Just like in the movie—Thor had nearly killed Thanos, only to lose because of the Time Stone's reversal.
Both Alex and Thanos had come to the same conclusion:
They needed to take down their enemy now.
As Alex pressured Thanos with relentless aggression, he also silently gave thanks. If it had been anyone else who arrived from another timeline, they might've joined forces against him.
But Thanos—any version of him—refused to bow to anyone. He always saw himself as supreme. Hell Thanos's indiscriminate slaughter proved it—he viewed both Alex and the original Thanos as enemies.
He was the kind of being who would sacrifice his own daughter for his goals. Killing a version of himself? That meant nothing.
Thanos was merciless to others—and even more so to himself.
Through his Observation Haki, Alex sensed the Avengers' auras fading fast. At this rate, both sides would be wiped out. It was as if someone had orchestrated the entire conflict from behind the scenes—and that someone turned out to be Hell Thanos.
Alex scanned the vast army surrounding them. Despite his strength, he couldn't protect everyone. His Shadow Corps—previously used to clear minor enemies—was no longer sustainable. Without the Eight Demon Gods or demonic energy, maintaining them drained his own power.
He had already dismissed them to focus on killing Thanos.
But even if he won, there might be no one left in this universe. Everyone from Kamar-Taj would die. Alex had already witnessed countless mages and Wakandan soldiers fall in battle.
He was out of options.
The only solution now was to call for reinforcements.
But there was a catch—his exclusive skill [On Your Right] could only teleport five people.
No matter how powerful Hell's Kitchen was, five people might not be enough.
"What the hell should I do?" he muttered.
Just as Alex was pushing Thanos back, a voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
"Alex, figure something out! If you don't help soon, your good brother's gonna die right here!"
The distraction was enough—Thanos landed a heavy blow, sending Alex flying.
Elsewhere on the battlefield, the Avengers were being pushed back alongside Doctor Strange.
"Do we even have a chance anymore? Even your friend can't beat Thanos," Tony Stark said grimly.
"If it comes to it, maybe we should retreat. As long as you're gone, Thanos can't collect all six stones," Steve Rogers suggested.
"Damn it, you think I don't want to leave? I can't!" Doctor Strange snapped. "Only Alex knows how to contact the Ancient One. Only he can get us out of here!"
His refined composure was gone. He looked desperate and furious. Even he was afraid to die.
"Mr. Stephen… Is there any way to fight two Thanoses at once?" Spider-Man asked nervously, hoping the team's braintrust had an answer.
Their original plan had been to retrieve the discarded Infinity Gauntlet and give it to Thor, using its power against the other stones. But even though Hell Thanos had tossed it away, he wasn't letting anyone get near it.
At that moment, Doctor Strange turned to Strange and said, "Give me the Time Stone. Maybe there's still hope."
He knew the other Strange hadn't mastered time magic yet. If he could wield it properly, there might be a slim chance of changing the outcome.
But Strange immediately refused. "What? You want me to hand it over just so you can serve it to Thanos again? Not a chance! Besides, we haven't lost yet!"
The Avengers fell into silence, the bitter truth weighing on them. They had lost. The outcome was already clear. Hope was fading fast.
Strange turned and shouted toward Alex, "Alex, stop pretending to be dead! Get backup! Call in the Hell's Kitchen crew—get your brothers here, now!"
