"They're coming! Get ready!"
Juggernaut bellowed from the watchtower, and the rest of the mutants instantly snapped to alert.
From a platform on the second floor, Cassandra Nova glanced casually at the incoming van. Then, unfazed, she turned and strolled back inside.
To her, Deadpool's assault was nothing more than a game—another predictable attempt at rebellion destined to fail. She'd played this hero-vs-monster story over and over. Brave fools charged in thinking they were protagonists. They weren't. They were ants. And she wasn't the dragon at the end of the tale—she was something worse. Something unbeatable.
Others had fled. Others had been captured. But she remained in the Void by choice. Here, her power was unshackled, limitless. This wasteland was her sandbox.
"Let's see what those two Wolverines have to offer this time," she muttered, then dropped onto the couch, ready to be entertained.
Meanwhile, the armored vehicle barreled forward at full speed. Inside, Elektra stood up without hesitation, hoisted a rocket launcher, and fired at Cassandra's front gate.
BOOM!
The thunderous explosion rocked the compound. Fire lit up the night sky as debris flew in every direction. The blast shattered the gate and carved a smoking path straight into the heart of the base.
"What the hell? Since when do we carry rocket launchers?" Deadpool shouted in disbelief.
"Courtesy of the Punisher," Elektra replied flatly.
"Wait, which Punisher? We've had so many reboots I can't keep track!"
Deadpool grumbled, but this clearly wasn't the time for a deep dive into casting history.
"I'm not ready yet!!!"
Amid the smoke and fire, Deadpool and his team sped through the breach. The vehicle swerved expertly through tight corridors before sliding to a dramatic stop in a wide chamber deep inside the base.
Doors flew open.
One by one, the squad leapt out in synchronized motion, clad in mismatched but combat-ready gear, every face burning with fierce resolve.
Eight heroes stood ready.
Actually, seven—until the trunk popped open.
Wolverine, wearing the bright yellow X-Men suit from the old days, stepped out silently, eyes steeled.
Eight.
Across from them, Cassandra's mutant enforcers assembled, bracing for the attack. They weren't the most powerful—no Magneto, no Doctor Strange—but they were far from weak.
Wolverine recognized several familiar faces.
Azazel. Lady Deathstrike. Pyro. Multiple Man.
Most were from the Brotherhood of Mutants, but there were X-Men from alternate timelines and teams as well—Storm from the Four Horsemen of Apocalypse, Wolfsbane of the New Mutants, an evil variant of Cyclops, even a few notorious criminals from Hell's Kitchen.
"This feels like a team-building exercise for villains," Deadpool quipped. "Sign me up for the X-Men too."
(Look, it's not like we can afford this many cameos in the actual movie. Disney's budget has limits. But here in this fanfic? We go wild. Hell, maybe I'll throw Stephen Strange and that giant wolf from Thor: Ragnarok onto the enemy team too.)
"In this battle," Gambit—aka the King of Cards—proclaimed, "I will show the world my true power!"
He gently touched his deck. Each card shimmered with kinetic energy, vibrating with anticipation. As he raised his hand, a low hum filled the air.
"This is it—the perfect finale," Elektra said, flipping her twin daggers in her hands.
"If I make it through this," Blade muttered coldly, "I'll buy the first round in Hell's Kitchen."
Wolverine from Hell's Kitchen puffed his cigar, glancing sideways at his yellow-suited alternate.
"Let's see who takes out more."
Then he looked down at X-23 beside him.
"Red Tank's yours. Stay sharp."
Even hopelessly outnumbered, the team didn't falter. No hesitation. No fear.
"This is it! The music! The slow motion! The shared purpose!" Deadpool from the main universe was practically bursting with excitement. "This is what Marvel's all about! This is a team! I've waited my whole life for this!"
Hell's Kitchen Deadpool pulled him into a half-hug.
"Kid, this is just the start. I've fought in scenes like this so many times. You've got heart—but you still don't get it. You need to watch me."
Main Deadpool looked up at his counterpart with awe and curiosity.
Then Hell's Deadpool stepped forward with exaggerated flair.
"Listen up, all you ugly-ass mutants! You're surrounded. Drop your weapons now or I'll bury you myself when my crew arrives!"
He struck a bold, theatrical pose—clearly inspired by Alex Ray, whom he'd seen command entire armies with nothing but presence.
But instead of fear, the mutants stared at him like he'd lost his mind.
Then they opened fire.
A synchronized hail of bullets tore into him from all sides, shredding his body and dropping him instantly.
Deadpool's body spasmed in a grotesque dance as holes ripped through his limbs, torso, and mask.
He crumpled. But the war had begun.
Yellow-suited Wolverine dashed up the staircase toward Cassandra's throne room.
Hell's Kitchen Wolverine charged Juggernaut head-on, determined to rip off his helmet and bash his skull in.
Despite being outnumbered, Gambit, Elektra, and Blade held their ground like seasoned war veterans, cutting through Cassandra's forces with brutal efficiency.
Main Deadpool moved to follow Wolverine upstairs—but stopped cold when he spotted two all-too-familiar enemies.
Ajax.
Angel Dust.
"Oh come on," Deadpool groaned. "Are you two serious right now? Can't you read the room? This is my movie! Disney didn't invite you to the party!"
He spun his katanas and pointed them both at the pair.
"This is a mutant scene! What are you doing here—trying out for background roles? You're not even on the poster!"
