Standing atop the Tao Dragon's head, Ace looked at Orm, one of the Three Beasts, and smiled coldly. "Is that all you've got?"
As Ace's voice faded, the Tao Dragon swung a claw, unleashing a fierce Fusion Bolt that shot rapidly toward Orm.
"Boom!"
But at that moment, an ethereal shadow flashed by. An invisible attack surged out, directly blocking the Tao Dragon's Fusion Bolt and saving Orm.
"Finally coming out, are you?"
Ace smiled, then waved his hand sharply. "Then let's see whose speed is faster."
Following Ace's gesture, the long-waiting Aerodactyl shot out. With a gust of wind, it trailed several afterimages in the air as it chased the rapidly moving shadow.
"Thump, thump, thump..."
A continuous series of muffled impacts rang out. Ash and his friends, who had arrived, tried to track the combatants. However, the speed of the two was such that even Ace's dynamic vision couldn't keep up, let alone Ash and his friends.
"Boom!"
A thunderous sound erupted. Aerodactyl was sent flying back. A whirlwind encircled it, counteracting the momentum. Rapidly flapping its wings, Aerodactyl quickly stabilized itself.
As Aerodactyl was forced back, the Pokémon it was battling was finally revealed.
It was a bipedal Pokémon resembling an alien. Looking at Deoxys, Ash and his friends frowned slightly, sensing the pressure emanating from it.
"Pikachu, Thunderbolt!"
"Charizard, Flamethrower!"
"Blasty, Hydro Pump!"
Enemies were enemies. Ash and his friends wouldn't worry about fair play. Three Pokémon charged out, and three attacks shot towards Deoxys in a triangular formation.
As the attacks approached, an aurora flashed. Deoxys transformed into its Speed Form, instantly dodging all three attacks.
Seizing the opportunity, Aerodactyl charged out, opening its massive mouth, its serrated teeth aiming for a bite on Deoxys.
Deoxys quickly shifted into its Defense Form. Aerodactyl's bite did not cause significant damage to Deoxys.
Conversely, electricity flashed across Deoxys's body. A Thunderbolt directly struck Aerodactyl, shocking it backward.
"Be careful! The opponent can change forms!"
Blue saw this and shouted loudly. "Suppress it! Don't let it change into its fast form!"
"Got it!"
Ash yelled. His Venusaur charged out, shooting several Vine Whips that lunged to bind Deoxys.
"Dong!"
A muffled thud. A Banette shielded Deoxys, intercepting Venusaur's Vine Whips.
While Banette blocked the attack, Deoxys once again shifted into its Speed Form and fled the area.
"We won't let you get away that easily."
Sird emerged from a passage, glancing at Orm. "Let's work together and stop them."
Orm nodded, throwing a Poké Ball. Two Shuckle and a Jumpluff emerged, immediately charging toward Ash and his friends.
Sird also tossed out two Poké Balls. A Persian and a Starmie rushed out to rescue the Banette, which was bound by the Vine Whips.
"Freezing Thunderflame."
Ace's voice rang out. The Tao Dragon inhaled deeply, then opened its mouth and blasted out a Freezing Thunderflame, sweeping across the opponents' Pokémon.
"Shuckle!"
The two Shuckle positioned themselves in front of the other Pokémon. Their incredible defensive capabilities allowed them to withstand the Tao Dragon's Freezing Thunderflame without falling!
"Heh heh, we meet again."
Sird looked at Ace standing on the Tao Dragon's head and sneered. "I wasn't your match before, but now, that may not be the case!"
As Sird's voice fell, Ace felt a gust of wind hit him.
Ace knew clearly that Deoxys had shifted its attack target to him!
"Clang!"
A sharp, metallic sound. A Metagross shielded Ace. Deoxys's punch slammed into Metagross's body.
Metagross looked disdainful. That level of attack was barely an itch, and it felt like the force was too weak.
"Don't think you can break through our defenses!"
Gardevoir also appeared beside Ace, pointing its hand at Deoxys. A massive ball of psychic energy formed from Psychic instantly shot toward Deoxys.
Deoxys realized the danger and quickly dodged the attack.
But this was the moment Ace was waiting for. He smiled coldly, then forcefully thumped his chest. "Want to run? Too late!"
Three beams of light shot out from Ace's chest.
Aerodactyl, Gardevoir, and Metagross were also enveloped in bright light.
Sharp-eyed observers could see that the three beams of light originated from the Evolution Stones embedded in Aerodactyl's collar, Gardevoir's pendant, and Metagross's ankle bracelet.
The two lights connected, and the three Pokémon instantly burst into the light of Mega Evolution.
"They can evolve again?!"
Blue was stunned. As Professor Oak's chosen expert on evolution, this scene was one Blue had never witnessed before.
The light faded. The three Pokémon, now in their Mega-Evolved state, instantly locked their eyes onto the ethereal shadow.
Mega Aerodactyl was the first to act, furiously flapping its wings. A sonic boom erupted, and in Ace's vision, Aerodactyl's outline instantly vanished.
Deoxys, which was moving rapidly, widened its eyes. It could sense that the creature which previously could only barely keep up with its speed was now threatening to overtake it!
Mega Aerodactyl watched the rapidly approaching Deoxys, a fierce grin on its face. Its inherent brutal nature was unleashed. All it could think about was how to tear this opponent to shreds!
It suddenly opened its mouth and fired a Hyper Beam.
The dark-green Hyper Beam quickly caught up to Deoxys, instantly shattering half of its body.
Suddenly losing half its body, Deoxys came to a halt.
Ash and his friends briefly looked over, seeing the shattered Deoxys, and a hint of surprise flashed in their eyes.
But they were quickly disappointed.
The light of Regenerative Self-Heal shone. Deoxys's destroyed half was restored to its normal state in the blink of an eye.
"I expected that. You... can't escape."
Ace smiled faintly and snapped his fingers.
Instantly, Mega Metagross appeared next to Deoxys, its four arms firmly grasping Deoxys's four limbs.
The moment Deoxys was immobilized, Mega Gardevoir's Future Sight descended from the void.
A flurry of psychic energy spheres precisely struck the energy core on Deoxys's chest.
Deoxys's eyes were wide. It tried to struggle, but with its core damaged, it grew weaker and weaker, completely unable to break free from Mega Metagross's hold!
