"Thank you for the little sun—I'll miss you!"
While speaking, two mechanical tentacles sliced through the air and slammed toward the mechanical octopus.
Just as he was about to smash the octopus's control pod, Kraken felt a huge force behind him, dragging him away from the mechanical platform.
"Careful there! Don't you see you're about to hit someone?" Peter said while pulling. "And the contents of these containers are all important cargo. If they break, even selling yourself wouldn't cover the damages!"
Dr. Otto and Kraken both saw Spider-Man perched on a container—the web-slinger was being nosy as usual.
For Dr. Otto, Spider-Man's appearance was welcome. After all, his combat ability wasn't strong—he could only make basic attacks with mechanical tentacles.
Most importantly, that layer of light blue energy on Kraken's mechanical tentacles was proving irresistible to his mechanical octopus. With that energy's help, Kraken's power had dramatically increased. The mechanical tentacles that should have been inferior to the mechanical octopus could now easily destroy it.
"Spider-Man, let's take down this guy together! I lost my mechanical tentacles to this thief, and I have to get them back!"
Of course, Dr. Otto also had selfish motives. He'd been trying to analyze how to reproduce the energy strengthening those mechanical tentacles.
Peter nodded in agreement with Dr. Otto's proposal. The mechanical octopus's tentacles didn't have handholds, so he could move quickly using spider webs.
While the mechanical tentacles drew Kraken's attention, Peter swung on webbing and launched an attack.
There was only a muffled sound as Peter's kick was blocked.
"Spider-Man? We meet again!" Kraken pushed Peter's feet away and punched hard with mechanical tentacle assistance.
Peter was hit by the punch and sent flying backward. Although Peter's spider strength was considerable, that didn't mean he could withstand such powerful force while airborne.
Fortunately, his reflexes were excellent. While flying backward, he shot out webbing that wrapped around the mechanical octopus's tentacles. Relying on the web's incredible tensile strength, he forced his body to stop.
"That's some serious strength!"
This was the first time Peter had encountered this kind of opponent since gaining spider abilities. The light blue energy was dramatically enhancing Kraken's power.
Meanwhile, Marcus and Harry stood on a nearby rooftop, quietly watching the three-way battle.
"Dr. Otto's tentacles are getting broken! Why are that guy's mechanical tentacles so strong?"
"Spider-Man got knocked back too! Isn't this guy a little too powerful?"
Harry muttered anxiously. He was startled by Kraken's strength—not just the mechanical tentacles on his back, but even the light blue energy wrapped around Kraken's arms looked formidable.
"Not bad, but strength alone has its limits!"
Marcus commented with a smile. Kraken's power was genuinely impressive and could even compete with Peter's super strength, but it came at a cost.
While he'd gained tremendous abilities and even enhanced his mechanical tentacles greatly, the consequence was dramatically increased energy consumption. The power he'd accumulated over recent days wouldn't last long at all. Soon Kraken would be exhausted and become even more desperate.
"Show me your limits!"
Watching Kraken fighting both opponents, Marcus was somewhat curious how far Kraken could push Peter.
However, Marcus kept half his attention on checking the surrounding situation—not for Harry's safety, but because in his perception, more and more people were approaching, all carrying weapons without exception.
"Ha! These gangsters are making their move too!"
After sensing the criminals, Marcus couldn't help but laugh.
Both Peter and Dr. Otto were limited to simple attacks. Against the equally powerful Kraken, they couldn't accomplish much.
But these gangsters were different. Their individual strength might not match any of the three fighters, but besides guns, some were approaching with rocket launchers on their shoulders.
"This is getting more interesting!"
"Right! That guy was holding his own against Spider-Man. Even though I don't like the web-head, I don't want him to lose either!"
Harry nodded. Compared to Spider-Man, Kraken was the most hated. He'd targeted the Osborn Group, essentially declaring war on them!
As someone from the Osborn Group's wealth, Harry would never sympathize with their enemy.
The two continued watching the battle, with Harry occasionally cheering.
"No, this guy's evenly matched with me. I need your cooperation!"
After several rounds fighting Kraken, Peter had assessed his opponent's strength. Even without mechanical tentacles, Kraken would still be formidable.
"How do I cooperate?"
Dr. Otto's voice came from the control cabin. Facing Kraken's amplified mechanical tentacles, he could only win through numbers. He was using two tentacles to restrict each of Kraken's—he couldn't spare any more.
"Use all your remaining active tentacles! Attack this guy with me and wear down his strength!"
Hearing Peter's words, two mechanical tentacles without claw attachments slammed into Kraken's body, but were blocked by his energy-wrapped arms.
"Hahaha, your strength isn't enough!"
Kraken laughed wildly as the mechanical tentacles couldn't hurt him.
Seeing Kraken's condition, Peter immediately prepared to web him up, but the moment he moved, his spider-sense exploded—danger!
Without hesitation, Peter jumped with both legs onto the tentacles.
"Look out! There's danger!"
Peter's seemingly random warning puzzled Dr. Otto, but the next moment he understood what danger Peter meant.
A rocket streaked toward them with a fiery tail—the attackers' target was clear: the octopus monster fighting them.
BOOM!
Accompanied by the explosion's roar, Kraken was engulfed in the rocket's fireball.
"How's that, Kraken? Didn't expect us to show up too?"
