In the King of Heroes hand, the Sword of Rupture—Ea—began to whir violently. Its three cylindrical blades rotated at high speed, emitting a blinding crimson glow from the intricate lines etched into them.
As the blade moved, Garp, who had just raised his fist for another attack, instantly withdrew it.
With a sharp push of his foot, he retreated at top speed.
His Observation Haki had already sensed an overwheming danger, forcing him to abort his assault immediately.
The next instant—
The wind seemed to rupture.
As though some force had completely drained it, space itself twisted and collapsed into a half-fractured void. A rift formed, capable of cutting through all things in existence.
With the full release of Ea, Gilgamesh swung downward.
The space in front of him split open into countless layered distortions, tearing a massive fissure through the fabric of the world.
The upper half of the cathedral was instantly engulfed, disintegrating without warning into dust that floated away—revealing a star-strewn night sky.
Far in the distance, two Magi locked in battle were caught in the area of effect. Completely unprepared, they had no choice but to muster every ounce of their strength to defend themselves from the devastating blast.
The bounded field conjured by the King of Conquerors was obliterated in an instant. Within that space, Saber, Iskandar, and his Master were forced back into the material world—only to face Gilgamesh's all-encompassing bombardment.
A world-cleaving Noble Phantasm—Ea: Sword of Rupture, Enuma Elish.
At the very center of it all stood Garp.
In mere seconds, his body was torn apart, lacerated deeply in multiple places—some gashes revealing bone.
And this was despite him having been in his most fortified defensive state: the fusion of Tekkai and Armament Haki.
He had done everything to avoid the center of the dimensional rift.
Yet even after the storm of Ea had passed, Garp's body was still covered in deep, bleeding wounds. Blood poured from his body, and the damage to his abdomen was so severe that one could faintly see his internal organs.
To withstand Ea's Enuma Elish at point-blank range without dying, and only sustaining severe injuries—
It was a testament to Garp's unfathomable durability.
And even in that condition, he grinned.
"…It's over," Gilgamesh said coldly, his grip on Ea still firm.
Behind him, golden light shimmered again. From the Gate of Babylon, dozens of weapons extended outward, resembling a sky full of stars—each aimed at the bloodied Garp.
With Garp gravely wounded, Gilgamesh had regained his arrogance and planned to end it with another barrage from his treasury.
But what he didn't understand…
Was that in the world of pirates, fighting while injured was just another Tuesday.
Endurance—more than any other trait—defined a true powerhouse.
Though Garp was losing blood and his strength waned, his combat effectiveness would not plummet in the short term.
With a single stomp—
He vanished, reappearing before the King of Heroes as if warping through space.
Gilgamesh's eyes narrowed. Chains began to materialize from thin air—
But Garp's fist had already landed.
A killer iron fist.
Boom!!
The same terrifying force—this time, Gilgamesh was smashed directly into the ground. The earth caved in, and his body was blasted into the cathedral's underground chamber.
Garp gave no pause.
He kicked off the air and dove straight down.
His left fist cocked back and unleashed another devastating punch.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
Twenty punches in succession.
The underground collapsed hundreds of meters deep. Groundwater had already begun to surge upward.
Garp exhaled lightly and stood upright.
Gilgamesh's armor had been pulverized. His chest was mangled and bloody.
Even so, the fact that he wasn't entirely obliterated proved his armor was indeed a powerful defensive Noble Phantasm.
But unfortunately for him, his opponent was Garp—renowned for his iron fists.
Gilgamesh didn't even have time to utter a final word. His body spontaneously ignited and dispersed into glimmering motes of light.
Even Garp felt dizzy at this point.
Though he had superhuman endurance, sustaining such severe injuries and fighting with such intensity for so long would've worn down even the strongest of men.
After all, no matter how tough people in the One Piece world were, they were still living beings. Excessive blood loss meant death all the same.
In this state, he couldn't possibly take on the remaining two Servants…
He had to destroy the Holy Grail immediately, complete the mission, and return to the One Piece world for treatment!
Suppressing the vertigo in his head, Garp stomped the dirt beneath his feet and climbed back to the surface with forceful strides.
There, not far away, the golden Holy Grail hovered in the air.
It had not been drawn into the blast from Ea and was floating just beyond the destruction's edge.
However—
With the Gilgamesh's soul returned to it, the Grail seemed to trigger something.
A torrent of black mud erupted from within, overflowing and gushing outward.
The moment the black sludge touched the ground, it ignited like an infernal lake spewing from hell, radiating an aura of pure evil.
"Just like the Lord God said… the Grail has been corrupted."
Seeing this, Garp no longer hesitated.
He stepped forward, raised his left fist, and—
Boom!
Cracked the surface of the Grail with a single punch.
From afar, Saber and the others—just barely recovered—saw what Garp was doing and screamed in anguish.
"Stop!"
"Don't destroy the Grail!"
"Damn it, stop right now!"
Saber gripped Excalibur, stomped forward—
Completely ignoring her own injuries, she dashed toward Garp, desperate to stop him.
But in the next moment—
Crash!
Reflected in her eyes was the shattered Holy Grail.
Shards scattered and flew in all directions.
Saber's eyes went blank. Her foot caught on empty space, and she collapsed to the ground.
A mistake that should've never occurred to the King of Knights—
And yet it happened so naturally.
"…The Grail…"
The wish to rewind time and choose another king…
The dream to save the Kingdom of Britain…
The desire to find redemption for herself—
All of it…
Shattered in this moment.
With the Grail destroyed—
A cascade of light faded away, taking with it countless dreams and wishes.
At that moment, Garp heard the Lord God's indifferent voice ring in his ears:
[Main Mission Complete. Reward: 8,000 points.]
[First Reincarnator Mission Complete. As a new participant, receive free healing effect.]
A brilliant golden light enveloped him.
Before the stunned gazes of the Magi, the deep gashes across Garp's body rapidly healed in a matter of seconds.
Feeling the transformation, Garp quickly spoke:
"Request additional healing: Target—Monkey D. Sakura, Matou Kariya."
[Request approved. Cost: 1,000 points.]
As the Lord God's voice echoed again—
Far away in a modest residential home, Sakura and Kariya were both bathed in the same golden light.
The parasitic worms in their bodies melted like snow under sunlight.
Within mere moments, the Lord God's voice returned to Garp's ears:
[Healing successful. Commencing return.]
