Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Meet Your Teammates!!

I went to the same training field that Naruto and the others would usually go to. I was supposed to meet up with my new team there. From what I read in the paper I was given, it wasn't going to be anybody I recognized. Though that was to be expected, apparently I was in the same class as Neji and Rock Lee so I'm not sure who else was even in that class. I couldn't name a single other person from that class.

Anyway, by the time I had gotten there, my other two teammates seemed to had already arrived. The first was a guy with brown spiked hair wearing a blue jumpsuit who had a stern expression. The other was a girl with blonde hair who was wearing a light blue dress and a white jacket. When I arrived, neither of them seemed to be talking, so we just sat in silence as we waited for the sensei. That was fine with me, I thought it was awkward to hangout with a bunch of kids anyway considering how old I technically was after living to other lives already.

We continued to sit in silence for quite a while, and still the sensei hadn't shown up yet. It had gotten to the point that it was well past the time given for us to meet, he was running extremely late at this point. The first person I thought of when I saw how late our sensei was, was a certain masked ninja, but I knew our sensei couldn't be Kakashi because the name on the paper was different.

"Um? Do you guys think that something is wrong with our sensei? There's no way a Jonin of the Hidden Leaf would be late to a meeting maybe something happened to him?" The brown hair kid said, finally breaking the silence.

"U-um, I don't know what could be delaying him." The girl shyly said so quiet that I could barely even hear her.

"You're right it is unusual. Maybe he's intentionally trying to be late." I said without really thinking.

"Huh? Why would he do that?" The boy asked.

"Maybe he's observing us from a distance to take our measure before he shows up." I said remembering some of the things Kakashi used to do.

"R-Really? Do you think he's watching us right now?" The girl asked.

"Do you think this is some kind of test?" The boy asked.

"Huh? I don't know it was just a guess." I said, afraid that if I wasn't careful I'd become the guy people try to get answers from. "But then again it could be a test." I said after I considered it for a second. After all, the fact that he wanted us to meet at the training grounds suggested that we'd be put through some sort of test.

"Really? What kind of test do you think it is?" The kid asked way too enthusiastically.

"How should I know man?" I replied. The guy seemed to be nervous about failing a test. I didn't really get it.

Meanwhile, observing us from the brush away from us, there was a tall man with dark red hair who was wearing the average Hidden Leaf Jonin uniform.

"So those are my new students. I have to admit I'm nervous, luckily Kakashi senpai gave me a ton of tips of what I should do. First thing he said I should do is show up late. I'm not sure what good that does but he's a great ninja I'm sure his methods are effective." He thought to himself as he finally arrived at the training field with the rest of us.

"Sorry I'm late, I just happened to get a little lost." The man said. "I hope I didn't keep you guys waiting too long."

"That's clearly a lie, how could he get lost in a village he's lived his whole life in. He was probably just observing us like I said earlier." I thought.

"Oh he just got lost it was nothing to worry about." The spiky haired kid said as he breathed a sigh of relief. The girl also seemed to be relieved that the only reason the sensei was late was because he got lost.

"Are these guys serious? They believed such an obvious lie? Well at the end of the day they are just gullible kids after all. Then again, I could be giving this guy too much credit. There is a chance that this guy is just as incompetent as he comes off as." I thought.

"Anyway, since we're off to a late start we should get started right away. Let's start off with introduction, I'll get things started. My name is Koga Aomine, I like long walks in the park, I dislike rainy days, and my goal is to be the best teacher possible." Koga Sensei said.

"That didn't really tell me much about the guy. It was a pretty generic response, he's either holding back on giving away information about himself, or maybe he's just a boring guy."

"Now I'd like for you three to respond in the same format. Let's see, how about we go with ladies first?" He said.

"Oh, um, m-my name is Akari Akimichi." She shyly stammered. "I like sweets, and I don't like letting people down, my goal is to m-make my family proud."

"Akimichi? Isn't that the same clan Choji was from? She seems a bit slim compared to the other Akimichi that I know of. Seems like that causes a bit of tension at home. Oh well, it's none of my business." I thought.

"Alright, next how about you?" Koga sensei said pointing at the guy next to me.

"Yes sir!" He shouted as he stood and saluted. "My name is Kenichiro Saruki, member of the Saruki clan, we are loyal retainers to the Sarutobi clan and steadfast supporters of the Hokage! I like the Hokage, and I dislike the enemies of the Hidden Leaf, my goal is to put my life on the line to protect Lord Hiruzen!"

"This guy seems loyal and patriotic, which is fine, but he also seems like an uptight guy that takes things too seriously. Not to mention he dragged out his introduction a lot more than he had to. A girl with family issues, an obnoxious Hokage fanatic, and a Kakashi wannabe for a sensei, not to sound like Shikamaru but, these guys seem like a real drag."
