As Aoki finished off the vampire and prepared to leave, a voice called out from behind.
Turning, he saw a man in military uniform, accompanied by three women and a man, all in uniform.

"Guren Ichinose… so that's him?" Aoki frowned, slightly, at Guren Ichinose's smiling gaze. He'd heard the name many times from Yūichirō Hyakuya, but hadn't expected Guren Ichinose to be this strong.
A direct confrontation would be difficult, even for Aoki, unless he went all out from the start.
"Kid, interested in joining the Moon Demon Company? I don't know how you obtained Cursed Gear, but I acknowledge your strength," Guren Ichinose said, with a casual familiarity that Aoki didn't find unpleasant.
"I'll consider it," Aoki replied, then left without looking back.
Shinoa Hīragi appeared, standing with the others, watching Aoki's retreating figure, her thoughts unreadable.
"Hey! Guren!" Yūichirō Hyakuya, seeing Guren Ichinose and the others from the classroom's gaping hole, shouted, "Let me join the Moon Demon Company! My strength is more than enough!"
Guren Ichinose glanced at Yūichirō Hyakuya shouting from the classroom, a frown appearing on his face. "What are you yammering about, brat?! Shut up!"
"Effective immediately, you're assigned to the vampire extermination unit," Shinoa Hīragi said to Aoki.
Guren Ichinose hadn't intended to let Yūichirō Hyakuya join the extermination unit yet, as he hadn't fulfilled the requirement of making a friend.
But Yoichi Saotome's appearance revealed that Yūichirō Hyakuya had made a friend, surprising Guren Ichinose even more than Aoki's ability to kill a vampire.
"That's great, Yūichirō! You're finally joining the vampire extermination unit!" Yoichi Saotome celebrated beside Yūichirō Hyakuya.
"Oh, and Yoichi Saotome, you're also allowed to join the vampire extermination unit," Shinoa Hīragi announced, delivering another surprise.
"Though we didn't see it, you went to the classroom where the vampire was, to help Yūichirō Hyakuya, right? We highly commend your bravery in protecting your friend."
She looked at Yūichirō Hyakuya. "So, now we're your most hated companions."
"Welcome to the Moon Demon Company."
"So, what's your decision?" In the student dormitory, Guren Ichinose found Aoki and reiterated his offer.
"I have a question. Did Yūichirō Hyakuya join the Moon Demon Company?" Aoki didn't answer directly, instead asking about Yūichirō Hyakuya's status. "You should know. Yūichirō Hyakuya isn't simple. His power is beyond your and my imagination."
A flicker of surprise crossed Guren Ichinose's eyes—a fleeting moment, but Aoki caught it, confirming his suspicions.
"Yes, Yūichirō Hyakuya joined the Moon Demon Company," Guren Ichinose admitted. "Since you know Yūichirō Hyakuya isn't simple, you're probably not simple either, right?"
Guren Ichinose didn't reject Aoki's application because he knew things he shouldn't.
Aoki's strength was unfathomable, and recruiting him would be highly beneficial.
"You don't need to know much about me, and I don't need to tell you anything. Just know that my joining the Moon Demon Company benefits you. Since Yūichirō Hyakuya is already in, I'll join too," Aoki stated.
"And put me in the same squad as Yūichirō Hyakuya."
Aoki agreed to join, adding his request. It wasn't excessive; for Guren Ichinose, it was a simple matter.
Now, it was just a matter of whether Guren Ichinose would agree.
"Excellent. You're one of the few who dare to be so bold in front of me. Your request is granted," Guren Ichinose laughed, his tone jovial.
"Welcome to the Moon Demon Company."
He left Aoki's dorm.
"Ding!"
"Congratulations, host, on joining the Moon Demon Company! A reward is now issued!"
The system's prompt sounded, and three options appeared in Aoki's mind:

After upgrading his Susano'o to the fourth stage, the option didn't disappear, changing to (0/3), like the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan upgrade.
