Chapter 67: I Am Alucard.

Alucard bent over, his posture somewhere between a crouch and a kneel, "Do you want to speak to him?"
Alice raised her head, eyes turning to him, and she nodded. Alucard smiled at the action, chuckling occasionally, seeping out.
"A trade then."
Alice's eyes and head shifted downward.
"You saw it, didn't you?" Alucard's words continued, walking closer to her. "You saw a glimpse of it."
His eyes turned to the war beside them. Watching as Sam's neck was snapped by Edward's remaining arm, and as Edythe split Jacob's jaw into two.
"In exchange for all of their souls, you talk to what's left of Vlad for 30 minutes."
The silence commenced, only disturbed by the countless sounds of corpse meeting claws.
Then, with zero to no hesitation. "Do it," Alice said. Hands clinching, "Bring him back."

Edward turned his eyes toward the large figure of a man, something formed after the disappearance of Vlad's body.
But even though he questioned how it happened, his eyes were completely locked somewhere else; Leah. Kneeling naked, with her eyes watching those in front.
Leah turned back from the sound of Edward's steps, and absolute terror overwhelmed her mask.
She stumbled, trying with all effort to crawl away.
But in a blur, he had reached her.
His only hand shot to her neck, lifting her upward, its fingers tightening as she struggled to breathe.
Her hands raised to his arm, trying with all her strength to pull it off, but she was too weak.
Then, slowly, eye contact unbroken; she was dead.
And after Edward let go, right in the second, Leah's body dropped to the floor, and everything paused.
All movement, all thought, all time.
And all that remained was two. Alucard's laughter cut the air like a knife, only carried by Alice, who was kneeling right next to him.
"As you wish, ghoul."
Then, like a shooting star, something came soaring from heaven. Immediately landing on Alucard's raised hand, sending shockwaves with its ascent. It was a gun, one which had an abnormal length, with an Italian inscription on its side.
Alucard's arm moved, gun pointing at Edward, who was frozen.
And with the pull of a trigger.
BANG!
A large hole embraced him, taking a chunk of his skull, and even then, his crystal flesh still floated above him, the dust from his insides halting to the smallest particle. Yet, Alice felt nothing, because to her the exchange was just; it made perfect sense.
Alucard laughed, his voice growing by the second.
Then he pointed the gun toward Esme, who was frozen twenty feet farther than her son.
BANG!
Into the afterlife, she followed. And still, Alice's hand clenched tighter, and her expression didn't change.
This time, her head raised first, turning to Edythe, who was also frozen in the act of killing Victoria, right before Victoria's head could rip.
Then, as if by magic, they both turned to dust, instantly wiped from the face of existence.
"Did you see far, how far did your vision see?"
Alucard's words were more of a mock rather than a question.
Then suddenly, the world shifted, and the environment changed completely.
A second ago, they were in the middle of the woods, but now, she had returned home, the only difference being that Alucard was standing next to her. Gun pointed at Carlisle, who was frozen, with his hands still wrapping a white bandage on Bella's arm.
"Do you still wish to continue?" He didn't even give her time to respond.
BANG!
Carlisle's head was blown to bits from behind.
Then next, Alucard's hand turned to Bella, whose face was frozen with sweat.
"You choose to kill, for him."
BANG!
Bella's wound was different from the others. Her blood splattered on both Alice's and Alucard's faces, with her brain visible from the exterior of her skull.l. Alucard licked the blood that had splattered on his lips, "All of this, just for 30 minutes."
Alice's head then turned to him, unchanged, "Bring him back."
But his laughter ripped, then just like that, they were standing inside Bella's house.
Right in proportion to Carlisle's, who was sleeping on the sofa.
The gun turned to him, then.
BANG!
"Is it worth it?"
Although Alucard's question came after the click, it cut deeper than any bullet.
"Yes."
His head tilted to the side.
"And you think the boy will do the same for you?"
"No."
"Yet, you still do it, the slaughtering all you love for a creature met a month ago. A one-sided affair, have you no shame?"
"No."
And again, his laughter rose, head shaking back and forth.
Then it changed to something sinister, an expression between a smile and a frown.
"Disgusting." He said, his hand moving and lifting her face. "Lucky. If you were ugly, you'd be dead."
Then he let go, as the gun in his hand slowly vanished into mist. Alucard sighed after turning, "Okay, dipshit, time to come out.t. Death is mine. Do with the ghoul what you please." He glanced back at her, and he didn't even have to ask; he heard her thoughts clearly.y.
"You know, like Dracula… the devil, maker of widows… don't you fucking read books. I am Alucard."
Then Alice's eyes twisted backward, and the world changed.
It took a minute, or perhaps the comfort of sleep, before she rose.
And the sun embraced her face from the open window. Voices of a foreign language bless the ears.
And when her eyes turned, shifting right beside her, was a sleeping Vlad, who had one arm wrapped around her naked body.
And for the first time in a hundred years, a spark, not too far from being the cousin of tears, blessed her eyes.
But the drain of time was inevitable.
