Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: HaoDong's Power

The young man had delicate, handsome features and fair skin. His most striking characteristic, however, was his eyes—large and faintly tinted with a soft pinkish-blue hue. His neatly trimmed short hair was the same unusual color. Compared to Beibei, the most attractive peer Huo Yuhao had met before, this boy seemed even more striking. Indeed, he was the most beautiful person of Huo Yuhao's age he had ever seen. Judging from his height and build, he appeared to be around the same age as Yuhao.

Could it really be such a coincidence? Huo Yuhao's heart skipped a beat.

The boy shot him a haughty glance and barked, "Move."

"Alright," Huo Yuhao replied, quickly putting on a submissive, harmless expression as he stepped aside to let the boy pass. Deep inside, though, he was silently screaming, Please, please don't notice me!

The boy's arrogant demeanor stirred resentment among the surrounding new students. One of them snapped, "Why should we listen to you? Do you think you can just throw your weight around at the academy?"

The boy sneered. "If you don't listen, I'll throw you out. Don't believe me? Try it."

But this was Shrek Academy—none of the students here were pushovers. Some of the newcomers were immediately riled up by his attitude and stepped forward.

"Oh, we'll try alright. Let's take this outside!"

Seeing the group of students unafraid and ready to challenge him, the boy suddenly smiled. It was a dazzling smile, but the contempt and arrogance behind it only further fueled the fury of the crowd.

"Remember my name—Wang Dong. Today, I'll defeat each and every one of you," he declared, his voice dripping with disdain.

His words instantly caused a stir. No one had ever seen a fellow student be this brazen on their very first day at Shrek Academy.

"Get him!"

"Let's knock that smug face into the ground!"

As the crowd grew more riled up, Huo Yuhao sighed internally. These poor guys… they have no idea that her god-king of a father left a trace of divine consciousness in her spiritual sea. Forget a one-on-one duel—even if they all attacked together, if she sensed danger, the Sea God himself could descend and wipe them all out with a single strike.

Yes, the person before them was none other than the disguised female protagonist of the original story, Tang Wutong—Huo Yuhao's future wife, the Dragon-Butterfly Douluo and the Butterfly Goddess. Her alias now: Wang Dong (or Wang Dong'er in her feminine form). She was the beloved daughter of Tang San, the Sea God, and Xiao Wu, the Asura Sword's scabbard.

But in Huo Yuhao's mind, a deeper suspicion lingered.

Tang Wutong. By name alone, she was the little phoenix born of Tang San and Xiao Wu. But was she really just their daughter?

Perhaps her true name should have been Tang Xuetong.

While he didn't deny their familial connection—her martial soul being the Goddess of Light Butterfly was suspicious. Since when could a rabbit mutate into a butterfly? Or a hammer plus a rabbit equal an insect? That would be like crossbreeding a plant, a mammal, and a tool to produce… a flying insect.

Even Approaching Science could make a thirty-episode special out of this anomaly.

Her other two martial souls— the inherited Clear Sky Hammer and her father's divine seat soul—weren't surprising. But that first martial soul, the Goddess of Light Butterfly, was the real oddity.

A goddess? Light-attribute? Winged? It sparked a host of associations.

Some devout followers of the Sea God might call it divine power. But if Tang San could bestow miracles, why didn't he give Tang Wulin a dragon-type martial soul instead? It would've made absorbing the Golden Dragon King's essence far less painful.

The original story never explained what became of Qian Renxue, the former Angel God. But with Tang San's ruthlessness and duplicity, would he really allow a former goddess who once stood atop the divine realm to remain alive and plotting in secret on the continent? Many of the insightful within the Douluo World believed that her divine seat had shattered, and she had likely been sealed or imprisoned for life.

Her leftover angelic energy wouldn't be left to waste. It most likely got absorbed by the Asura Sword scabbard, which may have caused the mutation in Tang Wutong's martial soul.

And as records showed, a child's martial soul often inherited the stronger of the parents' souls. Compared to the Blue Silver Emperor and Clear Sky Hammer, the Soft Bone Rabbit—no matter how rare—was leagues behind.

So where did this top-tier Light Butterfly Goddess soul come from?

Qian Renxue, likely imprisoned on Sea God Island, might have an answer.

That's why Huo Yuhao privately preferred to call her Tang Xuetong.

A phoenix born of Tang San and Qian Renxue, raised in the womb of Xiao Wu—what a twisted joke of fate.

If Qian Renxue really was imprisoned all these years, still a virgin goddess at that, and yet her divine essence was used by Tang San to create a child… It was enough to make even a fallen angel curse the heavens.

Back in Yuhao's mind, Bibi Dong—his mental companion—was watching Wang Dong with a deeply complex expression.

If that girl really was a fusion of Tang San, Xiao Wu, and Qian Renxue's divine legacy… that made her Bibi Dong's granddaughter.

"Don't overthink it," Yuhao reminded her gently. "No matter what kind of soul she has, she's still their daughter."

"…Is Xue'er… still alive?" For all her strength, Bibi Dong couldn't hide the anguish in her voice. Memories of her daughter, likely imprisoned for ten thousand years, brought her to her knees in tears.

"If she's alive, I'll find her. I promise." Yuhao sat beside her within their shared spiritual sea, trying to comfort her.

If Qian Renxue was still alive, she was almost certainly being held on Sea God Island—Tang San's base of power. Without overwhelming strength, setting foot there was suicide.

"You need to accelerate your cultivation," Bibi Dong said, wiping her tears. "I'll help you form your fourth and fifth soul rings based on your conceptual blueprints."

"There's not enough time…" Yuhao murmured. Since crossing over to this world, apart from the years spent by his ailing mother's side, he had done nothing but train, recruit allies, and build power. Even working with evil soul masters was a price he was willing to pay if it meant one day being strong enough to stand toe-to-toe with the God King Tang San.

"It's a pity…" he said, glancing at Wang Dong. "In this life, I can't get close to her. The four-soul fusion technique is out of reach. So is the power of HaoDong."

In the original timeline, that synergy—HaoDong Power—was how Yuhao overcame the bottlenecks of cultivating an ultimate martial soul.

But now, any close interaction with Wang Dong might expose his identity as a Chosen Son of Fate to Tang San. Even Bibi Dong's divine consciousness could be detected.

"Yuhao."

Just then, Bibi Dong approached with renewed determination.

"True martial soul fusion requires perfect complementarity. But even though my physical body is gone, my divine consciousness can still link with your spiritual power. This creates a form of spiritual fusion."

"Once we're spiritually fused, your body can channel Rakshasa Divine Power to enhance your cultivation. The fusion of both our energies will make you progress even faster than with HaoDong Power."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's do it!" Yuhao was ecstatic. This was his miracle amidst the chaos.

"Well, spiritual fusion is actually…" Bibi Dong's cheeks flushed as she hesitated. Though she could read his thoughts through their link, she could also choose to block her own from him.

"Your Majesty, don't leave me hanging after dropping such a bombshell," Yuhao groaned.

"It's… it's actually… divine… divine intercourse…"

Her voice was barely a whisper—but in the spiritual sea, Yuhao heard it loud and clear.

"Divine… intercourse?" Yuhao froze, but quickly caught on. And being the cheeky man he was, his imagination ran wild.

As he looked at her with growing mischief, Bibi Dong pinched his ear. "Don't get any ideas, brat! I'm just a fragment of divine will."

A complete fragment of divine consciousness, Yuhao thought with a smirk.

"How about we give it a try?" he opened his arms invitingly.

"I regret telling you already," Bibi Dong muttered, blushing—but with an expression that was strangely alluring.

Thus, in the vast palace of their spiritual sea, a man and a woman stood facing each other. The woman hesitated, then stepped forward and gently wrapped her arms around the boy's waist. In an instant, he grew into a tall young man and returned the embrace.

"Gentler, will you?" Bibi Dong flushed, scolding his rough movements.

Yuhao chuckled. Their spiritual and divine energies naturally intertwined. Though not yet fully merged, their powers began a delicate cycle of fusion.

You in me, and I in you.

Even this shallow bond brought them both a clarity and euphoria. It was obvious: if they fully fused at the soul level, their cultivation speed would skyrocket. And this was only the beginning. The fusion of spiritual power, soul power, and divine essence was bound to create effects far beyond mere training.

Only Bibi Dong knew Huo Yuhao's true soul power level—Soul Emperor.

If they could sustain this state, she had full confidence she could help him reach Titled Douluo status before age eighteen. And she herself could return to her peak.

"We did it! We actually did it!" Yuhao was overjoyed, like a child recovering a lost treasure.

Bibi Dong, still held tightly in his arms, resisted the pleasure that came from

their intimate bond. But with a teasing smile, she whispered in his ear:

"Let this fusion be named… HaoDong Power."
