Chapter 7 - Chapter seven (Crushing on her)

~007

~ OLIVIA

"Good day, mum."

"Good day my cutie. How was school today?"

"All good mum. It was stress- free."

I said, smiling really hard.

"Hmmmm.. so tell me, who was that cute dude that dropped you off just now?"

"Uhmmm... I... Actually it was.."

"C'mon you know you could tell mama anything. Is he your boyfriend?"

" Then?"

"Well, it's just someone special."

"Special? Tell me more. My ears are itching."

"Oh gosh mum! I'm really famished. What's for lunch?"

"Well, spaghetti sauce and cheese."

"Oh well! Can I have some? Pleaseeeeee.."

"Nope."

My face fell in disappointment when she said I wouldn't be having some.

"Why?"

"Not until you've gone upstairs and freshen up. Then we can talk about lunch."

"Oh mum. I'm so hungry."

I grumbled as I ran upstairs.

~ BRIAN

I was thinking about Olivia throughout the ride home that I didn't even realise when we got home.

"Sir, we're here already."

Matthew woke me from my thoughts.

"Oh really? So soon. That was quite a fast one."

I alighted from the car and I was welcomed with a very pleasant surprise. Guess what????

My cousin bro decided to visit us and that was WOW! I was extremely happy.

Damien was my cousin brother. We were of the same age but not actually the same month. You could describe him as a tall, broad shoulder guy with a very attractive muscular physique.

His abs could drive a girl crazy.

Thank goodness I wasn't a girl, otherwise the unthinkable could have happened. He had round shaped pink lips that were still intact as at when I saw him the last time. He had this green emerald eyes that were nothing to perfect coz it was an understatement.

He still had his silky brown curly hair like before. I think it's just his voice that changed. Yeah, his voice. It became more deeper and broader.

Wait a minute...was I really saying all these? Oh goodness. Thank God I am not a girl.

"Hey bro, xup? I've Really missed you."

"All good. How've you been?"

"Cool. You really look more handsome than before."

"Of course, I should. At least..."

"Welcome home, son."

"Good day mum. Where's dad?"

"Well, he had some urgent meeting to catch up with. He'll be back before 7."

"Ok, then. Bro, let's go up to my room."

"Sure. So how was school today?"

"Hmmmm...Half- hectic, half- amazing."

"How? I don't get."

"Someone made my day amazing."

I said, smiling as I thought about Olivia.

"What sex?"

'God knows what he must be thinking.'

"Well it's a girl. A very beautiful one at that."

"I knew it, bro. I knew it. Brian you haven't changed a bit huh?"

"Changed? How?"

"You still chase things under skirts. Don't you?"

"Hell no! Why on earth would I do that?"

"Then how else would a girl make your day amazing?"

"You see... There's this girl I've been secretly crushing on for few months now. She's actually a close friend. My bestie, to be precise. I like her and I want to tell her but I don't know how to go about it."

"Oh, I see... So you need some advice form me, huh?"

"Uhmmm... Kind of.₦

I said, already taking off my clothes and dashing into the bathroom to freshen up.

**Dinner time**

"Son, your dad and I will be going on a vacation to Canada tomorrow."

Mum said, in between our meal.

"Yeah. To spend quality time with each other."

Mum smiled and Dad stole a quick kiss.

"You really need that. Don't forget to do crazy things together, okay?"

"Brian?"

"What? I was just voicing out my thoughts."

"Hmmmm."

"Is there a problem, Dee?"

"Oh no. Actually nothing aunt. The food just got in my throat."

I shot Damien a stare and he smirked. I knew more than to believe that silly lie.
