Chapter 159 - DSWS: Chapter 159

"Yūichirō Hyakuya and Shihō Kimizuki's Love-Hate Relationship" After settling into his seat, Yūichirō Hyakuya noticed the student behind him

"Yūichirō Hyakuya and Shihō Kimizuki's Love-Hate Relationship"

After settling into his seat, Yūichirō Hyakuya noticed the student behind him was lounging in the same position as Guren Ichinose had been earlier—feet up on the desk—though a book concealed their face.

Still fuming from Guren Ichinose's earlier lecture, Yūichirō Hyakuya decided to pick a fight. "Hey! What are you doing? This is my seat. Keep your feet off my desk."

The student didn't react. Yūichirō Hyakuya tried again. "Hey! Did you hear me?"

The student finally responded, clearly annoyed. "What? You're so noisy. Is it lunchtime already?"

They removed the book, revealing the boy from their earlier altercation.

"Aren't you that lamppost from this morning? What are you doing here?" Yūichirō Hyakuya was surprised; this wasn't a place just anyone could enter.

Aoki also focused his attention on the boy.

"Ding!"

Shihō Kimizuki:

Identity: One of the Seraph of the End experiment subjects.

Personality: Lazy, cunning, brave, righteous, and tsundere.

Skills: None.

Combat Power: 2935

Overall Assessment: B-level

"Another Seraph of the End experiment subject. What is this?" Aoki's interest in "Seraph of the End" intensified.

His intuition told him it was significant, perhaps even world-destroying.

Meanwhile, Shihō Kimizuki, seeing Yūichirō Hyakuya, remembered their morning encounter. He approached Yūichirō Hyakuya, annoyed. "Are you kidding me? That was my line! And what's with the 'lamppost' thing?!"

They began to argue.

Guren Ichinose, watching from the podium, looked exasperated. "What's with these two? I told Shinoa to help Shihō make friends last month, right? Under your supervision." He looked at Shinoa Hīragi.

"Yes," Shinoa Hīragi replied, "The results speak for themselves. I diligently supervised them. Shihō Kimizuki attacked Yūichirō Hyakuya this morning to test his strength. Don't ask if I intervened; I enjoyed watching."

As they spoke, Yūichirō Hyakuya and Shihō Kimizuki's argument turned into a fight.

Guren Ichinose intervened. "You're too loud!"

With a swift roundhouse kick, he sent both flying into the classroom door, knocking them both to the ground.

Guren Ichinose looked relieved. "Okay, the troublemakers are dealt with. Let's start class."

"Listen up! We have a Cursed Gear adaptability test in a week. Your abilities will be assessed. Failure means no test, so work hard."

After class, they were taken elsewhere. The speaker was a beautiful brown-haired woman named Sayuri Hanayori, their instructor and a member of Guren Squad.

Yūichirō Hyakuya and the others had different thoughts about the test.

Yoichi Saotome: "I… I'll be fine, right?"

Yūichirō Hyakuya: "Definitely no problem. I'll get the strongest weapon!"

Shinoa Hīragi: "Haha, saying that again? Don't forget, we have a monster in our class."

Aoki: "Can I skip it? I'm afraid my stats will break the charts."

Shihō Kimizuki: (Silence)

"Today's training assesses teamwork. You'll work in pairs," Sayuri Hanayori announced. Yūichirō Hyakuya panicked.

"What? Pairs? Yoichi…" He looked at Yoichi Saotome, but Aoki had already approached him.

"Yoichi, let's team up. Don't worry; I'll get you through the test," Aoki said.

Shinoa Hīragi pouted; she'd wanted to team up with Yoichi Saotome.

"Hey, you two…" Yūichirō Hyakuya was frustrated.

"Anyone else?" He looked around. Everyone had a partner, except one person: Shihō Kimizuki.

Shihō Kimizuki stared at Yūichirō Hyakuya, who stared back. They both looked utterly resigned.

"Seriously?"

They reluctantly teamed up. Sayuri Hanayori watched from above.

"Listen up! Since you've formed pairs, training begins. I'll score you, so give it your all."

The iron doors in the training area opened, revealing two-meter-tall giant monsters—clearly military training constructs.

"Military shikigami puppets," Shihō Kimizuki recognized them instantly. His wrist was chained to Yūichirō Hyakuya's.

"They look weak," Yūichirō Hyakuya smirked.

Shihō Kimizuki: "Just destroy them and get points."

They both moved, but the chain connecting their wrists pulled them back.

"Damn it! You're aiming for that puppet! What are you doing?!" Shihō Kimizuki was furious.

"You're the one messing around!" Yūichirō Hyakuya retorted.

A puppet attacked them from behind, punching them both.

"Ow! Ow! Ow!"

Sayuri Hanayori recorded their performance.

"Hyakuya-Shihō team, minus ten points."

Aoki watched, speechless. He pulled out several kunai, his eyes transforming into three-tomoe Sharingan.

After observing for two seconds, he threw the kunai, each slicing the puppets' necks at impossible angles.

All the puppets' heads fell to the ground.

Sayuri Hanayori's eyes widened in shock.
