Chapter 367 - Chapter 367: Fly Up Into the Sky

After Jinlin appeared, the huge body began to roam among the Iwagakure ninja.

For a moment the destructive power was maxed out — and that wasn't all. The tunnels Jinlin had dug became the best shortcut for Konoha ninja to launch their raid.

Following Jinlin's path, a group of Konoha shinobi also stormed into the interior.

Tōshirō and the others who were commanding saw this and their faces turned very grim.

"Yabachi, send all the poisonous bees into action — charge into the Konoha positions."

"Han, Roshi, be ready to move."

The situation on the battlefield was worse than he had imagined.

The Konoha side hadn't been harmed by the poisonous-bee swarms; instead, an unknown Fire Release technique had inflicted heavy losses on the bee swarms.

Originally Tōshirō had not intended to use the tailed beasts on the battlefield — after all, doing so carried risks for his own people.

But given the current circumstances, he had no choice but to use them.

When Yabachi heard that, he nearly swore out loud.

Were there any bees left for him to deploy? Besides the Poison Bee King sitting by his side, all the other bees were already at the front.

Even the elite members of his Kamizuru clan had rushed forward and were controlling the bee swarms.

Han and Roshi stood at the rear of the battlefield; upon hearing Tōshirō's command they immediately sprang into action.

Gekko Chizan's insect-eye had been watching the battlefield closely. The enemy jinchūriki had just started moving, and he was already at Tsunade's side.

"The enemy jinchūriki has started to move."

"Any good ideas, Commander Tsunade?"

Tsunade sent a Konoha shinobi flying with a single punch — that poor Iwagakure ninja was sent straight to the afterlife, or perhaps to hell.

Gekko Chizan looked at that miserable fellow and couldn't help but shake his head — being sent away by Tsunade's punch looked like a miserable fate indeed.

"What other way is there? Fight!"

"Aren't you the one with many snakes? And doesn't your Flying Thunder God let you teleport the tailed beasts away?"

"Hurry! I trust you!"

Tsunade looked at Gekko Chizan expectantly — after all, everyone in the village knew what had happened on the Land of Rivers battlefield.

Even Minato had explicitly said that Gekko Chizan's use of the Flying Thunder God technique there had been impressive.

Transferring a tailed beast was not impossible.

On the battlefield, if you could teleport a tailed beast away even for a short time, the impact on the battle would be enormous.

"Ah, I'm just a martyr of hard work."

"If I go down heroically, Tsunade, remember to bring my glorious deeds back to the village to sing about."

Gekko Chizan put on a lamenting expression, looking like a warrior going off to die and never return.

Then he disappeared.

Tsunade spat at him and cursed: "Heroic my foot — you're not heroic at all!"

"You little bastard — you run faster than anyone!"

This war was far bloodier than previous ones. With all of Iwagakure mobilized and paired with the poisonous-bee swarms, the pressure on Konoha was indescribable.

Tsunade understood clearly what would happen if two tailed beasts appeared on the battlefield now.

So she could only place her hopes on Gekko Chizan. Unconsciously, this valiant one of the Three Sannin had grown increasingly to respect Gekko Chizan.

If Orochimaru were here, he would certainly be delighted and say: "My disciple! Excellent teachers raise excellent students! So outstanding!"

As Han and Roshi charged into the battlefield, Jinlin — positioned in the middle of the Iwagakure formation — became the first victim.

"Roshi, that snake is yours!"

"Got it!"

A crimson body erupted, and a thick hand clenched into a fist.

Jinlin, still completely berserk, suddenly felt an aura that made her heart tremble — and in the next second a crimson figure had already appeared in front of her.

"A tailed beast?"

"Damn! Chizan! Help!"

Jinlin instantly lost her swagger. Although she was a golden python that had cultivated sage techniques, famed for her powerful body, she wasn't stupid.

What kind of terrifying existence was a tailed beast? She didn't think she stood a chance against one.

The Four-Tails Son Goku once again appeared on the battlefield. Both fists swung like hammers, and he opened with a flurry of combination punches at Jinlin.

"Crack…"

"Damn it!"

The crisp sound of shattering rang out and countless crystal fragments fell.

"Oh? The snake was even wearing armor? That's a bold move — interesting."

"To withstand my fists is somewhat impressive, but alas, the armor is gone."

Roshi, rare praise in his mouth, then swung his fist again — but in the next second the scene before his eyes suddenly changed.

"Huh? Where did the person go?"

"And what is this?"

Roshi stared at a blue expanse, a little baffled — but in the next second he felt a rapid drop.

Only then did he realize that he had somehow been sent up into the sky and was now falling.

"Damn, Konoha ghosts?"

The village had studied the Konoha stars' techniques; both used a time-space ninjutsu called Flying Thunder God.

He had never expected to experience it first-hand.

"Tsk tsk tsk, Chizan, your trick is indeed very good."

"Fly up high, then teleport Son Goku over — if he fell, those Iwagakure people would be in trouble."

Chōmei's voice sounded — just now Gekko Chizan had used a Crystal Release to craft a giant crystal bird, forcefully flying several thousand meters into the sky, and then using the Flying Thunder God twice: one teleport to get beside Jinlin, and another to bring the Four-Tails Son Goku up into the sky.

Now Chōmei had spread his wings, hovering in midair and watching Son Goku plummet rapidly.

"This is nothing — Jinlin has already started moving."

"Son Goku will take a while to fall; let's go deal with Kokuō."

At this moment Jinlin had already re-entered the earth and was frantically digging toward the underground.

She bore Gekko Chizan's seal kunai on her body — it was clear she had received Chizan's order and started tunneling away from the battlefield.

That was exactly what Gekko Chizan had intended.

One goes up into the sky, the other down underground.

After all, they weren't next to a desert — he couldn't, like before, throw someone far away into the sands. They had to make do with what they had.

Seeing their tailed beast appear and then immediately disappear, the Iwagakure ninja were stunned.

Tōshirō reacted quickly; he immediately suspected it was the work of one of the Konoha stars.

"Han! Explode your speed!"

"Everyone else, find those two bastards!"

"Roshi will be fine; he was probably just teleported elsewhere."

"Everyone else — full attack!"

Han, after receiving the order, let out a roar.

The pure-white Five-Tails Kokuō appeared.

But in the very next second two huge water cannons struck him, sending up massive plumes of water.

"Water Release! Iron Cannonball!"

"I am the toad spirit sage of Mount Myōboku, the so-called..."

"Shut up! You bastard! I'll throw you down if you're not careful!"
