Luckily, the uniform overalls I was wearing made movement way easier than it would have been in my cumbersome dress. After carefully exiting the train, I moved to join Kyle, only to be halted as he gestured for me not to come closer.

“What are you doing?” I asked as he rattled the locked iron door. Instead of answering with words, he produced his revolver from its hidden holster before shooting the lock in one fluid motion. The gunshot was muffled by a silencer as it flew through the air, piercing the gate with ease and causing the lock to fall uselessly to the ground.
