Miu’s small hands curled into the hem of my skirt as he tugged to get my attention. “Noa, his eyes look like Mister’s.”

“Mhm, he’s Mister Kyle’s older brother,” I explained.

Eye color aside, the brothers didn’t look particularly similar to each other. Unlike Kyle’s cold and calculating aura that penetrated every facet of his appearance, the older Leonard brother was the very picture of upper-societal grace. A faint smile painted his face as he graciously greeted each of the surrounding nobles with a polite wave. My brow creased as I took in his features analytically—was the age difference between the brothers smaller than I had assumed? The Duke looked no older than thirty. I took advantage of the situation to examine his features in more detail—it was my first time seeing a noble of such high stature in the flesh, after all, and he was Kyle’s brother to boot—until I found my gaze being squarely returned.
