The young miner frowned in concentration. “They must have started just over two years ago—two springs past, to be precise. If I remember correctly, that was the first time my father had been sent into the uncharted territories. I only began work recently myself, so I’m afraid that’s all I know.”
“Somewhere between two and two and a half years ago fits our timeline,” Kyle confirmed.
As always, the detective was correct. It was just over two years ago that Adrian and Eleanora had put the final touches on the Replica Project. With my arrival throwing a wrench into things, their progress had halted, and Adrian must have begun secretly squirreling away magic ore to continue the project alone.
“Have there been any whispers about where the ore is taken once it leaves the mountains?” Kyle continued questioning.
“I can’t say for certain…” the young miner said hesitantly, seemingly genuine in his inability to help any further.
