Chapter 149 - CHAPTER 149

Suddenly, Tsunade felt a strong arm wrap around her waist, pulling her into an unfamiliar yet powerful embrace. Her eyes widened in shock for a brief moment—but her expression quickly shifted to fury.

"You bastard!" she roared, her chakra flaring violently.

"You dare to touch me without permission?!"

A golden aura of chakra exploded around her, cracking the ground beneath their feet. As one of the Legendary Sannin and the greatest medical-nin in the world, Tsunade was also feared for her monstrous strength. Her instincts took over, her fists clenched as she prepared to retaliate.

And yet—her punch never landed.

Despite the sheer force of her chakra burst, the man holding her did not budge an inch.

"...Tsunade, is that really how you greet someone who missed you?" Byakuya said, smirking. His tone was teasing, almost mocking.

"You—!" Tsunade growled, struggling in his grip. "Let me go before I break every bone in your body!"

But no matter how she resisted, she couldn't free herself from his grasp.

"Haha! Go ahead and struggle all you want," Byakuya said, clearly amused. "I've waited too long to hold you again."

"Lady Tsunade!" Shizune's voice rang out.

"She's been captured! All units—protect the Hokage!"

The nearby Anbu, responding instantly to Shizune's cry, launched forward in a coordinated strike. Shuriken, kunai, and elemental jutsu filled the air as they closed in on Byakuya.

But he raised one hand calmly.

"Wood Release: Great Forest Technique."

The ground quaked, and giant wooden tendrils erupted from the earth, instantly overwhelming the attacking Anbu. Their weapons barely scratched the surface of the chakra-infused wood, and within seconds, they were bound and lifted into the air, completely subdued.

"The Wood Release?! But... that's the First Hokage's technique!" one Anbu gasped before being entangled.

Tsunade's eyes widened in disbelief. She had heard from Yamato that this man—Byakuya—possessed Wood Release, but seeing it with her own eyes was something else entirely.

And this wasn't artificial like Yamato's or those from Orochimaru's experiments. The power, the vitality of the jutsu... it was authentic.

"Who... who are you really?" Tsunade demanded, trying to keep her voice steady.

Byakuya looked into her eyes and replied with a calm smile, "I'm your future husband."

Tsunade flushed—not from affection, but pure rage.

"You arrogant scumbag... I'll make you eat those words!"

With a flash of movement, she raised her leg to deliver a crushing downward kick—her Heavenly Foot of Pain.

But again, Byakuya moved too fast. He caught her ankle with his right hand before her heel struck the ground, effortlessly stopping the attack.

Tsunade found herself in an awkward, almost compromising position—one leg held in the air, her balance broken.

Byakuya raised an eyebrow, a smirk tugging at his lips.

"That's a bold stance… looking to try something new?"

"You pervert!!" Tsunade shouted, her face turning crimson.

Her rage surged again—but somewhere beneath it, a flicker of uncertainty appeared in her golden eyes.

"Today, I will definitely teach you a lesson!"

Tsunade roared in fury as she launched herself at Byakuya once more. Her fist tore through the air with terrifying force, enhanced by chakra precise enough to shatter boulders—but it was effortlessly caught by Byakuya's palm.

Despite her ferocity, none of Tsunade's blows landed effectively.

Byakuya's strength far surpassed hers—not just in raw power, but in the uncanny precision of his counters. More than that, he was intimately familiar with Tsunade's movements, her ninjutsu, her rhythm in combat… even the subtleties of her posture.

Although this Tsunade was not the same one he had once lain with in another timeline, the resemblance was exact. Her form, voice, and even the determination in her eyes—all identical. A strange, almost surreal thrill coursed through Byakuya.

The intensity of their clash quickly drew the attention of the village. Alarmed by the battle shaking the streets near the Hokage residence, several high-ranking shinobi appeared on the scene.

Leading the group was Yamato, followed closely by Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy.

Seeing the fierce battle between the Fifth Hokage and the intruder, Yamato's expression tensed.

"This guy really made it to Konoha…" he muttered, his tone grim.

Kakashi's one visible eye narrowed as he turned to Yamato.

"Do you know him? Who is he? Who would dare to attack Tsunade-sama and stir chaos in Konoha?"

Yamato nodded, his voice steady despite the chaos.

"His name is Uchiha Byakuya... He's incredibly powerful. He possesses both the Sharingan and Wood Release."

"What!?" Kakashi's voice was filled with disbelief. "Both Wood Release and Sharingan…? Are you certain!?"

Even Might Guy, usually energetic and unshaken, was stunned.

"Yamato… you realize what you're saying, right? Sharingan and Wood Release? That's… Uchiha and Senju blood combined."

"I know. I saw it with my own eyes during the Loulan incident. He uses Mokuton more fluently than I ever could, and his Sharingan… it's evolved. He's not just an anomaly—he's a threat."

As they spoke, Shizune arrived, panic evident on her face.

"Kakashi! Guy! Thank goodness—you're here! Tsunade-sama is in danger. She can't win this alone. That man is far too powerful…"

"Understood," Kakashi said, adjusting his hitai-ate over his Sharingan.

"Let's go, Guy."

"Right!" Might Guy nodded. "We'll show him the power of youth—together!"

Without hesitation, the two elite jōnin charged forward, their chakra flaring, ready to support Tsunade and confront the rogue Uchiha whose existence defied the foundations of the shinobi world.
