Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: F-level Magic Crystal

Glass lit a cigarette and leisurely took a drag. "A gun with a knife thrown in, that's already quite generous, don't you think?"

White shook his head. "We really don't have that much money! We only have about 60,000 Alliance Coins!"

Glass smiled. "Sixty thousand isn't enough. Why don't you just take a heavy-duty sniper rifle? It's powerful enough, but it's not as precise as the 'Blood Demon'."

Xiao Feng grinned. "Boss, if it were you, would you choose a twenty-year-old woman or a forty-year-old woman?"

Glass laughed heartily. "Of course, I'd choose the twenty-year-old. That's a given!"

"Then, the 'Blood Demon' is like the twenty-year-old, and the heavy-duty sniper rifle is like a forty-something widow. Of course, we'll pick the 'Blood Demon'! But, could you possibly give us a little discount? We won't even ask for the 'Reaper'! Just give us a better price!"

"Ninety thousand, no less!" Glass said firmly.

Looking at the desperate gleam in Xiao Feng's eyes, White realized that Xiao Feng truly coveted this sniper rifle. With a resolute heart, White replied, "Ninety thousand is still too much. That price could buy us a battle tank. How about seventy thousand? If that works for you, we have a deal!"

"Seventy thousand?? Are you joking with me, my hunters? Heh, eighty thousand. I can see you're sincere. This is the absolute lowest price I can offer. Any less, and I'll be losing money!"

"Eighty thousand? The lowest?" White asked, surprised.

"Yes, the lowest," Glass confirmed.

White patted Xiao Feng's head. "Alright, let's go. We don't have that much money."

Xiao Feng reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a blue magic crystal. He placed it in front of White with a calm smile. "Uncle, I still have a Head Wolf's magic crystal!"

When White saw the F-level magic crystal in Xiao Feng's hand, his expression froze. "You really killed the Head Wolf?"

"Yes, but I didn't kill it. A group of magic apes had heavily wounded the Head Wolf when I arrived. It was on its last breath, so I got lucky," Xiao Feng explained nonchalantly.

Glass eyed the F-level magic crystal in Xiao Feng's hand. "Heh, with this crystal, I'll sell the rifle to you. With the 'Blood Demon', if you kill ten F-level magical beasts, you'll already cover your costs!"

White gritted his teeth. "Alright then, we'll buy the gun."

"Uncle, you're the best!" Xiao Feng shouted with excitement, jumping up in joy.

White handed over the Alliance coins and the F-level magic crystal to Glass, while Xiao Feng eagerly took the advanced sniper rifle, the 'Blood Demon', from the arms dealer's hands.

Glass then handed over a bag of bullets to Xiao Feng. "These bullets are a gift from me. But you must promise me—whenever you get F-level magic crystals, you'll sell them to me first!"

"Alright, Boss, I have one more question. What exactly can these magic crystals be used for, that they're so expensive?" Xiao Feng asked.

Glass chuckled. "The Victoria Corporation buys these magic crystals in large quantities. They extract the pure energy from the crystals and use it in spacecraft to manufacture faster ships. Now, do you understand?"

"Ah, so that's it. In that case, Uncle White, our lives will definitely improve from here on out!" Xiao Feng exclaimed.

"Yes, our lives will get better and better. Let's go. Viper and the others might be waiting impatiently by now!" White replied.

"Uncle, could you give me another bag? This long black one with the 'Blood Demon' is just too conspicuous!" Xiao Feng added with a grin.

Glass laughed. "Kid, you're quite thoughtful. Here, I'll give you a black bag. But you'll have to disassemble the gun to fit it in!"

Xiao Feng looked surprised. "How do I disassemble the gun? I don't know how."

Glass took the rifle from Xiao Feng and skillfully disassembled it before his eyes. "Got it now?"

Xiao Feng smiled. "I'll have to try it myself." With that, he swiftly reassembled the 'Blood Demon' in front of Glass, after having only seen the process once. With impressive speed, Xiao Feng disassembled the sniper rifle again and placed each part into the bag with grace.

White had seen Xiao Feng disassemble sniper rifles before, so he wasn't too surprised. But Glass, who had never witnessed such a thing, was taken aback. How could a teenager like Xiao Feng have such an incredible memory?

Glass knew that the 'Blood Demon' was rare and costly, something most people couldn't afford. Thus, he was certain Xiao Feng had never seen this rifle before. Xiao Feng's skill was nothing short of astonishing.

Glass couldn't help but murmur to himself, "A true genius with firearms!"

Xiao Feng smiled. "Thanks for the compliment, Boss. When we get more F-level magic crystals, we'll be sure to sell them to you!"

With that, Xiao Feng, looking every bit the part of a skilled marksman, slung the slender black bag over his shoulder and followed White out of the stall.

After leaving the black market, Xiao Feng turned to White, still carrying the black bag. "Uncle, are we going to visit your friend now?"

"You're quite sharp, kid. Yes, we're going to visit my friend. His mercenary group is well-known in the Alliance. If we can join them, we might no longer have to live this wandering life!" White spoke with a great deal of hope in his voice.

Upon hearing this, Xiao Feng's face lit up. "Uncle, is that really true? Then let's hurry!"

White led Xiao Feng through the streets of Gedo City, but even he was not entirely confident. His heart felt heavy as they walked for nearly half an hour. Eventually, they arrived at the eastern edge of the city, where an abandoned school stood. This former school was now the headquarters of the famous mercenary group.

The classrooms had been transformed into barracks for the mercenaries, and the once desolate soccer field had been turned into a small training ground. More than thirty mercenaries were training there, panting heavily as they ran around the field.

In one corner, a line of shooting targets stood silently, observing the mercenaries in action.

The basketball court had been converted into a gym, where a few burly men were lifting dumbbells, each one weighing several hundred kilograms.

This desolate school, far from the city center, was now the only place the mercenary group dared to establish their base. Just beyond the school, there were abandoned buildings that could harbor any number of dangerous magical beasts.

As White and Xiao Feng approached the school gates, they were stopped by two massive figures.

"What are you two doing here?" one of the men asked.
