Chapter 132 - Chapter 132: What, You Want a Taste of Called by the Grave?

However, Alexis's quiet murmurs did not reach Jaden Yuki.

At that moment, Jaden was busy tracking a blue will-o'-the-wisp that was darting rapidly toward the coastline.

"Elemental HERO Sunrise!"

As he gave chase, Jaden snapped open his Duel Disk and slapped a card onto the monster zone.

A dark golden light flickered in Jaden's eyes. Instantly, the crimson-armored form of Sunrise materialized into reality.

Boom!

A powerful pressure erupted, causing the fleeing ghost fire to wobble and sway as if it might vanish at any moment.

"Hey, you might as well show yourself, Ghost Ogre," Jaden said coldly. "You won't escape from me."

The Supreme King's aura radiating from him had already locked onto the shivering blue flame.

"I can't get away, can I?"

A faint, girlish voice drifted from the blue light. The flame gradually dissipated, revealing a white-haired spirit girl floating in the air.

She wore a grey kimono in a retro Japanese style, with various types of weapons tucked partially into its folds. Her twin-tails were messy, and deep dark circles sat under her red eyes, giving her a gloomy, shadowed appearance. Most striking of all were the demon-like horns protruding from her forehead.

Floating beside her was a pure white spirit that resembled a rabbit. Its blood-red eyes stared at Jaden with visible nerves.

"The Supreme King?"

Her clogs clicked as her feet touched the ground. She took a breath to steady her fear and looked at the cold expression on the boy's face.

"Listen, even though you were the one who brought me to this era, I have no intention of being driven by the Supreme King..."

Ghost Ogre grit her teeth. Despite her obvious fear, her desire to resist was clear. However, as a low-level monster with zero attack points, she couldn't help but tremble when facing the presence of the Supreme King, regardless of how powerful her special abilities were.

She crouched low, her eyes constantly searching for an escape route.

Seeing this, Jaden flicked his wrist. He slotted a crimson trap card into his Duel Disk.

"Skill Drain!"

"Waaah!"

As the trap card flared with light, Ghost Ogre felt her strength instantly siphoned away. She collapsed to her knees, hands pressed against the dirt, her body suddenly weak and listless. Beside her, the white rabbit ghost slumped to the ground, motionless.

"Where are the other five cards hiding?" Jaden walked up to Ghost Ogre, his eyes cold as he looked down at the shivering girl.

"Ngh..." Ghost Ogre grit her teeth and shook her head repeatedly. "I... I don't know."

"You don't know?" Jaden squatted down suspiciously. He flipped over a card in his hand with a half-smile. "Would you like a taste of Raigeki?"

Raigeki?

The girl's face paled as she stared in horror at the card in his hand. "I I really don't know!"

Even so, Ghost Ogre remained stubborn. So be it if it was Raigeki. At worst, she would just be sent to the Graveyard. She was a ghost anyway; what was there to fear?

"It seems you'd like to follow up that Raigeki with a taste of this," Jaden noted, seeing her resolve.

He flipped over a second card. The moment Ghost Ogre saw it, her expression shifted into pure terror.

"You how do you have that card?!"

It was none other than Called by the Grave.

The Hand Trap killer.

Cold sweat poured down her forehead. Ghost Ogre instantly lost all her bravado.

"I... I only know where Ghost Belle is!" she squealed. "Ghost Belle is hiding in an abandoned dorm in that forest! You can find her if you go look for yourself!"

Jaden nodded with satisfaction as Ghost Ogre finally turned honest. He tucked the two cards back into his deck. Knowing the location of even one was progress.

"And what is your purpose in coming to Duel Academy? Are you here for me?"

Jaden followed up with his second question. He didn't believe these six spirits had escaped for no reason. With such strong intent, they were clearly up to something.

"That... I don't know..." Ghost Ogre's eyes darted away, a clear sign she was lying.

Jaden began to flip Called by the Grave again. Ghost Ogre panicked instantly, screaming at the top of her lungs, "I remember! I remember! It was Ash Blossom! Ash Blossom told us to come!"

"She said she wanted to test if the Supreme King was really as powerful as the legends say! That's why she had us go around causing trouble!"

Ash Blossom?

The image of a girl with dog ears wearing a white kimono surfaced in Jaden's mind. He sighed, rubbing his forehead.

The Ghost Girls.

Ash Blossom, Ghost Reaper, Ghost Ogre, Ghost Belle, Ghost Mourner, and Ghost Sister.

These six cards all possessed the appearance of cute girls but held the immense power of Hand Trap monsters. In the OCG environment, they all had glorious histories. Even now, Ash Blossom remained a super-staple card indispensable to almost every deck.

But when it came to the spirits of these cards, they were six distinct brands of trouble. And the biggest trouble of them all was likely Ash Blossom.

"Can you spare my life now?" Ghost Ogre asked cautiously, watching Jaden as he stood in deep thought.

"As long as you listen, I won't make things difficult for you," Jaden replied coldly.

He deactivated Skill Drain on his Duel Disk. He needed the power of the Ghost Girls to deal with the battles that lay in the future. Threatening her had mostly been a scare tactic.

"Alright, come back with me."

Jaden reached out his hand, intending to turn Ghost Ogre back into a card.

However, in that exact moment, the white rabbit spirit that had been playing dead behind her suddenly snapped its eyes open. To Jaden's surprise, it grabbed Ghost Ogre's hand and rocketed into the distance.

"Hey, hey, Jaden. You let her get away," Yubel's spectral form appeared beside him, her tone teasing. "I didn't think you could make a mistake like that."

"Who said I let her escape?"

Jaden shot a glance at Yubel and pointed to the Spell and Trap zone on his left arm.

Quick-Play Spell: Mask Change!

"I already used Sunrise to transform into Masked HERO Koga and sent him after them. It's impossible for Ghost Ogre to escape my grasp."

Seeing the confident, calculating smile on Jaden's face, Yubel arched an eyebrow and sighed helplessly.

"It seems those spirits will get their wish soon enough."

"They are about to witness exactly how terrifying the legendary Supreme King truly is."
