Chapter 2 - No Prospects

In a well furnished room with designs which spook of a woman's domain, there in a rough and scattered bed, laid a lady.

Her position on the bed was not normal, as she looked like a person who was waging war in her sleep.

On the ground almost beneath the bed was an alarm clock. It seemed to have been brushed down by someone, as it was standing upside down.

The clock was ringing with all its might, trying to wake the sleeping beauty on the bed, however no matter how it screamed, it couldn't be heard.

Meanwhile, almost at the same time, a smartphone on the table next to the bed, began ringing and instantly the sleeping beauty hand tapped aimlessly on the desk before finally getting a hold of it.

The lady growled as she picked the call, leaving the phone in her ear.

"Yes?" she uttered, her voice filled with sleep remains and exhaustion.

Meanwhile at the other side of the phone, a calm and soft voice spoke.

"Don't tell me you are still sleeping by this time… Elly?" sounding as a question, but with deep meaning the lady at the other side of the call spoke.

The sleeping beauty, growled as she stretched her body, relieving the joint bones, while still on the bed.

"Come on, T. You know I don't usually wake up at this time." Elly beauty mumbled, while sitting upright at the edge of the bed, followed with a big yawn.

With the sound of the yawn heard from the other side of the phone, the lady uttered in a concerned tone.

"What do you mean by that? Have you forgotten you're going to start your first day as a hotel assistant today?"

At this point, upon hearing this, Elly who was scratching her eyes stopped, as she processed the information she just heard.

"Hello? Hello?… can you hear me Eloise?" the lady at the other side of the phone yelled.

However, there was no response, as Eloise had totally blacked out.

"Hellooooo!!"

With a massive yell escaping the phone into her ears, Eloise came back to reality, and quickly picked up the clock on the ground.

She checked the time and saw it was still thirty minutes past seven. Upon seeing this, her expression changed to that of someone being displeased.

"Of course I can hear you." she uttered, her voice sounding annoyed and displeased.

"What's with the harsh tone you are giving me this early morning." the lady at the other side of the phone spoke with a serious tone.

"You ask me." Eloise began. "why are you disturbing me when I still have three hours before my first day begins?"

As soon as she said this, she fell back on the bed, as if trying to get back the sleep she had just lost.

"That doesn't mean anything." the lady at the other side of the phone spoke. "knowing you, my best friend I am very sure you haven't even brought out what you are supposed to wear today. Or am I wrong?"

As the question passed from the phone into Eloise's ear, there was a little silence.

"Mhmm. I thought as much." the lady at the other side of the phone muttered. "now get up from that bed before I get to your front door. Unless…"

As soon as Eloise heard this, she quickly jumped up as if she knew what her best friend was going to do when she got to her house and saw her still on her bed.

..

Trixie. Eloise bestie. Or as she likes to call her "T". They both have been together for as long as she could remember and have been close to each other like bread and butter.

They both attended the same university, and graduated at the same time, got an apartment in the same place, even close to each other.

Basically they were neighbors with just a step out from one's apartment to the others'.

They had been through hell and back, with a strong bond that was unbreakable. Not even the hardest substance could break it.

They were friends of one in a million.

_

Ten minutes after the call had ended. Trixie was already at the doorstep of Eloise with a pot of omelet in her hands.

Without haste, she typed the four digit code to unlock Eloise door and immediately entered.

Obviously they were best friends, so it was normal for them to have access to each other's apartment code.

Trixie removed her slippers before entering and afterwards reached the living room.

"Elly!" She called out for Eloise, since it was what she calls her instead of her full name.

"Elly… where are you girl." she gently placed the hot pot of omelet on the dinning table and removed the hand gloves she wore, and made her way to Eloise's bedroom.

It was an apartment with a master's bedroom, a living room and a mini kitchen. Perfect for a single person to live in.

Getting to the room, Trixie saw lots of clothes on Eloise's bed as if there had just been a treasure search in her closet.

"Elly?" Trixie uttered slowly as she walked gently trying to make sense of where her best friend was.

"M cowming." a voice came out from a door a few feet away from Trixie.

"Oh are you brushing?" she asked as she went to open the door and found Eloise, sitting on the water-closet with a brush in her mouth.

"God damnit girl!"

Trixie exclaimed as she quickly closed the door in haste. "Finish quickly and come out here."

Trixie went and sat on Eloise's bed, while she stared at the scattered clothes on the bed.

"What a lady. She can't even arrange her clothes properly."

Seeing how the clothes were scattered on the bed, Trixie could tell that it was Eloise doing, who else could it have been.

She was probably trying to get her outfit ready, before she arrived, and after that immediately ran into the toilet to avoid being scolded.

*chuckle*

"Such a lady."

Trixie began helping Elly to fold her cloth and in a matter of minutes, Eloise came outside from the bathroom.

"Ha… finally freshened up." Eloise growled, as she stood with her hands on her waist like she had just accomplished a huge task.

"Freshened up by foot." Trixie commented, interrupting the glory moment that Eloise was feeling.

Instantly a frown displayed on Eloise's face, while staring at Trixie with a displeased expression.

"What do you mean by freshened?" Trixie began. "You only washed your month and you call that freshen up?"

At this moment, Trixie had a mischievous expression on her face as she was about to begin teasing Eloise.

"Look at you, your hair is so rough, you look like that of a village girl, your face—you have the face of an old hag and-"

Before Trixie could complete her sentence, Eloise jumped on her and covered her month so she couldn't say anymore.

She knew where her best friend would be going after she starts teasing her, and there was something she didn't want to hear.

Struggling on the bed, both of them moved aimlessly as Trixie was trying to remove herself from Eloise, but was completely covered in power.

However, she was able to slip just a part of her mouth past Elly's hands and immediately, the words that had been prevented from coming out… finally did.

"That's why you haven't had any relationship prospects."
