Chapter 133 - Chapter 133: Possessed by Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit, the Duel That Must Be Won

By the seaside, the duel between Alexis and Blair continued with palpable tension.

[Alexis Rhodes LP: 4000]

[Blair Flannigan LP: 4000]

Although their Life Points were equal, Blair had already completed her chain. At this moment, Alexis was gradually being pushed into a corner.

"My turn, draw!"

Alexis drew the top card of her deck. Looking at the card in her hand, she let out a small sigh of relief.

"The counterattack begins now, Blair!"

"I summon Cyber Gymnast!"

A dark-skinned woman with a muscular build wearing a gymnastics leotard appeared on Alexis's side of the field.

[Cyber Gymnast]

[Level: 4]

[ATK: 800 / DEF: 1800]

"I activate the effect of Cyber Gymnast! once per turn, by discarding one card from my hand, I can destroy one face-up Attack Position monster my opponent controls!"

Alexis sent a card from her hand to the Graveyard and shouted, "Go!"

Cyber Gymnast gave a low cry and leaped toward the enemy. With a single strike, Maiden in Love was shattered into fragments.

"What?" Blair's face contorted in shock as she watched her monster being sent to the Graveyard.

With Maiden in Love gone, the Equip Spell Cupid's Kiss also followed its master to the Graveyard. Now, the Trap card

Penalty Game! remained on Blair's field, looking quite redundant.

"It seems that while your Maiden in Love has a strong offense, she is surprisingly fragile," Alexis said, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth. "Love isn't something that succeeds just because you talk about it, you know."

"You..." Blair gritted her teeth, glaring at Alexis in a fury.

"Battle! Cyber Gymnast, Cyber Prima, and Blade Skater, attack the player directly!" Alexis issued the command without mercy.

The three women on the field leaped toward Blair simultaneously. Under the weight of the triple attack, Blair's Life Points were drastically reduced. Her small body was sent flying by the force of the impact, and she tumbled across the sand before coming to a halt.

"When Cyber Prima attacks the player directly, her attack power increases by 500 points!" Alexis added, waving her hand.

[Blair Flannigan: LP 4000 → 100]

"Ugh..." Blair clutched her side and gritted her teeth as she crawled up from the ground.

In an instant, her entire defense had been shattered, and her Life Points had been whittled down to a mere 100. She realized that Alexis was indeed a formidable opponent.

"So the Queen of Obelisk Blue... is actually this powerful..." Blair murmured under her breath, but her eyes still burned with the light of someone who refused to back down. "But I won't lose that easily! For Jaden... My turn..."

Alexis showed a hint of surprise when she saw that Blair still had the courage to continue. Blair had only 100 Life Points left, and her field was completely empty. How could she possibly have any chance of winning?

"Jaden..."

Blair closed her eyes, her fingers resting on the top of her deck, silently chanting Jaden Yuki's name in her heart. This was her final draw. If she failed here...

She didn't want to lose! She didn't want to leave this place not if it meant leaving Jaden behind!

"Draw!"

A flash of light erupted.

At the exact moment Blair drew her card, a pale blue wisp of ghost fire streaked toward her from the distance.

Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit was fleeing in a panic. Glancing back at the Masked HERO Koga that was pursuing it relentlessly, the spirit suddenly noticed the two girls dueling on the shore.

"There's no other way!"

Hardening its heart, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit plunged straight into Blair. To escape the Supreme King, it had to hide.

Little girl, I'll lend you my power for a while...

Boom!

The light surged into Blair's body. Her pupils shrank. An indescribable sensation instantly flooded her mind and body.

"Eh? This... what is this feeling?"

Blair looked around blankly. She could feel that something had entered her body just a moment ago. Then, she looked at the card she had just drawn.

[Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit]

[Level: 3]

[ATK: 0 / DEF: 1800]

"What kind of card is this!?" Blair felt her mind beginning to crumble. When had a card like this been slipped into her deck? Its attack power was zero! And as for the effect, it was written in characters she couldn't even read!

"How can this be... everything rested on this one draw..." Blair lowered her head in dejection, her heart drowning in despair.

Brat, I'm lending you my strength, so don't you dare disappoint me!

If you lose, I won't have the power left to keep resisting the Supreme King!

Seeing Blair beginning to lose her will to fight, Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit grew anxious. It spread its hands behind Blair's back.

Listen, hurry up and let me use your body, or we really are going to lose! Hey, you brat, can't you hear me!?

The spirit shouted desperately, and when it saw Jaden Yuki appear on the cliff in the distance, it nearly burst into tears. It had possessed someone who had absolutely no Spirit Power.

It seemed there was only one choice: forced manipulation.

Ghost Ogre's eyes flashed with a blood-red light.

Fine... brat, you go to sleep for a while. I absolutely cannot lose this duel.

Dark energy began to billow out from Blair's body. Even Alexis, who could not see Duel Spirits, could feel the atmosphere shift and turn cold. An ominous premonition washed over her.

"What's going on? Hey! Blair, are you okay?" Alexis asked nervously, watching the silent girl.

"Ah... of course I'm fine. Let's continue the duel, Alexis Rhodes."

'Blair' slowly raised her head. A dangerous red light flickered in her eyes.

"Blair?" Alexis took a step back, unable to believe her eyes. The girl's very aura had changed. What on earth was happening?

"Oh my, it seems that spirit made a grave mistake in its haste to escape," the phantom of Yubel appeared beside Jaden Yuki, smiling as she watched the duel on the coast.

"Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit... These spirits from a future era can draw out unknown powers once they possess a host," Jaden frowned, sliding Masked HERO Koga back into his deck. "Even though Alexis has the advantage on the field right now... a Ghost Spirit isn't that easy to deal with."

Jaden leaped from the cliff, landing steadily on a rock by the shore.

"Jaden?" Alexis couldn't hide her surprise at his sudden appearance. "Why are you here?"

"Never mind that for now, Alexis. You must win this duel."

Jaden looked at Alexis. The dull golden glow in his eyes made Alexis's body freeze. His words carried a weight that made it impossible to resist or refuse.

"I... I understand."

Nodding weakly, Alexis looked back at the girl on the field, who was clearly no longer herself. She vaguely realized that the nature of this duel had changed. If even Jaden took this so seriously, then she simply had to win!
