Alex Ray felt that their plan was quite successful.
Ever since he returned from Spider-Man's base, he had immediately convened a meeting here in Hell's Kitchen.
It was late at night, yet a hidden corner of Hell's Kitchen was brightly lit. Heroes from all walks of life had gathered, determination and anticipation flashing in their eyes.
Standing before them all, Alex Ray spoke with a steady, commanding voice that seemed to pierce the night and reach straight into their hearts. "We can't sit back and do nothing anymore. The future of Hell's Kitchen is in our hands." His words ignited a fire within everyone present.
After an intense session of debate and strategic planning, they finally settled on a detailed course of action.
The top priority was to send an elite team across the multiverse to locate and rescue the displaced residents of Hell's Kitchen—those scattered across countless worlds.
Simultaneously, the team was ordered to strictly avoid direct confrontation with the reincarnated intruders, focusing solely on saving lives wherever possible.
The second part of the plan was far more cunning and calculated.
Alex decided to quietly spread rumors about "Alex Ray" throughout other universes. This name would serve as bait to lure the reincarnators.
The messages, crafted with meticulous care, were like dandelion seeds drifting through space, carried to the ears of the reincarnators. Every breadcrumb, every whisper, ultimately led to a dimensional trap constructed by Alex himself.
Alex oversaw this dimension personally. He was quietly calculating in his mind, betting that the reincarnation space would use him as an anchor point to teleport its agents.
Still, he knew nothing was guaranteed. That was why the key intel retrieved from Spider-Man's base—that the main god space always teleports reincarnators to a specific, consistent location—was his backup trump card.
Should the main god space refuse to take the bait, and instead teleport its agents directly into the real Hell's Kitchen, Alex had contingency plans already in place.
He had planted several trustworthy allies to monitor spatial shifts at all times. If any abnormal fluctuations were detected, they would immediately contact the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj, who would then activate their portals and quietly guide the reincarnators into the trap dimension.
This approach was undoubtedly more complex than simply luring enemies in headfirst, but Alex believed the safety of Hell's Kitchen justified every sacrifice.
Fortunately, the main god space ultimately played right into his hands.
At the precise moment when time within the god space halted, Alex's sharp intuition allowed him to detect faint spatial ripples.
After all, he was the architect of this dimension. If he couldn't sense it, he might as well retire.
Without hesitation, he mobilized elite members of the Brotherhood of Mutants along with the most dependable fighters from Hell's Kitchen and entered the dimension to prepare for what was coming.
As for the killers from the High Table or the ordinary residents of Hell's Kitchen, Alex had deliberately kept them out of this mission. Even if their skills surpassed ordinary civilians or rivaled S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, they were still no match for the reincarnated warriors.
His decision, though ruthless, was meant to minimize casualties and ensure the plan's success.
As it turned out, the reincarnators were indeed formidable. Had those residents been allowed to join, it would have been a suicide mission.
It was this series of intricate strategies and decisive moves that led to the overwhelming ambush that followed.
The moment the reincarnators were teleported in, Alex transferred them into Doctor Strange's Mirror Dimension. With the help of Kang's "Senbonzakura Kageyoshi" artifact, they were sealed within.
If the reincarnators had time to react or fight, the battle would have gone very differently.
After all, Alex recognized many familiar faces among them—figures who had dominated their respective worlds.
There was Madara, the legendary figure from the Naruto universe, known for his colossal Susanoo and indomitable will;
Enel, wielder of the Goro Goro no Mi in One Piece, a thunderous god nearly invincible with control over lightning;
Bardock, the fabled Super Saiyan from the Dragon Ball universe, whose combat prowess and latent power were beyond imagination;
Lord Voldemort, the dark wizard from Harry Potter, master of the Dark Arts and unyielding ambition;
And even Boros, the galactic tyrant from One Punch Man, whose might could decimate stars.
Alex needed only a glance to estimate their threat level—no probing required.
His gaze swept the battlefield. The ambush had wiped out at least a hundred reincarnators instantly. Their bodies faded into nothingness, dissolving like dust within the void of the god space.
But the main god space didn't flinch. More reincarnators followed—but their numbers seemed capped at around two hundred, maintaining a tenuous equilibrium.
Though it was unclear how many more would come, Alex had an advantage—they were on his turf. He had his allies, and the strength of Hell's Kitchen behind him.
And he doubted the Reincarnationists would risk sacrificing their entire force just to get to him.
If worst came to worst, Alex was prepared to step in personally.
So far, he'd held back, guided by an uneasy feeling. His sixth sense warned him that taking action too early would trigger something far worse.
Besides, the threat of intervention by Earth's ancient gods lingered in the back of his mind.
Still, after observing the battlefield, Alex realized Tony Stark and his team had matured. With their upgraded capabilities and seamless teamwork, they were more than capable of taking on the reincarnators' elite.
It was a perfect opportunity for growth.
So, Alex chose to remain hidden—watching, waiting.
His gaze shifted and landed on Captain Universe Spider-Man, who stood frozen mid-thought.
At that moment, Spider-Man's expression was full of shock and disorientation. The clever gleam in his eyes had dulled, replaced by a blank stare into the distance.
Alex could sense the turmoil surging in Spider-Man's heart. This level of emotional disruption was rare for a hero so seasoned in war.
"What's wrong? You're up next. What's on your mind?" Alex's voice was calm but resolute, trying to pull Spider-Man back from the brink of his mental spiral.
There was an unmistakable note of concern in his tone. Spider-Man blinked slowly, then returned to his senses under Alex's prompt.
"Oh… okay. I'm going now," he mumbled, his voice still tinged with confusion.
He turned and walked toward the frontlines, his steps heavy, his posture oddly unsteady.
Alex watched his back with a furrowed brow. "What's going on with him? He suddenly looks like he lost all his brain cells."
He muttered under his breath, genuinely puzzled. How could the strongest version of Spider-Man suddenly fall apart like this?
Still, Alex didn't dwell on it. He rose quietly into the air, hiding in the sky once more, continuing to oversee the ongoing battle.
He was the sun—a blazing presence that Ye Liangchen mistakenly identified. Alex couldn't truly create a sun, but he could transform himself into one.
Meanwhile, Captain Universe Spider-Man trudged forward, murmuring to himself:
"This isn't Hell's Kitchen. I've never seen a version like this before…"
